This video is quite old now. What can you say to the reliability? I've read a lot of negative information of Taurus models, like them just seizing up without reason. I'd like to not believe it.
bad ass gun...just got one myself a couple days ago and i luv it...but seriously why r u comparing the .44magnum round to a .22lr????any bullet looks huge next to a .22
nice gun you should have got the .454 casull though even the light load of .45 colt has barely any recoil but the .454 now that packs a punch almost twice the power of the little .44 mag
I REALLY want one of these but would put the old style wood grip like the pythons and put an umbrella logo on the grip haha so it could look like the magnum used in the resident evil games
how reliable is it to you after taking it through it's rounds? let me know i'm still on the fence between this and the smith and wesson 500 which is 800 bucks more
@dsportnissan well i have the smith and wesson 460 and a raging bull cannot be compared with a 500 period not even the 460. Now a raging bull in 454 casull would be great. My 44 mag has to go back to factory with a cyclinder issue
@GT03235 argh I guess it's the smith and wesson then, even though I like the styling of the raging bull alot better...on other forums it's back and forth as far as the reliability of the taurus in the long haul. it just be a home defense weapon and see range time
I love mine man! No recoil, highly accurate...mmmmmm
From 15 yards, I put 12 rounds in a 5 inch spread in a little under 20 seconds (speed loader). At 50, I hit a foot target 3/6 rounds, 2 times in a row. That's without the practice. This is a great gun.
BTW, I'm a proud owner of a stainless steel Taurus Raging Bull 444 6.5 incher, like yours.
@GT03235 what kind of warranty work does it need? i'm making payments on a 44 bull right now. i was planning on taking it hunting this season. i used to have the .454 casull version a while back and i never had any problems with it. just wondering what happened to yours. thanx :)

Ruger Red Hawk, Ruger Super Red Hawk, Ruger Super Blackhawk or Vaquero, Freedom Arms Model 83, Taurus Raging Bull and Dan Wesson Revolvers. ww. buffalobore. com
Just got my Raging Bull 44 today. One sweet gun, of course after cleaning the those factory oil gunk off. Feels great in my hand. At first I was a little worry it might be too big for my hands but it wasn't. The Desert Eagle 44 on the other hand is huge. I've put a couple rounds through this bad boy and the recoil was a whole lot less than the S&W 329PD. Overall a great buy.
@theSneakySasquatch The differance is this, the .44mag is a 44 caliber the 454 is a slightly larger caliber being a 45 the next major differance is the length of the cartridge the 454 is much larger with one hell of a bang
@K2PLuCkYsHoT i was not aware that they made a 500 raging bull? But for giggles lets say they do, it depends what you mean by better? At 14 unless you are big strapping kid i do not think you could handle a 500 but you would be fine with the 44mag
@evilPERSON2009 Having problems opening the cylinder, its like the cylinder has moved backwards towards the breach! No biggy tho taurus has a lifetime warranty plus this revolver has fired in excess of 4000 rounds lol pretty good going i say
LOL, I don't reload so I don't think I will ever fire 4000 rds through my gun for a long time. It's going to be mainly a sidearm for whenever to go hunting in near bears and mountain lions. Of course it is always best to avoid encountering them though.
I've not fired it you since it I don't have it in my hands right now. Waiting period sucks... but there is only a couple of days left.
I am pretty sure it is going be a much more pleasant experience than the S&W 329 PD 44 Magnum weighing ~26oz that I shot 50 rounds through. My hand for ached for a day after shooting those rounds through it. Shooting mild to somewhat hot rounds through that gun felt worst than shooting a S&W 500.
You gave me some great advice a while back...I just picked up my Taurus 444 (8" barrel) - I agree: a pleasure to use! I have some big paws, so the longer barrel is manageable. Thanks for the feedback and the great instructional messages in your videos!
I am subscribed. I'll definitely post some video in the coming days. What do you recommend to wring her out with for the first couple of rounds? Any special treatment you
shot my buddy's this past sunday. i must say i was quite impressed. my first shot missed the target completely, but my second shot was a bulls eye and the following 4 shots left a nice tight little group at 7 yards. if i can find one for the right price, ima gonna scoop it up.
Hello!, My friend, I would like some advice, here in Brazil, we are entitled to only 4-caliber weapons allowed (up to 38 special) so I have to choose the weapons and I'll buy.
It would be crazy to defend my home with a 460 magnum or 454 casull?
I ask this because here in Brazil has many villains, and they use assault rifles and bullet-proof vest.
Solid copper gives it lots of penetration AND lots of expansion. Its the future of defense rounds. Also copper does not leave lead dust in the air when you shoot it. Also it rarely ricochets or fragments.
The down side is it is expensive. The upside is you can get bullets and reload.
Try Barns Copper Bullets loaded by Corbon. You have to see it to believe it.
i reload myself and have used copper projectiles apart from a health point of view copper and lead are actually very close to the way in which they spread on impact.
its not so much worrying about range as the 44 mag has a very high velocity and great ballistics its more about accuracy, i can assure you it will go a good distance
I would think (and hope) you mean OverAll Length (OAL) length, no Raging Bull or any of the Taurus Raging series have had a barrel 12" long except the Raging 30 (chambered in .30 Carbine, kinda weak to call it Raging considering .357 Magnum has more energy when using a heavier bullet and has higher velocity if using the same weight bullet).
its not the raging series... i think its called the taurus 66 which comes anything up to .44...no i dont mean oal length for a handgun to be legal in the UK the barrel MUST be atleast 12 inches or you committe a class 3 indictable offence, which on conviction means 5 - 10 year sentance!!!!
According to what hardman476 says you would be in illegal possession of a revolver as the barrel is not 12" in length, I know of no revolvers with a 12" barrels commercially except for the S&W 460XVR and the Taurus Raging Thirty (discontinued however). If he would mean 12cm ( roughly 4.8 inches) that would be very understandable, there is almost no sporting intent for a revolver much shorter except for some in .44 or .454 meant for last defence against a charging brown bear.
Negative bud. (IF) you listen closely....you'll actually hear this fine gentleman say " Taurus raging bull 444" top it off?.....I own one too, Great Wheel gun.
Pretty much, if the one guy is right about a pistol needing a 12" inch barrel then you would require some form of special permit, exemption, et cetera. Not Raging Bull 444 has a 12" barrel though.
Hey brother, nice review. How would you say this bad mother is in comparison to a good ol smith and wesson in .44? I too have a .357 S&W, but I'm looking to get a .44 soon and that there ragging bull looks pretty nice.
Of all the 44 mag revolver I think the Raging Bulls have the best design. Ruger Redhawk and Smith 629s look ok but still not to my liking. The Super Redhawk, although super durable, looks too fugly.
@GT03235 And one year later, I take your advice....but I buy BOTH lol. I was that torn (and had a good pocket of cash at the time), so I got a S&W M29 and a Raging Bull 444.
Damn, I want this gun so bad. Was looking to buy one the last 2 months and it seemed like no one had it. I searched everywhere. Out of frustration I bought another gun, now I want this gun badly and it is in stock now. :(
I got mine for $599 brand new. I've seen them online as low as $475 (Also new). In CA with tax and fees it came out to about $670. Now to actually GET the damn thing delivered before I grow old and die...
Hey, just wanted to say that I love your vids, keep em coming!!
I ordered that same exact Raging Bull but it might take months for me to get it. I was curious, I've been shooting full load 125gr UMC .357 Mags out of out my snub SP101 3" barrel. I pretty much think that that is my recoil limit, but I've been told that a heavy Bull, ported barrel, rubber grip will actually make it BETTER to shoot than the little Sp101. What is your take on that when comparing the two?You seem to be pro on guns
you will find rge bull far easier and much more comfortable between the 2 you mention. FYI i shot an older smith 44 mag the other day no muzzle brake wooden grips it was horredous to shoot more recoil than my 460 lol
I'm frankly shocked at that, but I'll trust your word more than anyone seeing how many guns you have, The SP101 is pretty tough to shoot with full Magnum loads, so hopefully the RB will be better. Did you know that the RB's are in REALLY short supply now? try to find your gun in stock ANYWHERE. Your a lucky man!! Yeah I imagine wooden grips look nice but SUCK when it comes to comfort. So when are you posting more RB .44 movies? Maybe comparing the RB's size to common household items? :)
I shot a friends 4", 26 oz. smith 44 mag (super light titanium ones) and although the recoil was manageable after about 18 rounds my fingers started to hurt. Shooting that gun over time will most likely cause arthritis for sure. :)
i find this gun to be reliable, a hoot to shoot accurate and easy to keep maintained. Considering thats all i fire through this gun are hot reloads it does more than well. Thankyou for your comment i hope that the answer helped
some are still made in the taurus factory there and then exported the u/s supplier here in florida. Some models are also built here in florida under license
My favorite size is 454 Casull, I love the sound produced by this size. As you said the S & W460, I would like to know in your opinion I should buy the 454 Raging bull or the S & w460?
Have any problem in using the 454 constantly in the 460?
The taurus is fine i have fired well over a 1000 rnds through it one thing i will add is this. I got my wife an ultralight 38 special by taurus and the kick was tremendous almost uncomfortable. A 2" barrel 444 ultralight in my eyes would be a good carry gun but hell of a kick and suck with quick target reaquasition. Hope this has helped you in your decision. You need to fire one first.
they make the taurus 444 with a two inch ported barrel...its still a 6 shot 44 mag and its ultralite....i think im gunna pick one up next week at our local gun show....is the taurus revolver reliable enough to carry?? like if your house was gettin broken into...would u grab your taurus 44 or a glock 19 9mm?? im using the glock as an example because thats what i usually carry...
It depends a lot on your pocket. As the 454 casull ammo is more expensive than the .44mag. I would of got the 454 if i could choose again. The ported barrel calms the gun down dramatically so where a .44 mag should kick like a mule it's no more than a .357 mag.
I have many taurus brand guns and trust me they all get fired regular getting a lot of use. The only gun which has given me a little trouble is the little PT22 which is my wifes gun and even that is fine since 200 odd rounds have been through it. I wanted a larger revolver but did not want a 500 as i believe that a 460 makes more sense as being able to shoot 3 sizes of ammo. So i got myself a new S+W 460 magnum 5'' Barrel. vid to follow soon
This video is quite old now. What can you say to the reliability? I've read a lot of negative information of Taurus models, like them just seizing up without reason. I'd like to not believe it.

Hey brother, nice review. How would you say this bad mother is in comparison to a good ol smith and wesson in .44? I too have a .357 S&W, but I'm looking to get a .44 soon and that there ragging bull looks pretty nice.
Robertjcksn40 2 years ago
Of all the 44 mag revolver I think the Raging Bulls have the best design. Ruger Redhawk and Smith 629s look ok but still not to my liking. The Super Redhawk, although super durable, looks too fugly.

Its an awesome pistol get one
GT03235 2 years ago
@GT03235 And one year later, I take your advice....but I buy BOTH lol. I was that torn (and had a good pocket of cash at the time), so I got a S&W M29 and a Raging Bull 444.
Robertjcksn40 1 year ago
Damn, I want this gun so bad. Was looking to buy one the last 2 months and it seemed like no one had it. I searched everywhere. Out of frustration I bought another gun, now I want this gun badly and it is in stock now. :(

How much do these Raging Bull .44 Mags go for?
PieterBOERSEUN 2 years ago
just over $500
GT03235 2 years ago
I got mine for $599 brand new. I've seen them online as low as $475 (Also new). In CA with tax and fees it came out to about $670. Now to actually GET the damn thing delivered before I grow old and die...
evenflow80 2 years ago
They seem to have got rare! or just sold out one or the other. Good luck grab one when you can
GT03235 2 years ago
Hey, just wanted to say that I love your vids, keep em coming!!
I ordered that same exact Raging Bull but it might take months for me to get it. I was curious, I've been shooting full load 125gr UMC .357 Mags out of out my snub SP101 3" barrel. I pretty much think that that is my recoil limit, but I've been told that a heavy Bull, ported barrel, rubber grip will actually make it BETTER to shoot than the little Sp101. What is your take on that when comparing the two?You seem to be pro on guns
evenflow80 2 years ago
you will find rge bull far easier and much more comfortable between the 2 you mention. FYI i shot an older smith 44 mag the other day no muzzle brake wooden grips it was horredous to shoot more recoil than my 460 lol
GT03235 2 years ago
I'm frankly shocked at that, but I'll trust your word more than anyone seeing how many guns you have, The SP101 is pretty tough to shoot with full Magnum loads, so hopefully the RB will be better. Did you know that the RB's are in REALLY short supply now? try to find your gun in stock ANYWHERE. Your a lucky man!! Yeah I imagine wooden grips look nice but SUCK when it comes to comfort. So when are you posting more RB .44 movies? Maybe comparing the RB's size to common household items? :)
evenflow80 2 years ago
i get most of my pistols at least online from buds guns find them cheap and easy to deal with. my rifles tend to come from local stores
GT03235 2 years ago
I shot a friends 4", 26 oz. smith 44 mag (super light titanium ones) and although the recoil was manageable after about 18 rounds my fingers started to hurt. Shooting that gun over time will most likely cause arthritis for sure. :)
evilPERSON2009 2 years ago
wth dual release? i always wondered what that thing was on the side of it. why though? why is it there?
AdmiralGST 2 years ago
it's extra security for locking that cyclinder into place when firing hot loads
GT03235 2 years ago
"Do you think Dirty Harry would of preferred this?"
Ooohh yeeeah.
Do you think that gun would be great for competitive shooting?
ytacc0 2 years ago
i find this gun to be reliable, a hoot to shoot accurate and easy to keep maintained. Considering thats all i fire through this gun are hot reloads it does more than well. Thankyou for your comment i hope that the answer helped

My favorite size is 454 Casull, I love the sound produced by this size. As you said the S & W460, I would like to know in your opinion I should buy the 454 Raging bull or the S & w460?
Have any problem in using the 454 constantly in the 460?
neoconker 2 years ago
I think the 460 makes more sense as you can fire 3 differant sizes of ammo through it.
45 long colt
the 454 and the whopping 460 imho
GT03235 2 years ago

damn, that thing looks nice. which gun is better: this gun or the smith and wesson 500. i think the s&w 500 is better thats just my opinion.
Cod4MastaDrPoocube 2 years ago
well i have the 444 raging bull and i also have the smith 460! the 460 has better ballistics than the 500!

GT03235 2 years ago
they make the taurus 444 with a two inch ported barrel...its still a 6 shot 44 mag and its ultralite....i think im gunna pick one up next week at our local gun show....is the taurus revolver reliable enough to carry?? like if your house was gettin broken into...would u grab your taurus 44 or a glock 19 9mm?? im using the glock as an example because thats what i usually carry...

mdeezie1287 2 years ago
It depends a lot on your pocket. As the 454 casull ammo is more expensive than the .44mag. I would of got the 454 if i could choose again. The ported barrel calms the gun down dramatically so where a .44 mag should kick like a mule it's no more than a .357 mag.
GT03235 2 years ago
i plan on picking up a raging bull im not sure what to get the .44 or .454? what do you think.
marley8683 2 years ago
blair most of my guns come from budsguns on line cheapest i have found
GT03235 2 years ago
I have many taurus brand guns and trust me they all get fired regular getting a lot of use. The only gun which has given me a little trouble is the little PT22 which is my wifes gun and even that is fine since 200 odd rounds have been through it. I wanted a larger revolver but did not want a 500 as i believe that a 460 makes more sense as being able to shoot 3 sizes of ammo. So i got myself a new S+W 460 magnum 5'' Barrel. vid to follow soon
GT03235 2 years ago
50 seconds in .44 magnum
GT03235 2 years ago
Gee, I still don't know if it's a .44 or .454.
