Barnes was and maybe still is a 'Who's Who' of stars of stage and screen. In the 60's,70's and early 80's when I lived there, I remember the Geeson family (Mum & Dad,Sally & Judy Geeson), singers Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson, Alan Price (The Animals), Derek Benfield (The Brothers), Frank Thornton (Are you being served), Robin Gibb (The BeeGees), Honor Blackman (Goldfinger), Diana Rigg (The Avengers) and so on. It was and probably still is an amazing village that is so close to London.

I remember him going into the shops at Barnes, S.W.13.London where he lived.
Also Anthony Hopkins, the late Jon Pertwee, the late Sydney Tafler and Sam Kydd shopped there as they were residents too.
