Nintendo does not make barbie games. In fact nintendo makes a very small minority of the games on the Nintendo Wii console which adds to why 97% at least of the wii game titles suck. Most of the bad games are third party. I am not saying nintendo does not make bad games but they do make a fairly large chunk of the wii's good titles. So what you said is kinda unfair to nintendo.
Also, lets be honest... what games have Nintendo actually made in the last 10 years that are original? Its just rehashing the same characters into things like racing, golf, tennis and the olympics... either that or they go even lazier and release another Legend of Zelda game which literally has the exact same story.

They use a synthesizer with a SID chip in it. The SID chip was originally used in the commodore 64. A really old computer. That is where a lot of the unique sounds come from :)
Actually the most instrumental song from Jets'n'Guns are the original from what I know, they just found lyrics and reworked the music so it could be fitting.
I was very recently introduced to MaSu.
I must say, they've made their way to my top rather quickly. :D
