I understood that Beck was so nearly deaf that the only speakers that were active on this were his monitors and that they were loud enough to fill the hall, don't know if this is myth or not. Love this Video.
It's true. Beck was ready to turn his amps up really loudly, but since the audience wasn't the usual rock crowd (there mostly for Monty Python), the sound guys funneled his entire signal into the monitors, all without telling Beck.
