  • Jund player never search for basic land (path to exile )

  • ok i wanna play magic i play yugioh right now........ i understand theres magna cards and when u summon a monster it hads a manna cost so u use some of your manna off your manna card... monsters cant be summoned unless your have a land that is required on that card on the field. now i also know about artifacts and i know there like equips in yugioh but when the monster gets destroyed they get "dropped" now can you tell me some other basic info? thanks alot

  • @rune2u4u Just check online for stuff. There are tons of beginners guides to MTG. I think WizardsMTG on youtube even has a set of tutorials to get you started.

  • @rune2u4u

    first of...u got 20 life.

a deck about 60 cards minimum...

    ca. 20lands 20 creatures 20 sorcery spells / instants...

u start with drawing 7 cards...

u can play a land each of ur turns at the beginning...

on the upper right side youll se the mana which u need to summon something..

maybe u got a forest first round and on hand birds of paradise...then u can tap the forest and pay with the 1 green mana the bords of paradise.

and so on...build your deck like u want.forget yugioh

  • Are the sleeves Dragon Shield? Thanks.

  • so I just got into this game a couple days ago, and holy hell its confusing

  • @awesomeattic I know, isn't it great!

  • @KlotzProductions It would be more fun if I knew how to play haha

  • 2:00 No land fetch when he got Exile'd? Way to miss a miniature mana ramp xD

  • the backround noise!! it pains me!

  • @KamenGokai99 he put down his second plains after the other guys first land

  • I,,, am sooo confused....

  • hehe.. steppe lynx

  • Calic's Mono white decks were by far my favorite decks to watch from your older videos. Is he still playing these days? If so, what does he play now?

  • @dimecollectorsc I actually don't see him anymore so I am not really sure what he is up to.

  • @KlotzProductions 0:21 - 0:32 i dont mean to be rude and try and fault you but im a noob and i just spotted it

  • mono white not full white

  • @GREATCORNHOLIO1PSN Actually "Full White" is what Calic called his deck, so that's what it was.

  • how come in the beginning he put dow 2 plains?

  • @KamenGokai99 When exactly are you referring to because I don't see him play 2 plains at the beginning anywhere.

  • LOL "Steppé Linx" eh...

  • The Jund player didn't search for a basic land when his opponent Path to exiled his thrinax.. I know it's a "may" trigger.. but for a free land... why not?

  • what is better yugioh or magic?

  • @Yugioh99Freak magic lol. Yugioh gets old. Everyone plays the same decks. You'll see tons of different decks in MTG because there are tons of cards that can work well with eachother, not like in yugioh where unless you spend 100+ dollars to make a top tier deck you won't go anywhere.

  • @FireLord2506RS not to mention in yugioh regular cards(no effect) are useless now and in order to go anywhere you almost have to have synchro.

  • @AdvocateofOdin New stuff came out, called Xyz too. They're stupid :P I have yugioh cards. My deck was tier 1 a few formats ago, but all this new stuff came out and now I have no idea. I don't really feel like bothering to improve it though, magic is more fun.

  • @FireLord2506RS oh yeah i saw my friends with some of those. I know theyre trying to mix things up but its like come on stop releasing bs. Synchros are IMO lame, either way Magic is more fun

  • As a left handed person, watching the Jund guy shuffle was irritating. Good game though. Reminds me to get my dragon deck going.

  • I could barely keep up with anything

  • i like cheese

  • the guy on the right has a very weak looking deck.

  • could the guy in the orange move about anymore >.<

  • you guys have a lot of powerfullcards and great stradegies

  • Nice Game

  • I love how their shirts match their sleeves. lol

  • @Varney1488 0:15

    He says that!

  • He missed getting his land off path to exile

  • omg he fumbles around so fucking much

  • In any game or sort, its just annoying to see someone pressing their mobile for anything.

  • @Luxifer83 I agree

  • guys!! i need help im looking for good card game for 2+ players can u give me advice please please!!!!

  • @NightmareSender Magic

  • i wish wotc whould upload vids in this quality

  • Who dosent go get a land of path there OMG

  • @Imythatguy a bad player

  • I have vampire onslaught it's amazing :)

  • i have an elxir of immoertality but i live in new york

  • Annoying card shuffling, magic has the most fidgety players I've ever seen.

  • OMG STOP SHUFFLING YOUR HAND.

  • OMG these kids play like its nothing they just....know D:

  • @TehScreamer

its kinda like Duel Masters but a bit more complicated.

  • Anyone know where I can get full art land cards.? Having trouble finding them online. :p

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI I am not sure but Zendikar lands are kinda full art.. they are my favorite.

  • @KlotzProductions they are unglued, and they are 3 for nonfoil, and 15 for a foil.

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI They're called "Unlands" or lands from "Unhinged"

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI your local card shop my have some, or the internet. mine sells em for like 25 cents a piece? something like that.

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI If you live near Oxford Valley Mall in PA, I'm giving 2 away for either one Elite Vanguard or an Elixir of Immortality.

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI Otherwise, try Unglued/Unhinged (not sure about the last one)

Unglued has also got the full art lands :)

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI You're looking for Zendikar lands. Be prepared to pay extra for them. They're really popular.

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI zendikar, that's where the full art lands came from.

  • @IxXxIZZYxXxI unhinged lands are full art, they are really expansive ($18.00 for a foil XD) but id go with Zendikar lands.

  • i need some dang cards so gimme some if u will

  • look all you bastards who call us magic people nerds and rere and stuff just go get a life we like magic deal with it ok now stop looking up stuff that u dont even like and go get a gf cause if u dont like magic y would u look it up so just stop

  • @fishingtoday1 dont feed the trolls

  • @Tehgamerdude254 its alot differint and is better in some ways and yet it can have it downs like yugioh i highly recoumened playing it and give it a few months of playing, pluse or minuse a few b4 judging completly

  • the jund player with his mabia of shufflling his hand makes me want to go to bed.

  • I NEED one of those playing mats.

  • @Robert2012x Believe me, im not gay. But until we find a cure, we will treat all of them fairly. Jk, just a joke.

  • @Robert2012x Sir, i do walk into bars and say that. But i dont play magic. JK, I do play magic!!

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF THOSE PLASTIC THINGS THE COVER THE CARDS? (im not english)

  • @shalomcurtido "sleeves"

  • @KlotzProductions well it's opaque sleeves, normal sleeves are clear. And wow you guys are fast, i play with my other half and are new to it but it's nice to see how others do it, hoping to make a MTG friday night one day ^^

  • @shalomcurtido lawls

  • @shalomcurtido They are called Sleeves. You can get them almost in ANY card shop. Or bookshop. You can get them with colours or dragons or almost anything.

  • 2:31 u are supposed to shuffle after cascade

  • NERDS go home ur moms calling u

  • Hey anyone know where they got those cool sleeves and playmats?

  • @vverewolfchick You can buy the stuff online or at local card / hobby shops.

  • got it for ps3, epic game to play, especially because of the fact i love strategic games :P

  • is it ok i have no idea what's going on ?

  • for some reason it's more fun playing than watching. anyone else feel the same? but it's still interesting to watch to see who is playing and how they play

  • @tubifer I totally agree!

  • dont understand why the guy at the beginning took three instead of buffing his putrid leech to a 4/4 by giving up two life and then destroying his guy, unless theres something big that im missing that seems like a dumb move to me :/

  • i'll summon Chuck Norris . . . .

  • so who won :S

  • I'm buying the starter kit lol i played it a couple of times with my friends xD it was a bit fun even though i lost horrendously

  • bonesaw is ready! OMFG REALLY?

  • NERDS!

  • WHAT IS THE POINT OF POPPING A FETCH LAND AT THE END OF YOUR OPPONENTS TURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I run that same White deck but i edited it with some/alot of lifegain aside from lifelink

  • but at the same time, the PtE text is : "Its controller MAY search his or her library for a basic land card", so he maybe has a reason to not fetch one...

  • @KlotzProductions I get what you mean, it's a habit to me too. But when I see opponents doing it really dramatically like Corey is right here I tend to ignore it more easily, it's more when they're doing slightly or with one hand that makes me look :L

  • I really wish people would read Path to Exile.

  • @HeSeeksSolace Thanks, you noticed that too. First, I tought he didn't fetch a basic land after the PtE, because he drew all of them, but at 0:45 , you can see that he has a swamp in his library before he shuffle it. So indeed, he missed to put a basic land in play after the Path to exile in 2:03

  • i don't play jund but i read the effect of the 3 to cast thrinax and it says put 3 tokens when it dies or is put into a graveyard whatsoever, why didn't i see any token hit the board? And yes i know the first 1 was exiled but i think he played 2 or more thrinaxes in this game.

  • @TheGIchimaru One was exiled... the second one never died.

  • @KlotzProductions

lol yeah i rewatched the video and i saw it. Hehe don't know what i was smoking when i posted that, probably because i've watched a lot of magic videos and i'm mixing up all of what's happened. Anyway thanks for replying and for posting these great magic videos. :)

  • @KlotzProductions be honest, do people play magic more than yugioh? or the other way around? just wondering,.

  • @Tehgamerdude254 I think more people play magic... I mean they do have professional tournaments worth thousands of dollars and it has been around longer I am pretty sure. I couldn't tell you for sure though.

  • @KlotzProductions is every deck diffrent not like yugioh where there are pretty standard builds like six samurais and fables etc. is magic like that, or can you get any deck and customize the way you want and still be pro?

  • @Tehgamerdude254 It depends... yes you can customize your deck to your liking and there are many different alterations of the same deck. However, in the big picture it is usually the same decks you can expect to see at the tournament tables. That is what allows you to prepare your sideboard for the metagame ahead of time.

  • hey guys i'm kinda getting back to magic. last time i played was when they released the kamigawa block (i love spirits), and i left it cause the LFS closed down. what does standard, extended, legacy, etc. mean??? can you show up with your home deck?? to these tournaments

  • how you doing i like this alot

  • lol this is kinda random but at around 1:45 you could hear a bunch of guys talking about how they hate it when people states steppe lynx wrong.

  • What kind of deck should I use if I just started playing Magic? I like to do as much damage as possible. Please help.

  • I GOT A VAMPIRE DECK AN ANGEL DECK AND A GOBLIN DECK

  • Where did you buy the covers for your cards?

  • @TheWorldofnoob I bought them from the card shop I record at which is Something 2 Do in Oxmoore Mall in Louisville Kentucky. I am sure you can buy them from retailers on line as well.

  • @KlotzProductions In louisville eh? im in portsmouth Ohio. Castle Comics is falling through and when it does me and my buds will need somewhere else to go to buy our cards lol kinda bad when we have to carpool to go by cards....

  • @McEG13 Probs best just buying online hey, you can get a deck builder app for your iphone, has all the cards in it helps you pre-make a deck and then you can go an order em online. or just buy fatpacks etc

  • the way this is set up is sweet

  • my friend has a perfect sliver deck... ive never beaten it..... :(

  • watching these videos made me realize how noob i am. :(

  • Is there a cookie cutter build for Jund decks?

  • @IAreFauxReal Um... bloodbraid elf, blightning, and sprouting thrinax are in pretty much every jund deck.

  • why am i watching this i don't even know what they are doing XD

  • its like they're on fast forward...btw red decks all the wayyyyyy!

  • You put covers on ALL the cards? Also, what's the maximum/minimum amount of cards allowed in a deck?

  • @left2live Minimum is 60 in constructed. There is no maximum size. The sleeves are to protect the cards during play.

  • @KlotzProductions

Ah thanks. I'll take a look around for my old starter deck now... It should be with my Yu-gi-oh cards somewhere..

  • @KlotzProductions

One more thing: What's the starting HP for each player and, can you go over if ever you activate something that heals you?

  • @left2live each player starts with 20 life in 1 on 1 competition, in 2 v 2 competition the 2 person team gets a total of 30 life to share. You can be at 1 Billion life if you can get that high lol, but once you hit 0....game over.

  • @RockstarTheNuke

You can't say this card is good and this card is bad. There are no must-have cards.

BUT...I think you know this already cause every Magicnoob knows what's a basic land O_o

  • hey what phone is that..thats pretty cool how you keep score on your phone

  • I liked yu gi oh as a kid now im older and magic seems awesome should i buy a starter deck and if so which one should i buy i think the BLACK is awesome im more of a dark type of player so it would fit my style please respond back thank you :)

  • @narutoinpink I am not sure what starter decks are really out there right now so I can't really advise you with this. Find a local shop and see what they have, or check on some online stores.

  • @narutoinpink I would also try wal-mart or target. That is where I get my decks from lol. I am into mono black decks as well. Very powerful and also gain you life, they are very fun to play. Also try mono green decks, they have TONS creatures that are inexpensive to cast, really fun as well!

  • @narutoinpink if you like black try a infect or vampire deck they are pretty good but i run white and blue

  • @narutoinpink I got a white artifact deck and it can rape just about anyone who plays at my school. There's one person it can't beat, but that's because he's been playing for years and has a Jund deck. This WAS a starter deck, only made a couple of changes.

  • I have the same mat as the person playing the full white :D

  • so i dont play magic and i just watched this and um...slowest card game ever

  • @xXRisenSkaterXx It all depends on the decks being used, there are decks built around winning on turn 1 or 2.. it can be as fast or as slow as the other player wants it to be, generally games are pretty quick though, as they're built for the general purpose of killing the opponent first..... generally..

That being said the game itself does rely on some imagination, and knowing the story line behind the game always helps

The best thing about the game is the variety it provides

  • tcgplayer "dot" com, player J.A.B please leave a comment on my Clone Vat deck, i need some help building it

  • Hey guys, i just started collecting magic cards. Are these cards good?: Myr - Artifact Creature, Germ - Creature, Plains - Basic Land, Copper Carapace - Artifact - Equipment, Vedalken Infuser - Creature - Vedalken Wizard, Fuel for the Cause - Instant, Fangren Marauder - Creature - Beast, Mortarpod - Artifact - Equipment, Plains - Basic Land, Kemba's Legion - Creature - Cat Soldier, Priests of Norn - Creature - Cleric, Spin Enigine - Artifact Creature - Construct.

  • I play so damn slow compared to this..

  • There playing different?

  • Dude. 1) Read your opponent's cards, even if you think you know what they do. You missed searching for a land off a path that might have been relevant. 2) Yu-Gi-Oh! shuffling isn't real shuffling. It's not hard to learn how to side shuffle. I mean, seriously, just cut the deck in half and push one half into the other half. I would call a judge on you for insufficient shuffling so fast.

  • do i hear chuggaaconroy

  • how do you get those bitchin lands dude

  • haha the convo of "Steppe Lynx" in the background

    "step-ee lynx?" "step-ay lynx?"

  • so heres where i may or may not be an uber nerd but shouldnt the one dude searched for a basic land after the path to exile or is that a "may" option?

  • @redprince9 It is a "May" ability... however, he just misplayed.

  • How do people get the mat that the are playing on?

  • @WhiplashWiFi You can buy them online are at your local card shop. They are also given away sometimes at bigger tournaments.

  • @KlotzProductions Ahh okay thank you so much for telling me.

  • @WhiplashWiFi you can get them online, or at local MTG shop. As Klotz said, they're sometimes given for free in tournaments like GP

  • ITS LIKE EVERY MOVE IS AMAZING BUT IS COUNTERED WITH MORE AMAZING WTF

  • @WolvesKnights greatest oxymoron evar.

  • you forgot the part where he screams YU-GI-OH!

  • One of the reasons I stopped playing. Everyone at tournaments obsessively fidgets with their cards like their on crystal meth. I'm serious, it's the 100th monkey syndrome - everyone copies everyone else by being a jackass with ADD.

  • ur meta-game is jund city when i live in maine and my meta is legacy-exstended with a lil standard we almost never play standard besides fnm its all older sets up here

  • That guy constantly keeps counting or flipping through his cards. Hmmm...

  • I was taught by my friend who plays Magic. He had me go to one of the Magic Club meetings when we went to High School together and thats how I got into it.

I have heared that Magic is harder to learn than Legend of the 5 Rings.

  • Ima stick with Duel Monsters lol...

  • @Riku131 Nooooooo... you gotta play Magic!!!

  • @Riku131 magic or death!!!

  • 1:07 some kind of bring it on motion?

  • @abeastusername5 I don't see what you are talking about?

  • @abeastusername5 It was a "Your Turn" gesture...

  • kid forgot to get his land from the path.

  • I remember treating the game almost like chess, but a little more fun. Just sit back and watch what your opponent is brewing up while you're waiting for the trick up your sleeve to hit him with you're combos. waiting for that card.. . It was fun.. but yes, if i played against that kid, i'd get pretty annoyed.. i miss beating some of the higher priced decks with my commons. i've seen some good players make killer decks with just commons..

  • Great game, I haven't played it since I was asked to play pro, few months before that, it stopped being played where I live so I just declined and went back to studying.

Orange sleeve guy seems a bit...noobish & annoying.

  • nice^^

  • what the heck? why are they moving constantly.. like they are on something.. especially the chubby kid.. can't stop moving.. seems like they're all jittery as if they're on something.. i use to play and it was fun and relaxing..

  • @dubgli I think it started as something professional players did to distract their opponents as well as make it hard for their opponents to keep track of the cards in their hands.... for a lot of people I think it has just become a habit though.... I flick through the cards in my hands all the time when I play. It bothers some people but I don't even notice it when someone else does it.... plus I enjoy doing it because I like to be doing something with my hands.

  • @KlotzProductions I never thought of it as a strategy until I read what you wrote.. At a tournament some time ago, I played against a dude who flicked his cards, stacked them in piles, shuffled his hand and etc.. I just assumed it was autism..

  • @KlotzProductions I think it's just a habbit. I do it to, for some reason it helps me think lol. But its a terrible give away for some people. I regularly draft, and there are some opponents that do that, it's a dead giveaway to what they might have in their hands.

  • @dubgli it's called kinesthetic learning.. the movements actually help keep the mind active and on tiptoe to not miss any minute detail.a good mtg player incorporates every mental edge.. kinesthetic, verbal, and visual cues all can help. in this game which requires surprising amounts of concentration and practice.
