  • Actually pretty dumb of Saruman to choose Sauron's side. Gandalf and Saruman were both Istari, they were both MAIAR. Same level as Sauron. Together they would have quite a big chance against the forces of Mordor.

  • The problem is: They've taken form as Istari, their true power is hidden until the end of the One Ring and Sauron... and even more... Sauron was the most powerful Maia, even if they were in their true forms the fight would be fought

  • 0:13 - 0:49

    Most epic comeback ever.

  • search: Saruman Hoca vs Gandalf

  • 0:55 DOTA. hmm i play that game

  • Ian McKellan as Gandalf is about as perfect as the definition of casting gets. Unless it's Christopher Lee as Saruman The White. Both wizards magnificently cast. More so because Lee is a Tolkien scholar and knows more about LOTR than most men alive.

  • @brnleague99 Couldn't have said it better myself. McKellan and Christopher Lee give such great performances in iconic roles

  • "Gibbets and Crows!" LOL

  • Aragorn ain't even mad.

  • the sound of sarumans fire ball thing is just too awsome

  • In this part it is incredible as Gandalf confronts his enemy Saruman he has discussion with him. As Saruman tries to attack gandalf at 2:56. However Gandalf breaks Saruman's staff. And Saruman is once and for all defeated at 3:09!! Gandalf has some similaries like Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series!!!

  • @Kinsman525 Gandalf would be more powerful than Prof. Dumbledore. However, Saruman makes for a more interesting character than Gandalf. The "conflicted" characters are always fascinating.

  • Cannot for the life of me understand how they could have left this part out of the original and only put it in the extended version. Imagine how great this would have sounded in the theaters.

  • @MrDreamdweller I agree 100%.

  • @MrDreamdweller to make you want to buy the extended version.

  • trololololo

  • Should have summoned a lighting storm instead!

  • Saruman is awesome.

  • So they... can shoot fireballs like RPG wizards? It caught me off-guard! O_o Totally awesome, however. If only their duel in the first movie was a liiittle bit more like this... I also wish they hadn't taken the scene away from the final film.

  • GRIMA!

  • in the description... its Saruman the white and Gandalf the grey... not white gandalf...

  • hmm Saruman died in hobbiton...not isengard

  • I want to have 'whatever I say happens' powers like Gandalf too

  • I hope Saruman plays a prominent part in the Hobbit movie--and the movie shows him as Good. It will be a great contrast, taken in context of how bad he turned, and it shows the power of the ring to corrupt.

  • this is a must see clip. I don't get why he deleted it. It explains everything.

  • @HarryPotterOnly

because it slows down the pacing

  • @packets1 True, but this is a vital scene. If it slows down the speed, maybe they could've cut out some parts of Edoras. I just believe its vital

  • i havent seen this scene. is there an extended cut or something?

  • @alexhighflyer

    Yes there is. Watch it.

  • They really should have shown this in the theater. Saruman's fate needed to be told and brought closure.

  • @KaiserJames I completely agree, when pippin found his orb no one ever questioned how he got it.

  • this is what he really said youtube com/watch?v=KaqC5FnvAEc

  • peste qd ele vira branco ele tb ganha poder da fala?

  • nanananannananananan

  • I just find it funny when Saruman's staff breaks and he stands there looking at his shitty bony hand looking like a complete moron!! :D

  • yes the taliban are exactly like gandalf and theoden

i'd like to know what you are smoking

  • people are so blind in the world.. the army of of gandalf in lord of the rings is fighting for the good in this film and he clearly say we will have peace when u answer for the dead people and more..

this is the case in afghan and muslim countries, the taliban want peace but they cant because the american crusaders are killng many muslim people and they shall have peace when they destroy the american army and their leader..

  • @xTLzZ

  • tl;dr skip to 3:03.

  • Saruman is a cheater! A wizard and a sith, that is an unfair advantage.

  • @Morpheus7777777

ah, but Gandalf is also the master of magnetism.

  • @Morpheus7777777

ah, but Gandalf is also the master of magnetism.

  • Turn on transcribe audio for great justice.

2:42 "It's hard enough, stick your what's it called!"

2:53 "So your thinking and your not sick, Henry Luce Pfizer!"

  • Saruman is a Jewish archetype and Gandalf is an archetype of Odin. The Lord Of The Rings is best understood as a racial allegory of the Jews Vs. The White Race. The voice of Saruman which is so irresistable that the masses cannot resist is the mainstream Jew controlled media.

  • @JenkemBananaBlitz hahahahahhaha ...retards find meaning wherever they want it to be in however form they chose.

It's just a story and nothing more. Now take your psych meds.

  • I love how this isn't what actually happened in the books.

  • @RudeBoy9179 haha i know, the fact that saruman goes back to the shire to enslave it in the books but nothing about that in the movies kinda saddens me :(

  • That is one impressing shot by Legolas.

  • @thestranger4812 He did more impressive feats in the book. There he felled a Fell Beast with a single arrow.

  • Now I can see why they didnt include this scene in the original film, it just drags on and on and on for too long.

  • I would loved it if they had concluded the fate of Saruman in the movie, even if it had been in Isengard and not in the Shire. But not this scene, this was weak.

  • Rofl, transcribe the audio XD

  • Epic counterspell

  • Book 3, Chapter 10, "The Voice of Saruman." But in the book Grima tosses the Palantir, and Saruman shoots no fireball.

  • @JenkemLepreCoon :yes that,s right, but dont forget that jews are still protected by gods hand...

  • why its the first time i see this !!???????

  • epic fail

  • gandalf der weiße ist der gewinner

  • wait wait wait!!!!! who was Orlando Bloom again?

  • What a cheesey bunch of rubbish.

  • eat shit Saruman

  • SO Gimili, what do you think about that?

    - cHOP HIS HEAD OFF! AND CUT HIS LEGS!

    easy way ROFL

  • 1:56

    "You're all going to DIE."

I've seen death and talks of the doom of the middle earth but that ONE phrase gave me the deepest chills of all the 3 movies.

Sarumons voice is so powerful and haunting.

  • Gandalf is such a badass in this scene! Not only does he not flinch from Saruman's attack, he destroys his staff just by saying its broken!

  • wery lowe you gandalfffffffff...........

  • Gandalf: Saruman... your staff is broken.

Me: Huh? No it's- *staff breaks* Oh.

  • @ProfMiddleEarth

Are you kidding, or are you actually serious here?

  • you would almost say that theoden is a litte sadistic

  • deleted scene?

  • Gandalf the Gay

  • It missed so much from the book as he isnt killed within it. Prefered the books ending for Saruman

  • This scene was so much more poignant in the book. Tolkien explains how Saruman was still very dangerous cornered, and his voice carried a power of submission and persuasion which is displayed here when he talks to Theoden and Gandalf, but it isn't obvious. In the book Theoden nearly agrees with him before they snap out of it. The rest of his doom-mongering is just the same to try and demoralise them.

  • Mithrandir

  • this is soooooo much better than the animated version of LOTR!

  • Thank GOD they put this scene in, because it is an extremely important scene in the book. Plus, that is such an epic line, "Your staff......is broken!"

  • I dont get it - how does saruman get on the top of the tower? I dont see any manhole there.

  • @vvinblog ha ha i must admit thats all I was thinking too

  • @vvinblog there's a trap door in the ceiling of the tower that you reach with stairs. That's all.

  • well i loved Ian so much but when i knew that he's a part of the LGBT.. i start hating him

  • Wow this sucks. Not surprised it was deleted.

  • @rcarrasco121 What sucked about it?

  • This scene was a big plot point in the movie. I wonder why they had to remove this scene from it.

  • how saruman and grima climb there?is there a stairs?

  • I'm wondering how the heck Saruman's servant got up there.

  • Awesome I haven't seen this scene :o?

    Where does it come from?

    Thanks for sharing this!

  • @Pizarroconquer the extended edition of lord of the ring :)

  • "... can only lead to deathh*whistle* "

  • @Thedustinjames1 wrong grammar... it's not "you're".. its "your"... "save your pitty and your mercy, i have no use for it"

  • Dannie, don't give that fucking fruitcake anymore attention! Just ignore him and his childish babble! He's probably off his medication!

  • @DannieTheElf

You're absolutely right! Hell, since he was so keen to express his negative opinion about Gandalf, why the hell would he be even watching this video, let alone talk to ME about it?? I don't give a damn what he thinks! I hate haters who deliberatly watch videos about the stuff they hate and then complain about it to those who are trying to enjoy it! tScotty32, next time, keep your negative crap to yourself as NO-ONE is interested in hearing your complaints about it!

  • you dont wanna argue .. so lets see how long you will keep this arguing going. Funny you couldn't talk civil with me at first and if i'd know you would be such a pissy little brat I'd never engaged in conversation with you. No one forced you to answer me. But apparently you desire to argue and continue on with it. Proves what your goals where to be controversal to anyone who disagree's with you.

  • @tscotty32

Why the hell would I want to talk to YOU when you kept arguing your opinions against my own? I told you that I didn't want to argue about this and you keep backtalking to ME! The proof of you backtalking to me even after Dannie told you to lay off of me, with you screaming and swearing your head off afterwords, shows how mentally unstable you are and that you're the one who won't let this go. This stupid fight you started is over. I'll ignore you next time.

  • @RogueTheElfWarrior1

You don't have to be civil to him, Rogue! If he wanted a civil conversation with you, he wouldn't of argued against your opinions, let alone put down what you said about Gandalf. He deliberately tried to provoke you a few times by backtalking to you and called you a drama queen when you didn't call him names, and admitted to pushing a fight with you in his recent comments. Next time he comments, report him to youtube!

  • @DannieTheElf

i plan to! I should have did that the moment he started screaming and swearing at us! I don't have to get to know him! What a phsycho!!

  • Comment removed

  • @DannieTheElf And yet.. and yet here you are still fussing, still arguing over what? This comes down to the very simple point that you took my comments as an argument that was never meant to be one. Then your little buddy over decided to that it would great fun to flame on me. You say I tried to provoke you by how? Coversing with you?

  • @tscotty32 You two are really sad. If you didn't want to argue then WHY are you still here arguing?? I am long over this.. you two are truly sad. I even went so far as to say I was sorry to you when you mentioned you where having problems at home & wished you well but in your rage at me you missed that obviously. You both are very immature & yes .. im done with you silly temper tamtrums. Very childish indeed.

  • one last thing twit.. learn to know the difference in someone arguing with you and someone simply talking to you. You must be mentally challanged if you thought i was arguing with you at all. I simply had questions I was trying to understand. I never came at you beating you over the head with anything. Simply talking to you. Its not my fault your unable to understand & know the difference.

  • Oh & to you Dannie fag .. I dont recall even asking YOU a damn thing. I guess you musta figured chiming in would earn you some brownie points. I hope you've succeeded. You two make a misreable lot .. So again.. last time.. im done.. I can easily find better people to converse with then two moron canadian pissy ass loosers..

  • Ya know what.. forget all this.. I am only going to say this once & im truly done with this. Rogue I truly do apologize to you for this misunderstanding that first originated & for the terrible words that followed. It's not worth getting upset over in the least bit. Your going through hard times? So we all are & i think our nerves are raw. I am done with this. Accept my apologies if you wish. I never meant to attack you as you seemed to think.

  • @tscotty32 Looks like it's SOMEONE'S day of the month. Wouldn't that suck? If whenever someone was on their period they turned into racist, homophobic scumbags?

  • @DannieTheElf I don't mean to be rude, I expected something else as your top comment has nothing to do with Saruman and white Gandalf! I have a question, how was Gandalf more intelligent and experienced than Saruman? And how did Gandalf survive after killing the the balrog? And how does Gandalf have similarities compared to Dumbledore, when Dumbledore fought and defeated Lord Voldemort??

  • @RogueTheElfWarrior1 ~ I wasn't impressed with Gandalf as a wizard. He cast very few spells & I think he should have been more powerful then what he was. He was more logical then magical it seems.

  • Comment removed

  • @RogueTheElfWarrior1 ~ Just curious but what magical talents? He broke Sarumans staff but totally weak against the Witch King. He summond some birds. I don't know .. i just wasn't impressed with it. But over all this is my all time favorite movie. Tell me also why was it difficult for him to smoke when he became a white wizard? Just wondering

  • Comment removed

  • @RogueTheElfWarrior1 wasn't arguing anything. just simply asking some questions here. thought this was a good discussion.. didn't realize you where so sensative. get a grip.. just talking.. wasn't attacking.

  • @RogueTheElfWarrior1 Then I am sorry to hear about your personal life having issues and I truly wish you the best. I decided that after yesterday I would just go buy a copy of the Hobbit & LoTRs to read so that maybe my simple questions could be answered. But being rude is hardly any way to behave. You took my chat in the wrong manner from the beginning which wasn't fair to me. Again. I wish you peace in your life. Take care

  • @tscotty32

Hey! Lay off my friend! You're the one who was being rude! If she doesn't want to have an argument or a debate with you about this, then stop talking about it!

Even I thougt you were trying to push for an argument and you seemed rude from the beginning yourself, even after she gave you her honest opinion which completey contradicted yours! She wasn't being rude to you, she was being honest and politely telling you to back off!

  • @DannieTheElf Hey dick wad.. Fuck the both of you .. Got it?? I wasn't doing anything but talking about it. SO FUCK YOU BOTH!! Canadian shit heads. This is what i get for trying to converse with fucking idiot kids. Fucking drama freaks

  • @DannieTheElf STFU!! Both you & your wittle drama queen up there can have each other. Its funny I posed the same questions on other videos & got great responces. Its only YOU TWO having a dramatic melt down. Did i force her to answer me dick head?? NO!! So if you two cant handle someone discussing something then GTFO! YOu 2 sad & pathetic brats!!

  • @tscotty32 well, the book doesn't say anything about Gandalf having trouble smoking as "The White", and I don't recall anything in the movie about it. Also, the thing about the WK breaking Gandalf's staff only happened in a deleted scene from the movie.

In the book they just stared each other down while on horseback, and just as they were about to fight, the horns of Rohan sounded and the WK had to make a hasty retreat --which was a good thing for Faramir, as he was about to be burned alive.

  • this is a terrible scene. i'm glad they removed it from the original and just added it to the extended movie/deleted scenes.

  • was this in one of the movies ? cause i honestly cant remember it

  • amazing writing..... love the words.... gibbets and crows! Dotard!

  • One of his greatest acts. I bow to him

  • Saruman's power came from his voice. He was a great persuader while others were great fighters.

I love the way that magic is perceived in Lord of the Rings. Not like harry potter crap :)

  • Christopher Lees voice is so powerful and you can imagine him once his staff his broken to have the power of his voice left. Bernard Hill is a great actor I love his lines that say: Where is the horn that was blowing ect. They are so dramatic and he does them very well.
