@RaeRae914 He's my fiancé now. =] Well, my fiancé is back, but I don't think anyone is ever back for good. If he stays in the military and chooses not to get out, he might deploy again. I don't know what the future holds in that department. But, short answer is, yes, he's back! xD So happy about that!!

Thank you. My BF just left from our R&R and all you said makes sense. When he left the 2nd time I didn't cry, but now I feel heavy and sad. We had a wonderful time together and now I'm back to square one. :)

Being a little sad once they leave is normal, but I think you'll find that you're a lot more capable of dealing with this than you could possibly have imagined before. well I am really sad just got home from the Airport from taking Sam back I cried for about 2 hours after he got on the plane I I have to say seeing him turn and walk away from me was like a knife in my heart. well Sam got me a puppy to keep my mind straight so I will be on here alot to be able to talk to other woman like me and just listening to some good songs

I love all my Army wifes, girl friends that are like my family now I need all of ya'll right now

Hey well I am just getting Sam is still asleep so I thought that I would let yall know that things are great and I am so happy to have Sam around not ready for him to have to go back but it is a week left so I am going to spend all my time with him

Sam got to come home today I was out side planting flowers and he came walking up and I just jumped in his arms and cried I thought that he was coming next friday but he is here now So I thought that I would let everyone know he is home for two weeks So I want be on a lot but I still have my email on here that comes to my phone I will let everyone know how things are going good

One of my friends spent her entire first year of marriage apart from her husband because he was unexpectedly deployed right after they got married. At least you know exactly when he's coming back and you won't miss your anniversary like she did. The first year is supposed to be the most difficult. If you can make it through deployment, you can make it through anything!

Well thanks very much I needed that. Sam is coming home in a week for R&R he will get two weeks then he will be off again. Till July 30th so I am going to make a chain and I am going to go get some flowers today thank for the helpful tips. The only thing that I can say is that I have friends but they are not Army wifes are they have no clue what I say when I talk to them so it is good to have people that can push me to a happy place in this hard time so thanks again

that picture thing is a good idea.! i whould do that but my husband broke are nice ass camra in iraq =((( but he said for me to buy a vido camra . and he will get a another camra sometime later or when he gets back ima have to do your idea thoe. i love that . =))

@litcece You're very welcome, dear. I hope him going back isn't too rough on you. I understand what you mean about your friends. My civilian friends had a hard time relating to what my problems were. Definitely talk to other people who are going through deployment. It helps tremendously. If you need anything else, let me know.

yes !!!a video awsome im the first to comment =) As for the tip I have not been there yet but my time is comeing up so what i have been doing is getting my self ready to expect the time that he is going to have to go but think that we are half way done and about to come home so the cup is half empty and almost there. So i just gotta remind my self that when my time comes. =))

It's a tricky balancing act, though. Don't spend your entire time on your husbands R&R being sad that he's going away, you know? I made this mistake during my boyfriend's first deployment R&R, and I regretted that I didn't spend more time just being in the moment and being happy that I was with him. Just keep that in mind when he comes home. I'm excited for you! Yay for R&R!
