  • if you just open the channel of chance111697, you can read that this guy has many bad comment on different account here in Youtube.

Hybrid Yaw-Yan is different from Traditional Yaw-Yan, it has it's own training program. It is a Filipino Style of Mixed Martial Arts, It's Strikes came from Yaw-Yan, Wrestling from Buno and Grappling from Dumog.

You can visit our Gym @ Hybrid Yaw-Yan Mixed Martial Arts Training Center in Cubao 5th floor Karen Bldg. 9 Annapolis St., Cubao, Quezon City.

  • Why dint you go to Ardigma? Why Hybrid?

  • @lixiaoming89 I don't even know how to answer this question. I filmed with Hybred because that is where I was. If you want me to go somewhere else and film with someone else, I am happy to do so, but you have to sponsor me, becase I am in Taiwan now.

  • mma?

  • @0xTidusx0

yeah, it's Filipino Style of Mixed Martial Arts called Hybrid Yaw-Yan

  • Downward cutting kicks, Panatuken/Arnis style punching. Man so much to love. I'm not really a big fan of Muay Thai, this would be a perfect fit for me. Wonder how it would work in with my Savate, JKD, WC, Kali, Kyokushin, training.

  • What an exciting style

  • muay thai doesn't have ground moves or submissions!

  • @tuberman890 either yaw yan!!!! yaw yan is all about striking!!!

  • @chance111697 do not make sense, reread your comment and if it is all about striking it will be like muay thai n calm down next time

  • san nsa cubao!!

  • @mowizbeverly16 HYBRID YAW-YAN MIXED MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING CENTER: 5th floor Karen Bldg. 9 Annapolis St., Cubao

    1102 Quezon City,

  • Nothing but just like the regular Muay Thai...

  • @RC01 Actually this is nothing like muay thai. muay thai doesnt have ground fighting or submissions. Have you never done or seen martial arts before?

  • @brooklynmonk1 Well, once you're down, of course, what you can all rely on is your common sense.

  • @brooklynmonk1 ang totoong yawyan striker!!! ganyan!!!!! kaya galit halos lahat ng master dyan kay kasi sinisira nila ang pangalan ng yaw yan!!!!

  • DAMN THIS HYBRID YAWYAN!!! they are not real yawyan! the owner is just using the name of yawyan to promote his gym! but look at all its fighters and students nobody knows how to kick and move like yawyan. its not true that they just upgrade yawyan to mma. damn no! purely business! please spread the word and to those who wanted to learn yawyan never go to this gym or you'll just get the biggest frustration of your life. if you want to prove what i'm saying just watch their videos.

  • @LethweiMMA actually traditional yaw yan is not all that all to begin with it, it comes from 1970s, Sir fernandez,. and it is only stand up kick boxing. hybred yaw yan is kickboxng with grappling. if you watch the video, they are quite clearly grappling. so, yes, it is exactly what sir henry says. also there are tons of videos of sir jerry winning fights all over youtube.

  • @brooklynmonk1 i've seen videos of jerry legaspi.. he doesnt move like a yawyan fighter look at his punches, his kicks totally pathetic. neither he has the heart of a yawyan. watch his fight against eduard folayang he's like a chicken being chased by a lion. too bad he brings the name of yawyan what a big disgrace...

  • @LethweiMMA Of course he has won most of his fights and in various disciplines, yaw yan, muay thai, BJJ, MMA

  • @LethweiMMA shut the fuck up! you r so judgemental!

  • @LethweiMMA ur right!!! they are low yan!!!!!

  • yo sensie by the end of this would i be a black belt

  • idk if anyone agrees with me but i really wanna see traditional marital styles and conditioning methods in ufc and such loyotos karate seems to be doing quite well so im t=really dissapointed modern ppl dont take the time and open up their expereiences

  • were can i learn muay boran and or krabi krabong in NYC?

  • @josuelitos WTF in NYC? yellowbook it.

  • Maybe you can make a jkd video as well! Im currently not training in martial arts; however, I will come back to training after college. I really want to learn muay boran or bokator from my masters, but they only know the sport version of muay thai.

  • I am happy to make a JKD video if someone has a master who could invite me to train and film with him. and you are right, most masters dont know a lot of boran. they know modern muay thai with a little extra boran mixed in.

  • @brooklynmonk1 Have you ever done a segment on Lethwei(ringsport of Myanmar)

  • @brooklynmonk1 I was watchin the Yaw yan episode of your show. From what I have read Judo uses Tachi waza(standing phase) and Ne waza(ground phase) in fact I have heard of a school called Kosen Judo which focuses on ground fighting. I have never trained in Judo but I love to read about martial arts.

P.S Reading some of the history of Judo I have found they used to incoporate Atemi waza(striking skills) for setting up throws, but now for competion they practice mostly throws.

  • i also havent studied judo, but i want to. but from what i have read, there was a time when judo was the deadliest martial art on the planet. it incorporated a lot of things that were later taken out to make the sport art.

  • My master is skilled in 15 different martial arts! My master told me the only equivalent school nearby that also teaches all phases of fighting is Harris international.

  • You should train in combat sambo in new york. I think combat sambo is the king of ring sports. I am not a skilled martial artist, but i think that combat sambo is even more effective than san shou.

  • you can't even compare sambo and sandshou. sanshou is only kickboxing. combat sambo is submission wrestling with striking. why would you even compare those? i dont live in new york anymore. i live in bangkok.

  • @brooklynmonk1 haha dance of death ~ that foreign guy almost sweat blood,

  • I'm curious. Yaw Yan seems nice when smaller guys utlize the kicks. What about taller guys against taller/bigger guys? Anyone see a dramatic difference regarding this?

  • this looks really bad ass.. their ring fighting technics seem very evolved.. or at least for the ring..

do you know the names of any important fighters of this art that i could google up and watch their fights?

  • Yeah, Jerry the destroyer legaspi, he is the younger guy who beats me up in this series. he is a well-known fighter in the philippines and he has a lot of fights on youtube.

  • @JuanTown here are some of the ring names of our fighters in youtube, first type hybridyawyan...then type and any of this ring names...THE BEAST, DESTROYER, VIRUS, NEMESIS, STINGRAY, BOMBER, ROTHWEILER, HELLBOY, JACKHAMMER, ANGHANG, EGYPTIAN MUMMY, IRONMAN, SLAYER, APPRENTICE, EL MATADOR, MARKANG BUNGO, WOODEN BAT,

  • @hybridyawyanmma

    thanks man!

  • some call it street fighting style

    I call it...HOME

sa YawYan na kasi ako lumaki ^_^

    /Respect

  • I'm in Yaw Yan Pasay. Where is this Yaw Yan temple located.

  • this gym is in cubao

  • i hate mixed martial arts.maybe its hardcore and everything is allowed and the training is also hard but its not a precious martial art.yaw yan kickboxing have a noble and special wonderfull style but mma is only shit.only nice to see

  • I hope that UFC will try one Filipino trained in the Philippines to fight against American or Brazilian or Japanese fighters

  • Oh yea...

  • nice armbar

    mmaphilippines net

  • cool, do you have a gym in guam? can i come film there? are you guys also fighting in the philippines? let me know if i can come train with you guys in guam.

    antonio graceffo, the brooklyn monk

  • i emailed you but i guess you were too busy to answer. i was wondeirng where your gym is and can i come and film and train there? also, sir henry's gym has won nearly every competition in philippines, so not really sure if you could say they suck.

  • lolz...it's all Filipino..jiujitsu is only added...yawyan is filipino style kickboxing..haha..

    proud to be yawyan!!!!

  • dude this look more serious then bokator

  • hotpopcorncake its because all the videos you seen on Bokator and all the things you heard about Bokator isn't even 5% of it there is way more to Bokator than just watching the videos and stuff

  • yes pretty much i am predicting ,so you done bokator? ,cause this uses the elbows and forearms , i know bokator got more stuff that i haven't seen , but so far what i seen its al the basic stuff

  • pretty much but im still learning the basics there is other styles i haven't even heard of but i know that guy that post up the Khmer techniques knows more than i do

  • what guy?,that guy with staff you talking about ?or javaraman he so far know the hanuman stlye and open door system thats what he told me ?he trying to break it down

  • yeah javaraman... thats all he knows? wow it sounded like he knew more

  • but he don't know the full system yet ,the rest its in Cambodia to learn which its frustrating i wanna see how is it like or absorb it like sponge as much as possible

  • actually lots of it has been lost i hear the grand master Kim altered the art do to his level in Hapkido

  • yes i heard that Controversy and there another style in Phnom Penh ,which the other style i seen its and looks like primitive ,i think the bokator they added more grappling i guess and weird weapons

  • yeah i don't think those mini sticks are effective unless they were a little longer and thicker....well if you watched the Bokator academy video it says some of the moves are for show

  • yea i guessing what were they thinking about those small stick ,its look like clearly invented those small stick for modern times to carry small stick in your pocket, cause there is no way warriors back then carry those small sticks around so i 'm so confuzeld about this

  • yup they mostly used there body...Human weapons as i prefered

  • me too ,thats all i know but i wish i know the swords

  • well to tell u the truth i rather learn the Chinese techniques in sword fighting and use a japanese sword like jet li did in the movie war

  • i know the Chinese solider sword for some reason i want to learn how they fight in thai or Cambodia

  • Just a little advice guys. Don't stick in one style only.

  • actually i train in a lot of styles, i have been in asia for over seven years and have been doing the show for two years and have filmed in ten countries and countless martial arts, that is sort of the point of the show, and i have earned black belts in several.

  • Been loving your videos, amazing, keep up the good work.

  • the camera is either to far or the room causing echo
