Actually, out of all the big cats Lions are the most sociably adaptable to humans. Tigers are the least, which is why Tigers should NEVER be in a house. But, with that said, Lions belong in the wild :) There's a reason wild animals are wild and domestic animals are domestic :)

I have been working with Lions in Tanzania for several years now, I grew up in the bush and know several foreigners who can't tell a domesticated animal from a wild one. In this case, EVERY story ends bad, either for the caretakers who are stupid and careless, but always for the lion. The animals are WILD, 1000's of years of instincts, and survival genes, can never be reversed. It's psychological torture.

@SuperLeanders You obviously have never heard of the 100's of railway workers in Kenya who were dragged from their tents at night and eaten alive, it was later shown that many of those lions were raised in a sanctuary (loving home) till they were older & bigger. Chemical imbalances are thrown into question, it becomes a simple case of fight or flight. Another example is the German Shepherd. There are numerous cases where the dog has turned on it's owner resulting in death and serious injury.

An animal will behave the way it grew up. Lion cubs in the wild aren't all playing, they hunt as well as it is seen by them in their surroundings. When an animal grow up, it doesn't get vicious for no reason.

These are wild animals, yes. Of course she won't be able to keep them as adults, thats true...but the chance of her being mauled by these lions is close to zero if she hand raises them from this age. They consider her part of their pride, part of their family. Big cats make excellent outside pets if raised with a dog. The dogs Bark can basically control any animal on the planet. If raised with an Adult lion, the dog will never be challenged by the lion ever because of the bark.

My main Point being If animal is raised with a dog the dog will domesticate that animal for rest of its life and it will never attack or play rough.
