Watched your video arround the time when it was uploaded when i was looking to buy a Blitz Nür Spec-S. Now having the Blitz for well over a year i'm contemplating on buying a second hand prodrive exhaust because it's more "daily drive friendly" than the blitz.

Just wanted to say thanks for making this video cause this is the second time it came in handy for me :) also nice you made a decent quality video ...

Thanks for a good UK compare vid of the two exhausts. It's helped me decide to go with the Pro Drive as the Blitz is way ott. I don't think I could put up with a 250 mile drive with that sort of noise.

@Krimghor yes brand does differ because certain brands build pipes with different bends and every detail (size, shape, length) it all effects the power

@jeesingh Sorry I'm from the states and we don't get the PPP version and I couldn't find it on Google, so what are the differences between it and a regular STI?

@iXetsuei The Prodrive Performance Pack is a £2,000/$3,000 factory upgrade which consists of upgraded ecu, fuel pump, high flow catalyst, exhaust, bhp up from 265 to 305 and 18% more torque, Prodrive recommend upgrading to 18" with PPP fitment hence the 18" Turinis.

I have the oval tip. It has a lovely deep bass rumble and non of the raspyness of the Nur Spec.

SO tempted to get a Nur Spec for my Subaru. My car is the same year and currently has a very similar exhaust setup to yours. Do you find the Nur Spec a lot louder on the motorway? Does it render the stereo completely useless?

@s1dnac1t Thanks for the reply. I had a Cobra Sport system on my Impreza when I got it, but I reverted back to a more standard system as I didn't really like the look of the Cobra. I didn't find the Cobra system a problem, but I think the Nur is a bit louder!

@drac0nyx Yeah i agree it sounds better, but it looks horrible, plus it aint that loud, i prefer them louder, my exhaust is loud but when you shut the windows and floor it you can hardly hear it, too much sound deadining in the car.

@rossy24m it's pretty loud! Love the noise so don't mind it, not ideal for a daily driver.

@rossy24m Don't use super unleaded, I use V Power. I will get about 200 miles on average from about 52 litres.

i have the same car in the vid exept mines is grey, the version 9 blobeye is my favourite shape, mines aint bad on the fuel and it has a 3" decat with a remap and i love flooring it reguarly, the truth is ive never really had a car that averages above 25mpg so im used to it.

With the PPP System and The Blitz Nur Spec R System there little different and the sound of this WRX STi is still like the Stock- BOXER Engine ;) !

I've got the standard Prodrive exhaust on my 02 STi. I think its very nice and its civilized on the motorway, but that Blitz system just sounds so agressive. Very nice! :-)

No difference in fuel as far as I can tell, seems to rev a lot more freely. Definitely recommend changing from the standard Prodrive exhaust for the sound alone.
