This belongs to one of my favourite Amiga games. I almost got to play the "final levels" but I did lack the men which I should have saved from earlier "campaings" (as I call those nowadays, back then they were just levels). In early campaigns 30 men per level was enough so you could save men for finals (~ 10 men saved ) but later you had to increase the amount of men. I love the music of this game and those little speeches "We won" or "We conquered the sector" etc. were just marvellous.
AKA "Tyrants!: Fight through Time" This game has gotta be 1 of the coolest strategy games EVER created. Great replay value, good graphics, great playability, (1 of the 1st RTS games),etc. The only thing that could possibly make it any better would be, multi-player ability. I wish somebody would make a "Tyrants! 2" with multi-player ability. I could care less if they even kept the original graphics. Personally I like certain early-mid 90's graphics. Screw 3D/Hi-Res, RAM munching graphics.
You only know that it swore because you must have hacked it. I know because I had a `Datel Electronic Pro` cartridge and managed to extract all the midi clips from it. You don't hear it swear in the game only if you hack it.
But what a game. I loved it. My child hood was taken up with great games like this one.
Bring back the Amiga 500 (or 1200 if you were lucky).
I still play this on my XBOX with the megadrive rom, Infact I have all the roms u can think of, and it's for sale....all snes roms, megadrive, amiga, atari st,Nintendo 64,all 8 bit roms too and xbox games too....Offers accepted.....drop me a line. Thousands of games on a massive HD. This XBOX will blow ur mind.
Great music and soundeffects, i hated it that i had to decide if i want sound or music .. !
The amiga version is the best one, i also have the snes version but the sound&music is not so good and it is better to play the game with a mouse. WE NUKE THEM !!
I loved this game on the Amiga but could never find a copy that worked (bootlegs were all shitty, could never find it in the shops).. I looked for a copy for years, even the modern emulators would not work (the ROM also corrupt!); last year I paid £15 for a copy of the megadrive version - quite steep but worth every penny.. Amazing to thik a game could still have you in its sway after 20 years.. The same for Civilisation - I play that to this day! :)
Don't get me wrong but I have also a feeling A amiga version of a game is something wrong
.True also when I had my real amiga I don't remember game to crashing so many times or maybe.
Thanks for comment I stop making Amiga presentation clips because is hard to make people watch ...and I felt my work doesn't meaning anything, there ARE many users like me.
Yes it is...but probably will not work anyway...You can get Winuae and play Amiga version of game (but this version sometime crash when you playing -_-), you can also get SNES version (but this version have different music etc.-_-).
The megadrive version is pretty good - faithful to the Amiga original in sound and ok to control too - it uses a series of 'blocks' where the cursor will point to in order to reduce how fiddly it is - damn good version and no slowdown..
It´s ingame music alright. However parts of it is actually taken from "The Planets" by Holst. What you hear is from the part of "The Planets" called "Mars".
play the clone.. just search for gigalomania clone at google

Someone should remake this game in Flash or something. The internet deserves a good game such as this.

I found using the speed time command caused the PC to cheat it's ass off and advance at double the normal rate.

@andy7666 Sahme both the Megadrive and SNES versions were terrible.
This was a great game...yet no update/remake?
Could do well on Xbox Live/PSN with a HD makeover.
