  • Was the plane flying over the Queens?

  • Awesome! What year was that?

  • Awesome!

  • you got the worst seat

  • @adawilkes1 Jetblue FTW!!!

  • Cross Bay Blvd @ 2:06 - when they depart JFK they say "fly the bridge climb", that must be the bridge! I love NY (but hate the Yankees).

  • @antimatterXXXIII screw you haha

  • @AirForce576 Jeter sux :)

  • @antimatterXXXIII no way! I hate you bro...

  • @adawilkes1 Jet Blue was always nice for me!

  • i love approach and landing :)

  • RIP to those that died on AA flight 587 there on Rockaway Peninsula.

  • I did this flight in august, new york is soo good! :) xx

  • I'll fly Delta end of august from London to New York.

    Question.

Do they charge you for alcoholic drinks??

    If so how much?

  • Im flying to JFK from Lexington, Ky. Via Delta. I have two stops in Cinnciantti and DC

  • I;m guessing the speed for touch down is around 220km per hour. Yes its still fast considering they have been travelling at close 880 km per in flight at altitude.

  • aeroflot.

  • imagine the engine jus flew off from the plane when u videoing...

  • 2:59 isnt that joco marsh

  • Coming from west to east over Rockaway, that 1st bridge is the Gil Hodges Brg, The 2nd one is Cross Bay Brg. it turns north over Far Rockaway , then over the marshes on the east side of Jamaica Bay and into JFK.

  • Love Delta Air Lines! A great airline! Took this airline from Cincinnati to Paris!

  • @davidjain918 flew on them twice from newark to orlando but that was back in the days lol

  • If there was any risk to aircraft from electronic items we would be forced to put such items in checked baggage, the airlines wouldn't merely trust their passengers not to use electronics!

  • im making my first vid on the 14th of oct.

  • K ya seriously. I have flown a DA-40 with g1000 onboard and I had my cell phone with me. There was no interference with any avionics.

  • Electronics don't have an effect on flight instruments or anything else. The only reason they tell you not to use electronics is because they haven't tested it and it would cost too much money to test it, and making a statement without testing the effects would be risky if anyone found out.

  • thanks for the information

  • 4distancex... It does not matter whether or not you use a vid. camera, or ipod during the duration of flight, including the take off or landing. They disable you of your cellular device because it interferes with radio transmissions with the controllers. But THERE ARE NO AFFECTS OF ANY OF THE AVIONICS, FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS, OR IRREGULAR PROBLEMS THAT IPODS, VID. CAMERAS, ETC.. CAUSES. they just tell you that so you listen to their high and mighty safety skit that they perform before flight.

  • thats crap they tell you to turn off cellphones because it messes up with the carriers when you go out of cell range NOTHING to do with the avionics

  • thanks for the information

  • Welcome to the United States!

  • @BrkCityFG9 My 1st visit to the states was on August 23rd 1995. I was 15. It was a 11 hour flight and i was jetlagged lol

  • @BrkCityFG9 blah

  • Wow, what a view of the Rockaways. I see 'em coming in over Belle Harbor all the time!

  • Kool vid

  • lolz thats true, makes u look so faster ...

  • wow amazing. i guess it was very long flight... however it's still Amazing..

  • I have seen a lot of Delta Air Lines at JFK Airport parked at the terminal as in Atlanta.

  • I experienced the same thing from an Emirates B747.

  • Wait...Since when did Emirates fly 747s?

  • They Operate 747's for Cargo, Not Commercial Use.

  • I remember taking Delta! A nice airlines!

  • im flying it next week from toronto to jfk is it a good airline?

  • Hope u had a nice flight :)

  • Yeah mine took that route althogh i flew out of london so it was different but not much did flew in around Manhatten

  • looks like this is the same route that my plane was taking (obvious why they don't change) coming from Kiev. It went somewhere off into the Atlantic then took a long and slow turn left. Did yours too?

  • its funny how you never realize how fast your going until you touch the ground. ^_^

  • @pronetocrash2 or until your watching one land!

  • @pronetocrash2 you're doing around 160 mph or so when you touch down!

  • @pronetocrash2 i know!

  • u, my friend, have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA of how lucky u r, i WORSHIP the city that never sleeps and have never been there 'cause i'm a kid, and i don't wanna go with my parents:)

  • Great view of the surrounding area of New York as you come into land.

  • woohoo thats from my home airport (manchester)

  • That's unusual to be landing on 4L, they must have been shooting parallel approaches that day

  • wheres my comments?!

  • man.. that was a sweet landing. i just got to new york 2 weeks ago i was in airtran and the pilot sucked!! she couldnt land she landed on one wheel and the wing almost touched the ground. never taking cheap flights again!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i landed 2 from santo domingo 2 weeks ago

  • cool!

about how much are window seats?

i've never even been on a plane!

  • depends on what aircraft it is...the longer the plane, the more window seats.

  • a window seat is the same price for any other seat in the plane except in first class

  • It doesn't cost any more than a normal seat, just ask for a window seat when you book your ticket or when you check in - Enjoy!!

  • Looks like landing on 04L

  • I'd like to know the difference between a 767 and 777 in terms of flight comfort, noise level, and so forth.

  • The peninsula is breezy point then comes the marine pkwy bridge the oval patch on the south side of the bridge is riis park on the north side is floyd bennett airfield the houses and apartment buildings is the rockaway beach area. The second bridge thats closer is the cross bay blvd bridge going into broad channel then howard beach 1 mile from JFK then the A train tracks and right before the runway are the marshes and who knows how many mob hits were done there

  • Love New York!!

    !!! God Bless America !!!

  • anyone noe how to listen to jfk frequencey-wat tower says to the pilot b4 landing or takeoff?

  • Where is Lagaurdia? Im kinda geussing its in the Bahamas? And Janaya if I went home and your reading this tell me about in your email ok. Thanks Bitch!

  • No.

    in the US.

  • No.

    in the US.

  • laguardia is in New york aswell

  • All You People talking about La Guardia Being a INTL airport. It is.

Some of the INTL destinations are in Canada,Mexico & The Bahamas.

  • This is landing at JFK? When I went o holiday to New York (I'm British) I remember seeing the Manhattan skyline and the plane tilted

  • runways are at differnt angles

  • Hello, hello,

NY La Guardia is mainly for U.S.domestic flights. However, certain charter companies have been departing from LGA to International destinations. Mainly, these have been flights arranged by Perillo,Trafalgar, and other travel concerns. Thank you.

  • And that landing was $8500 out of the pockets of the passengers (JFK charges a landing fee based on an aircraft's Maximum Certified Take-Off weight). The airline gets billed, but takes it from the taxes of each ticket.

  • omg how u tellin us.. lga is not international.. jfk and newark are

  • Hey you can smell...I mean see far rockaway

  • cheap seats.. wow.

  • So what? we was flying from the UK! 1st class most have been alot

  • Didn't use reverse thrusters when I flew the same flight. Runway is very long...

  • It depends on where you land on the runway as well as the time. JFK has to book your landing in advance before you can approach due to severe congestion, and gives the crew a window to land and exit the runway safely. If the crew can't accept, they have to hold for the next window. If they accept, they have to determine which of the 2 allotted speeds they have available, to use. If they approach at Category C speeds, they don't need reverse thrust. If they approach at Category D, it's required.

  • what is all that about? You don't chose category speed, it's aircraft dependent....and comments about reverse incorrect. You could just as well need reverse as a Cat C and as far as Cat D...you are NOT required to use reverse. Depends on conditions/situations.

  • not very smooth!?!

  • No Thrust Reverses???? WTF

  • he reverses thrus listen at 3:25 it sounds like it gets deeper i had to turn my volume up a little.

  • That's great, you could see Breezy Point,Belle Harbor,Rockaway Park and Broad Channel. Amazing.

  • this looks more like laguardia airport..

  • it's JFK...laguardia is not international anyways

  • dude yea it is... My uncle went to Africa thru laguardia

  • yr uncle lied to you

  • Dude lmao why are you guys so against laguardia being an INTL? wait... is it possible that you board laguardia and go to another intl airport form laguardia as a connecting fligh? Cuz maybe thats what happend.

  • I have only been on a plane 4 times.......but when I was in a British Airway 747 the landing was so smooth there was no signs of the plane ever touching the runway.....only we brits can have pilots with that kind of skill!

  • wrong Air Jamaica has great jamaican pilots. I was on the A340 and it landed in Montego Bay. I had to ask my mother if the plane touched down yet.

  • i cant wait until delta goes to heathrow and northwest and continnental

  • Any 1 noes anything about the water with soil?

  • its a little scary landing in JFK the first time I was there...it looks like ur gonna land in the water, then u see the runway for the first time just as you touch the ground lol

  • I flew with Delta from MAN to JFK and he didn't use reverse thrusters either!

  • i didnt see the reverse thrusters

  • Great! :)

  • 764 i believe with DAL is used more on the Hawaii runs and a very few select bunch of the Euro runs, but then Delta is getting the 777-200LR soon (yay) and may be getting the 787 (yay) so sadly the 757's fatter twin (767) may finally be leaving us :-( but hopefully they'll still be able to maintain the 767

  • sorry is 763. my mistake

  • isn't MAN-JFK usually on the 764?

  • so if the flights from MAN then the plane was either a Boeing 767-300 or 767-400 - am i correct. Delta airlines too!

  • That was 4L you landed on. At 3:42 you can see the "B" site transmitter building in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

  • the flight is frm from Manchester, UK.

  • wheres the flight from

  • does it matter?

  • yes

  • Great view of the surrounding area of New York as you come into land.
