  • OMG I LOVE HIM WHERES THE REST OF THIS

  • "dad i got it wrong again" hahah great scene check my channel its on there :) how to do buisness RIP Great man!

  • One of the (mostly all gone now) geniuses of TV comedy. No comparison to thye rubbish they put on TV these days.

  • Great stuff, but cut too soon - more please on Honky Tonks heartface!

  • he turned in Larry grayson

  • Just loved his show

  • Aww, I was enjoying that. Why did it stop halfway through? Great comedian. There ought to be repeats of his show on TV... todays kids are missing out.

  • I used to watch him & Stanley vacated, it is great to watch them again, genius, pure genius both of them!

  • I used to love Dick Emery & Stanley Baxter when I was a child. Both lovely people too, but I guess their style would seem very dated now.

  • I get so angry when Sacha Baron Cohen makes A film milking one character at a time taking the piss out of blacks/gays/east europeans & gets labeled a genius.Dick did series upon series of characterS & gets labeled racist .Reason? f-ing jealousy!!

  • he was just so funny

  • Saw him in Egham in an open-topped sports car. He was wearing a red kerchief, pale pink shirt, and he was smiling in the sun.

  • A wonderful talent!

  • Another of the true quality British comedy performers. We were spoilt by them in the 1970's. How much they are all missed.

  • Very good indeed

  • isn't he lovely

  • i would LOVE to see the rest of that interview...he's fantastic

  • As funny today - not dated one bit!

  • When I was a kid I saw him at an Airfix do. He used to advertise for them. he was great with the kids. Doing Lampwick and College impressions.

  • I worked with Dick Emery a number of times when I was a musician at Butlins in the early1980s. He was obnoxious! Far and away the most unpleasant "celebrity" I ever encountered.

  • I had heard that he was 'difficult' to work with. Mind you, a lot of entertainers are I suppose. It's possibly what them on to entertain the masses at the expense of one-to-one courtesy.

  • @nathanielbagshot Were you also bridesmaid at Molly Sugdens wedding?

  • @nathanielbagshot sorry to hear that. maybe mazzab 1970 has a point

  • i was very lucky to see the late great dick emery in 1971 on stage he came out as lampwick and a union jack bag my favourite got to be mandy and i was only 11 years old .Happy Days !!

  • rip mate you were great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please show rest

  • what a shame he didnt do more films, the guy was fantastic!!! stands the test of time...

  • What a brilliant comedian...loved his shows and still do. Miss you mate.....

  • A true comic genuis

  • Please upload the rest of the interview if you have it. Cheers

  • I watched him the night before he passed away, from the wings of Goldiggers Nightclub in Chippenham. I was only a kid. My father was the support act for the night. I remember Emery being a very charming man.

  • Absolutely funny funny guy... next to Benny Hill the best of the seventies

  • Yes, sadly missed, but nowadays - for good or ill, but better, we still love him. thus is life.

  • Sadley Missed.

  • Please can we have the rest - just as he was talking about Clarence!!

  • can you put the rest up please, this is just great to watch,so funny!

  • HAHA, just brilliant, nice memories, i love dick emery, and have never seen him being interviewed, what a nice guy, so funny, thank you

  • Why tease us with this snippet, I desperately want to hear the rest!

  • My Mum(Gawd Bless her!)used to make our house come to a standstill on a Saturday in the 70's 'cos she couldn't miss an episode of this man's show. And i must admit i laughed as much as the rest of them did! AND i couldn't agree more..Get the film "Ooh, you are awful!" on DVD , it is excellent! Mum took me to the flicks to see it in 1973/4 and it was the first time i had seen naked womens bums! A much missed comedian , who was also a Goon for one show only when Harry Secombe couldn't make it!

  • Never ever saw the great Dick Emery interviewed. Love to see more of this.

  • Tony Benn.. still the same.

  • classi!shame the interview was cut short

  • He WASN'T awful - AND we liked him.. a lot!!

  • Amazon has a few including the film "Ooh you are awful" which I think was hilarious.

  • I've searched for a Dick Emery VHS or DVD Series or best of etc and there is nothing! Why doesn't the BBC sell it? He was hilarious.

  • What a class entertainer. Just goes to show the shite that passes for comedy today.

  • I agree totally. He was pure class and sorely missed.

And wat have we got today ?? The bloody chuckle brothers...... Dohhhh

  • another great british entertainer from yesteryear. still missed by the public and unfairly overlooked. is the whole interview available? thanks for posting.
