Yeah, for a cheap practical vehicle, we're actually not too far away from flying cars. Once we get something simple to operate that takes off and lands vertically we'll be good.
Paragliding wings might be the beggining.
Stuff like this video is useful for industrial and military work. For every day commuting, I want a sexy, luxurious car.
If it can fly, then that's bonus. I don't need a car with 16 wheels that's elevated 10 feet off the ground that is essentially a robot....
