I bought the dMIX 600 a few months ago, and now the pitch fader at the left side is broken...and I don't have any feedback from the company about how I can get parts to replace. In my point of view, Cortex doesn't care with theirs costumers.
Have you tested the dmix-600? I'm interested in obtaining a inexpensive & light unit like this and im having trouble choosing between this, the idj2 or the gemini cdm. do you have any suggestions??
@hikon3000 I'm pretty sure that you can't use the dmix 300/600 with even a computer because it wont know how to find the files. It needs to be a flash drive or hard drive. Also, no, you can't use it with any dj software.
one thing that was not covered; for the Cortex D-mix 600 for the hard drives, does it handle NTFS file systems or does it just handle FAT32 file systems?
he had 2 5000s linked to the dmix 600. and the thing is, the 600 only has 2 channel mixer built in to it, so how would he mix the music from the 5000s?
on the top of the console there are some nifty switches which actually have a msd or ph1/ln1 selector which basically allows you to choose between either a mass storage device I.E. the usb ports or the other phone lines which are the RCA ports in the back or between turntables or cd players.
have this console tooke me a while to figure that out lol
i ordered two of these, and waiting for them.....he talks about saving to the harddrive??? i didnt even know it had a hardrive. how big is it? or does he mean flashdrive? or external usb device?

can you use your laptop, or virtual dj on the dmix 600????
tijeffery509 2 years ago 2
cortex and a few users have stated that you can plug anything (including computers) to it BUT:
I have no idea what kind of cord/cable is needed or which port to use on my laptop for that. and nowhere can i find any information about that.

nice interview, how do you reckon it stacks up against the mk3s, and how does the platter feel when compared to the pioneer ones?
