  • Notice something ? .. I see people of all colors , all races , all nations ..

  • Now,this is a smart man.Protestants'Heritage IS the Catholic Church! Let's pray they come back Home.

  • The Angel Prayed the first Hail (Mary) Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee, during the Annuciation. Elizabeth added "Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. The prayer and then the church added, Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us, now and that hour of our death. Amen. This was in Luke. Sadly, you were a weak Catholic and gave up your One True Faith for a heretical religion.

  • I don't know who this guy is but I like him.

  • Im a Baptist but dont have a problem with Catholics. There are many historical catholic theologians i admire such as Thomas Aquinas, William of Ockham, etc. I just dont agree with the doctrine of the Primacy of Peter, and the idea that Tradition and Scripture are equal. But that does not mean i dont think Catholics are not Christian. They are

  • @jamaicanification Something was happening to spread God's word before the Bible was written and compiled. Exactly how do you think people learned about God, Worshiped God and Found God before the printing press was invented? Catholics taught about him through Tradition. We Worship Christ. The Bible is true and Holy...but Tradition, The Church and Jesus spread His word before the words were printed.

  • @shellymabe I know. I never said Catholics aren't christian, or that the Catholic Church did not preach Christianity. Im just saying i disagree with the emphasis Roman Catholicism places in Tradition. Tradition is important but Tradition is judged by scripture

  • Comment removed

  • @jamaicanification Tradition came before Scripture, therefore scripture does not judge Tradition. The Church and the Traditions handed down actually defined scripture...ie: THAT is where scripture was compiled, dictated, transcribed and taught. Your logic is completely backward.

  • @shellymabe Well look, we'll agree to disagree. I dont feel as comfortable debating Catholics because i think they get enough flack as it is, and misrepresentation, and i dont want to unintentionally add to that. Plus there is already deep enough divisions between Protestants and Catholics and in Christianity in general, so i dont see why i should add to that..........

  • if you refresh the page character count goes to 200

  • Great video. I really enjoyed this.

  • Laudetor Jesus Christus !!!

Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat !!!

ONLY in his holy Catholic Church, founded by HIM !!!

  • @badpanda yes he did change the bible.

Although Protestants like to think positively about Martin Luther because of his supposed belief in sola Scriptura (the Bible alone), the truth is that Martin Luther changed parts of the Bible and discounted the value of many books.

Notice a change he admitted to regarding Romans 3:28:

  • @bad panda go to revelation you will comeacrsoss answer for your question.

  • Hi cheru baby. Thank you for your information. I am a growing catholic if you

Have more Information please send to ny email add. Thank you god bless you

Our lady's blessing is with you my email address rsk922@hotmail.com

  • Every one is coming back home cause they know ". East or West Home is best" This guy ..ha.....ha.....ha

  • There are 22 churches/Rites that make up the Catholic Church. Roman Catholic is only one of the 22.

  • It is not true that all priests are required to be celebate. Only Roman Catholic priests must remain celebate. The other 21 "Eastern" Catholic Churches can have married clergy. As a matter of fact as a Byzantine Catholic in Minneapolis my priest is married. We call her Presbytera (Greek for priest's wife) or you can call her Matushka which is Rusian for mother. Presbytera is Greek for priest's wife. And no I am not Orthodox! I am Catholic and there are 22

  • @MsKecee : I belong to the Romanian Greek-Catholic church and you're right

  • He is a joker

He is a hate preacher , he rejoices gossiping

Completely against the teaching of Christ.

The silly and funny is he is preaching just

In front of the crucified image.

  • @aruvi231 No, he's just a man who decided to go home to the One True Church.

  • @aruvi231 I've seen a lot of Jesus pictures in churchs growing up Potestant! I saw a lot of missouri Protestant church groups go see the Pope in STL in 99! I told my friend's mom (non-denom) I thought it was wrong. She said "Come on dude, It's the Pope!

  • Great video!

  • @badpanda84 Georges Lemaitre was the physicist who formulated the Big Bang Theory, which was postulated in the 1920s. So I'm not too sure what you mean by "recently."

Furthermore, the Protestant Reformation occurred in the early 1500s. But Rene Descartes lived in the 1600s, Gregor Mendel lived in the 1800s, Galileo lived in the mid-1500s to the mid-1600s, Louis Pasteur lived in the 1800s, and Pascal lived in the 1600s. All but two lived long after the time when "everyone was Catholic." --->

  • @badpanda84 (continued) So in closing: I think that you need a bit of a history lesson. Your definition of "recently" seems to be a bit off.

Oh, and do substantiate your claim that 95% of scientists are atheist/non-religious. It's a figure I haven't heard before, and furthermore, I don't see how it's pertinent to this discussion. As for the line about burning heretics, that's typical Protestant rhetoric. If you're trying to say that only the Catholic Church did that, think again.

  • this man doesn't know what he is talking about

  • @seda12able Dude, I came to most of these very same conclusions before I ever saw anything like this. This man is spot on.

  • I was raised baptist. I am now a member of the catholic church. This guy is great. God bless these videos.

  • @ozarkjuggalo What brought you to the Catholic church? Glad you found the true church of Christ!

  • @catchzz Lots of reading and prayer. Just wanted to go as old school as I could. Never had doubts about Christ just all the division. My kids started attending catholic school. I feel in love with mass and the sacrements. No Coptic, orthadox, or ethiopion churchs where I live, so as they say "All roads lead to Rome". Struggling to learn the new mass routine, I was just baptized last year so easier for me than most.

  • I'm a proud Episcopalian and I became one because I was tired of hearing, from the pulpit on Sundays, 30 minute sermons of how evil "Mary Worshipers" were and how the catholics were going to Hell....I found my way to an Episcopal Church to escape the hate and have a healthy respect and admiration for my brother catholics.

Roman Catholics, Orthodox Catholics, Old World Catholics, and Anglicans are all attempts by man to continue the church started by Christ, and I respect the faith of all.

  • @SthrnMusicFan Amen

  • As an Anglo-Catholic (Anglican) Christian, I embrace many aspects of Roman Catholicism and various aspects of Protestantism. Neither Catholicism nor Protestantism are entirely wrong. It's a comfort zone for me to be "in between." With due respect to Roman Catholicism, I have some differences with them such as celibacy of priests, their opposition to birth control, and the authority question in relation to the papacy. I do not declare any of those positions wrong nor evil...

  • ALL FORMS OF CHRISTIANITY ARE OFFSHOOTS OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.

To believe the church is corrupt would be going against the Bible-Matthew 16:18-as she can visibly traces her roots back to Christ and there were no other Christian Churches for 1 1/2 milleniums and there would be 1551 condemned followers-does that make sense?

The RC church was on it's 5th Pope when the last Apostle John died.

  • LET ME LAY THE HISTORICAL FACTS IN FRONT OF EVERYONE-PLEASE RESEARCH MY FINDINGS ON YOUR OWN-TO CONFIRM TRUTHS-The Roman Catholic Church-fact- founded by CHRIST IN 33 AD-ONLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN EXISTANCE FOR 1551 YEARS-UNTIL 1st Protestors/Protestants-Martin Luther /John Calvin. RC CHUURCH COMPILED BIBLE 397 AD & Martin Luther removed 7 Catholic Doctrinal books 1100 years later-[do the math] from our Catholic Bible. Then PROTESTANTS STATE CATHOLIC AREN'T FOLLOWING THE BIBLE.

  • @winter1936 Respectfully, you should check your 'historical facts' more carefully. You left out the Assyrian Church, the Oriental Orthodox, the Eastern Orthodox, the Moravians, the Waldensians and who knows how many non-extant churches other than the Catholic Church, prior to the 16th century Reformations. Luther used the Hebrew Bible for his list of the OT canon, Jerome used the Septuagint; both inherited Jewish traditions, neither jettisoned books from the other.

  • @winter1936 You should read a book on Church history. The Orthodox Church of Antioch, Jerusalem and Greece is older than the Church of Rome.

    Fr. John W. Morris

  • @eljoker75 I have to agree with you. We do not worship Mary we simply ask The Blessed Virgin Mary to pray for us sinners. It is like me asking a friend to pray for all people . Peace be with you stay true to the faith ! Do not doubt the faith. Remember the Church is the Bride of Christ.

  • Catholics rule! I know that some idiotic and thoughtless catholics were unfair and didnt allow freedom of religion, but this is a new generation, and nothing like that happens anymore. I reallu dont have time to waste my breath and tell you how awesome out church is, but lets say that you will no the truth when you die

  • I love your talk Mr. Crumbie. I'm addicted now

  • Totally agree with you Imax, I was gonna hear him out till he started talking about holy places as if it was the institution that made the place holy when in reality what made the place with the burning bush holy wasn't the place but the very presence of God.

  • This is pathetic at many, many, levels.

  • They have a crucifix? Why I thought protestants use a plain solo cross because its NOT IDOLATRY. Having statue and images in the Catholic church is like having a picture of your love ones who passed away and you have the picture to remember them. Is that IDOLATRY? Of course not. Protestants will burn in hell, I mean all of them because they protest against Yahshuah's teaching. Convert to the Catholic Church or the Orthodox church or else!

  • @ShadowNihon Calm down there. That very same attitude, coming from behind Protestant pulpits is why I have a priest and not a preacher now.

  • Protestants teaching about Catholicism - something they know NOTHING about? Gee why don't I just ask SATAN for the Truth! DUH ...

  • @Cherubaby If the devil said the sky was blue, would that make it untrue? I am a new catholic and WE need that. It really helps alot. It's a big deal to come into the church for a convert. My family sincerly believe I am going to hell, I worship Mary, and so on. Don't hate, lets re-unite the entire body. I had not converted yet when I saw footage of the last pope at that leaper colony I KNEW he was more than just some guy with fancy rings.

  • @ozarkjuggalo Stay STRONG in the Catholic Faith! Jesus said your enemies will come from your own family " ... but he who loves mother, father, more than Me, is NOT worthy of Me." Matthew 10:37. Satan always tries to destroy what is Holy and Good. The fact that you are being attacked PROVES you are on the right path, for Satan never attacks what already belongs to him. If you need someone to talk to, you can always contact me. GOD Bless you.

  • @Cherubaby Thank you, I will.

  • "f-f-f-f-Father". Whats with that? I was willing to have an open mind and listen to his speech till he starting trying to be funny and making light of RC terms and words.

Growing up Catholic I heard many a comment from the parents of my friends all the time on how Catholics aren't Christians, we don't use the Bible, etc.

  • @szqsk8 As a protestant we are raised to believe these things will condemn us to hell! Its a convert thing, you would'nt understand. Just like I will never know what its like to grow up Catholic. My children will.

  • Just reviewed a little and it looks great so far! I also just subscribed. If this is, as it seems, the site of someone who converted to Catholicism and is now teaching it to others, God Bless You! I'm a convert from pentecostalism (Assembly of God) 6 years ago (the week before JP-II went upstairs) and now teach RCIA. This looks as though it will help in my preparation and in class, too. I'll comment again as I go through the 3 lessons. Looking forward to it! Ken.

  • this speech and gathering is so empty.

  • I love the Catholic Church and im studing to become a catholic church

  • @umaara100 That is wonderful. I am a convert myself from baptist the rcia classes are in my opinion the best tools on catholocism keep it up, and i hope you stay with it God Bless You.

  • @nickcooley976 RCIA, I was even baptized by a famous singer's brother. I did'nt even know until weeks before I was baptized. His brother sold millions of records! He brought me into the church! I think his brothers work pales in comparison!

  • @ozarkjuggalo Thats awsome brother his brother is a priest im glad you got into the church man congrats rcia is a great tool

  • Great post...Thank you, Im a universal Christian, and its nice to see the truth brother in Christ.

  • @321boileranimal wow and your a catholic that shows how catholics are

  • @HeidyfromNorway Wow your an asshole. and your run your mouth like an asshole and expect people not to be an asshole back to you. I guess that shows how assholes really are.

  • @321boileranimal wow and your catholic, thats the type of language they teach you in the catholic church well why am i shock your catholic, what you go to church once in a blue moon lol

well GodBless you and i hope you get out of the satanic catholic church

  • You may only know of the Roman Catholic Church. There are 28 separate & independent Churches that make up the Catholic Church. I am Byzantine Catholic. The original Holy Seas are Constantinople, Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria and lastly Rome. Only Roman Catholic priest are required to be celebrate the rest of us Catholics allow our Priest to be married and have children. I am Byzantine Catholic.

  • @MsKecee Orthodox Indian Priest can't marry unless they are married before they go into the Priest hood. Orthadox Bishops can't marry either. its kind of mixed in that branch.

  • @321boileranimal All Catholic priests that, in their rite or under dispensation are allowed to be marriage, were married before they were ordained deacons. I believe this is true for Orthodox priests as well since we all come form the same apostolic tradition. Just to be clear, not all Catholic rites require celibacy in their priesthood. However, in all Catholic traditions, it is a privilege and an honor to offer up one's celibacy to God in service.

  • Thank you, Michael; magnificent and enlightening even to a Catholic.

  • What I like about this video is that it doesn't say anything new, or insulting it says everything we already know in a way that helps us appreciate it more. The truth is, that Jesus didn't leave us a bible or an instruction manual. He left us His church, to celebrate the mass, founded upon the apostles no matter how good or bad they could have been. And after 2000 years we need to look back at the ordinary things and rediscover the fullness of our faith.

  • i knew it! all these blind protestants.. all along it came from the catholic church.

  • @HeidyfromNorway did you not just watch the video? lol

  • the 1st Passover depicts the Chosen people's struggle from bondage to freedom (Moses, Jewish slavery by Egyptians--The Old Testament). The 2nd Passover depicts the bondage of death to the freedom of eternal life (The Christ, Last Supper, The Passion -- New Testament). The heart of the Catholic mass is this (Eucharist-communion). It is not the saying of prayers to saints, the rosary, etc...

  • @QuoEstVeritasEh that so many think what's going on in a Catholic mass, though readings from scriptures from the Old & New Testaments are read. The Eucharist (Last Supper) is done simply to remind us why Jesus needed to sacrifice Himself for us to free us from sin & death & correct what Adam & Eve screwed up for humanity. I've been to Christian services before & they do not have this. Granted, they do say scriptures about Jesus' life on earth and how He sets an example for all of us to live by->

  • @QuoEstVeritasEh and I think thats a good thing. The Passion of the Christ (betrayal, sentencing, flogging, crucifixion) reminds us that with Jesus' willingness to take on the punishments for our sins (via the Passion) that through His wounds we are healed....and born again. I guess you can say this is why the rosary is done as a mere reminder that His sacrifice & His Passion was not done in vain & that we will always remember, honor and thank The Christ for doing what He did for us

  • Protestantism came from Catholicism. Martin Luther and his reformation created Protestanism. God bless this man! We should all live in peace!

  • Very good video!

  • Unfortunately, Sola Scriptura or Bible alone is nowhere to be found in the Bible! If this were to be true, according to Sola Scriptura, then this statement would have to appear somewhere in the Bible in one form or another implicit or explicit. In fact it is anti-Biblical!

  • @Allycat5555 Right on

  • @Allycat5555 it's not? how about praying to people that have died? name one person that prayed to someone that died? how about mary being queen of heaven? how about naming one baby that was baptised? how about priest calling Jesus down from his throne in heaven and changing into a wafer made in a factory? tell me where all those things are in the Bible? please! The biggest lie is that your church gave the world the Bible...God did, remember that.

  • @shanana000 sorry but you havnt done any homework at all

  • @Allycat5555 your funny.....What God says is the final authority...nothing equal or higher to what God says. If someone says they are, then run from them as fast as you can. Cause they are lying to you.

  • @Allycat5555 "Unfortunately, Sola Scriptura or Bible alone is nowhere to be found in the Bible! "

That is not the point of Sola Scriptura -- the whole point of Sola Scriptura is to prevent idiots from making up stuff and then claiming "tradition"

Otherwise anyone can make shit up ( like prugoury or the selling of indulgence) and just claim its holy tradition

  • @badpanda84 --Purgatory is described in the 2nd book of Maccabees, which btw, is scripture and 100% inspired.

  • @ZebraSpider454 LOL you mean that book that is ONLY in the catholic version of the bible -- and which they claim is 100% inspired (because the catholic church said so)

  • @badpanda84 --The Catholic Church was the one that chose which books of the Bible were insp. and which were not. No other church was involved.

  • @ZebraSpider454 Yes which is one of the reason why I dont trust the bible -- the catholic church had a very big incentive to manipulate the bible for poltical reasons ( and to gain power) and many of the kings/warlords in the dark ages used relgion as a tool to control people

  • @badpanda84 --You are a Christian, correct? How do we know any accurate info about Jesus if you dont trust the bible?

  • @ZebraSpider454 Acutally not really chirstains although I have gone to church in the past..

  • @ZebraSpider454 Even if what is in the bible about Jesus is inaccurte -- his teaching are still sound ( ie all the stuff about not being a hypocrite , forgivness , the sermon on the mount etc)

Also chirstainity would have been much better if we only followed the gosepels -- but we don't -- we tend to follow the writting of paul more

  • May God Bless you! mic, i saw all of your videos, they have a great power for many Christians. i proud to being catholic!

  • BROTHER MIKE..ALL YOUR VIDEO WERE GREAT...EXPLAINED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE TRUE CHRISTIAN FAITH WHICH FIRST FOUNDED BY CHRIST THROUGH ROMAN CATHOLIC ...MAY THE POWER OF GOD JESUS BE WITH YOU ALL THE TIME ALSO WITH THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY AND TO ALL THE CATHOLIC FAITH UNIVERSALLY , TO ENLIGHTENED THE TRUE FAITH OF SALVATION....

  • @loudmouthspeaker You reject Christ's Church for your MAN-MADE church. Read the Bible some more, and read Christian history. Also, read revelations: notice the style of worship in heaven, the formality, the solemnity, and compare it with the Catholic mass. Notice the crowned woman. Guess who that is. The Bible came through us. Protestantism introduces you to Christ, yeah; but if you want the REAL deal, come to CHRIST'S church. Stop Protesting. That was warned against.

  • @a2j93 The Bible comes through Catholicism. Know your history.

  • @a2j93 Sorry read what you said so fast thought you said the opposite of what you did say. I agree with you

  • @a2j93 All church is created by man. It's funny all you Catholic haters don't name your denomination. If you did we could probably name a creator. John Smyth created the Baptist denomination. John Smyth also happened to be a man. King James created the Church of England. Who just so happened to be a man. The Presbyterian Church was created by John Calvin, also a man.

  • The protestants people are those people who protested Jesus Christ, who did not believe that he was truely the son of man. that's why Jesus was crucified and put to death because of these protesters, even he showed all the sign of proofs that he was god, still they denie him. So, protestants at the time of Jesus here on earth are the same as protestants at this generation who continously denie him and his church no matter how much proofs you show to them the truth they won't believe them.

  • @lovencare62 you are.. umm... Completely wrong? Protestants protested the teachings and doctrines of the Catholic church, which seems a LOT like the religion that put OUR Savior to death. The Pharisees. All Law and Tradition, a robotic system of rules, no love, no relationship, no Christ.. I mean come one honestly why are you Catholic? Haven't actually done your research? Or cuz everyone else is? Or cuz your parents are? xD Jesus loves you<3

  • @a2j93 and what exactly suggests your church isn't man-made? Catholisicm, as ive stated a thousand times, is all Law and Tradition, a robotic system of rules, no love, no relationship, no Christ.. The Bible did NOT come through you. It came from Prophets, disciples, Jesus and God Himself. How DARE YOU TAKE SUCH A PRIDE TO YOURSELF? Do you learn nothing in your confession booths and masses? And as for Mary, do you know nothing of idolatry? You know what was warned against? Blind, false guides.

  • @sauka0099 I can assure you, my friend, that Catholicism is more than Law and Tradition. I entered the Catholic Church because I found love there, and I would leave it if it no longer had love. I certainly love Christ. I want nothing more than relationship with Christ, and for Him to live His love in me for others. And we have the Bible. I go to Mass 6 days a week where I am if I dont have to work (So on average 4 times a week) and in the weekday Mass I hear three reading from the Word of God.

  • @nick19912010 Brother, going to church makes you as much a Christian as standing in a garage makes you a car.

  • @a1b2c3d4e562 Right... so what makes YOU, little Puerto Rican, a Christian? just "believing"? Then.. Satan is Christian, too.

  • @sauka0099 "You are Peter and on this rock I will build MY CHURCH." His Church has had an unbroken line of succesors from that moment till now. I don't think it gets any clearer.

  • Scripture? Came from God. THE BIBLE? Ministers? Guides and workers of that church. People who help others, not command them or recieve the authority that only GOD holds to forgive sins. Marriage? Was commanded by THE Savior, Jesus Christ. BAPTISM? SERIOUSLY? HAVE YOU READ THE GOSPELS? Jesus. The Protestant churches come from Christ. The Catholic Church? Man-made traditions, laws, rituals, etc. I rep Christ, I dont cuss, I'm 14, I listen to Christian rap, and I'm plain Christian. Love you Jesus<3

  • @sauka0099 I'd like to ask you a question concerning Sacred Scripture and it's origin. There was a process involving men, whom God chose to choose -- through the inspiration of The Holy Spirit -- as to which books and letters would be included in The Holy Bible: Do you know the name of the Church that those men said that they belonged to? It would be the same Church God chose to work through, right? Thanks for your answers in advance. Peace.

  • @a2j93 "but if you want the REAL deal, come to CHRIST'S church. Stop Protesting. That was warned against. "

In a way the Martin Luther did the catholic church a favour by exposing the corruption--

I dont think Martin Luther wanted to leave the catholic church but rather reform it ( and make it less corrupt)

However since he was ex-communicated he had no choice.

  • @badpanda84 Luther took issue with more than just corruption in the Church. He rejected numerous dogmas of the Church, completely overturned the method of reading Scripture (i.e. he introduced the idea of personal interpretation, which has since brought about the tens of thousands of Protestant denominations that we see now, directly contrary to Christ's wish that we all be one as He is one with the Father), rejected the Real Presence, the papacy, and much more. A heretic, not a reformer.

  • @badpanda84 So tell me: what was the message that Christ preached? Was it to think for ourselves and by ourselves, to pervert doctrine and law to fit our own human wishes? Or was it to follow the law established by God and His Son so that we might obtain eternal life? Christ came to fulfill the law, to perfect it. We are meant to FOLLOW God's law, to OBEY it. We don't make up our own rules, as Luther did; we follow the rules that Christ established and preserved in the Church He founded.

  • @carnivorousslushee23

"So tell me: what was the message that Christ preached? Was it to think for ourselves and by ourselves, to pervert doctrine and law to fit our own human wishes"

You do realise that thinking for ourselves instead of blinding following what the pope said is the reason we are not in the dark ages

  • @badpanda84

You do realzie that the concept of using reason to solve problems and to progress technologically and intellectually is a product of that evil Pope and his Catholic Church?

    Ever heard of scholasticism?

  • @Reazzurro90 He ought to look at the list of Roman Catholic cleric-scientists - it is quite impressive, and includes many of the greatest scientific thinkers in history. Examples would be Bacon, Copernicus, Galileo, Pascal, Descartes, Mendel, and Lemaitre, to list but a few.

  • @carnivorousslushee23

Indeed. Those are simply some of the most known.

Not even scratching the surface :)

  • @badpanda84 I'm sorry, friend, but again you display your ignorance of history. The Dark Ages were the period during and after the fall of the Roman Empire, when 'barbarians' sacked Rome and then took control of various parts of the empire. During this time, few written records were left, leaving the period 'dark' to historians. This is why it is called by that name. --->

  • @badpanda84 (continued) Furthermore, it was a period where reason and science (in the latter's still-nascent stage) were highly prized and exercised. Truthfully, the Catholic Church is why we have Western Civilization as we know it today - it preserved the writings and culture of the classical era, and much more. Read How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization for more information regarding this.

  • @carnivorousslushee23

Reading that book right now. I just got past the part about the origins of the concept of intertia, and how theology influenced that conception. Brilliant.

  • @badpanda84 "of course even the catholic church dosent belive that." I sincerely hope you're joking; it's a basic precept of the Church. I direct you to the CCC, specifically paragraphs 74-79, as well as 2032. In the meantime, stop making baseless assertions about something you are clearly ignorant of.

You could only expect adherents of a religion to not be corrupt if human nature did not exist. Humanity, however, is prone to sin. Remember Paul's "earthen vessels" (cf. 2 Cor 4:7).

  • @badpanda84 Also: you seem to think that the past and present hypocrisies of some of the clergy automatically disproves the Church and Her teachings. Why do you think this? It makes no logical sense; in fact, it DISREGARDS the rules of logic. Whether or not hypocrisy exists in an institution or person has NO BEARING on whether or not what they are saying is true. Think about it.

  • @carnivorousslushee23 "Also: you seem to think that the past and present hypocrisies of some of the clergy automatically disproves the Church and Her teachings. Why do you think this"

What it dose prove though is that the church disregards or ignored hat the bible says.

  • @badpanda84 Wrong: the Church teaches nothing that is contrary to the Word of God. You confuse the Church with its clergy, which is a common but foolish mistakes. The Church's doctrine is sound; those who make up the Church, however, are flawed, as all humans are. It's a fundamental fact of existence in this fallen world: humans are not perfect.

  • @carnivorousslushee23

"Whether or not hypocrisy exists in an institution or person has NO BEARING on whether or not what they are saying is true"

OF course it dose -- its reduces there credability.

Since there is no way to prove objectively what Jesus said is true - --

What we can say though is that if someone has a history of lying then its unlikely he will tell the truth.

  • @carnivorousslushee23 "A heretic, not a reformer."

OF course that is what the catholic church will say -- duh.. they are the "modern day phraises"

The is exactly what happend to Jesus -- the phraisies of the time didnt like the fact that Jesus accused them ( correctly) of being hypocrites..

And what happend to Jesus -- they nailed him to the cross.

Likewise the corrupt priest dont like being exposed -- so of course they will label Luther a "heretic"

  • @badpanda84 You really just ignored the whole point: yes, we KNOW there are corrupt men in the Church. We admit it wholeheartedly and with much shame. However, it does not follow that because there are corrupt men in the institution, the institution is wrong. St. Paul tells us that "we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." We are imperfect, but God's Word and power remain pure as ever.

    continued -->

  • @badpanda84 And Luther was labelled a heretic because he WAS a heretic. He outright denied the everlasting truths declared by Christ's Church and made up his own theology. He put his own personal, misguided whims and wants before the commands and laws of God, and for that, he was a heretic. Simple. Sure, some of the clergy probably didn't like that he pointed out some of their gaping flaws; it doesn't change the fact that he was a heretic. The issue of corruption is incidental to it.

  • @carnivorousslushee23

"And Luther was labelled a heretic because he WAS a heretic. "

    According to who exactly??

The catholic chruch labeled anyone a heretic who disagreed with them..

  • @badpanda84 Luther WAS a HERETIC. Have you read his Bible? He changed hundreds of words to suit himself. Does anyone have the right to change the Word of GOD?

  • @Cherubaby "Luther WAS a HERETIC."

yes according to the catholic church -- but the called anyone who disagrred with them a hertic.

    Galleito was a hertic too.

The term heretic is meaningless -- because a hertic is anyone who dosent agree with ( whatever relgion you follow)

  • @badpanda84 A Heretic is someone who not just "disagrees" with the Faith but one who DAMAGES the Faith. For example, denying the Deity of Jesus Christ is Heresy because it destroys the basis of Christianity and has a flow-on effect onto other Doctrines, such as the Holy Trinity. Denying that Jesus is GOD also denies the Trinity of GOD. Thus Jehovah's Witnesses who preach this are HERETICS. Capish?

  • @Cherubaby "For example, denying the Deity of Jesus Christ is Heresy because it destroys the basis of Christianity"

WTF not it dosent -- denying the Deity of Jesus Chirst is merely a statement that you dont belive in Jesus --

If simply saying I dont belive in Jesus can destory "the faith of others" then your faith must be pretty weak

  • @Cherubaby

"For example, denying the Deity of Jesus Christ is Heresy because it destroys the basis of Christianity "

How is that heresy-- its is simply stating an opinion ( which is I dont belive in Jesus).

The problem is that faith is simply belief without evidence -- therefore anyone who quesitons or disagrees will damage the faith

  • @badpanda84 No. If you don't believe in Jesus you shouldn't be a Christian in the first place! That's like saying I'm a Muslim but I don't believe in their prophet Mohammed. Ridiculous! You need to GET OUT of Christianity. Don't come into Christianity with your perverted ideas bad-mouthing our Faith. Faith IS believing in something WITHOUT Evidence. If you had "evidence" it would no longer be Faith, it would be Empirical Data, and ANYONE can believe that.

  • @Cherubaby "Ridiculous! You need to GET OUT of Christianity. Don't come into Christianity with your perverted ideas bad-mouthing our Faith"

LOL that is the first time I have heard anyone say that --- its usually "Please accept Jesus etc)

  • @Cherubaby "Faith IS believing in something WITHOUT Evidence."

yes which is irrational and stupid

  • @badpanda84 Don't children have Faith in their parents? Sure they do. Remember when you were a child and relied on your parents for EVERYTHIING? That was Faith. Likewise, GOD wants us to rely on Him also because He is the Perfect Father.

  • @badpanda84 All belief requires faith.

  • @Cherubaby "No. If you don't believe in Jesus you shouldn't be a Christian in the first place!"

ITs not that I dont belive in Jesus -- I dont belive in the catholics version of Jesus..

The Jesus as depicted in the bible would be disgusted by the catholic church..

  • Comment removed

  • @Cherubaby Ephesians 5 25-27 dose not speically apply to the catholic church..

And besides history has shown otherwise. Assuming that it was talking about the catohlic church -- maybe at that time that was written the church was holy and blameless...

But that didnt last very long

  • @badpanda84 If the Church is corrupted then Jesus is a LIAR because He promised the Gates of Hell would not prevail against her (see Matthew 16:18-19). So I guess nothing in the Bible is true then, so we can throw our Bible into the garbage ...

  • @Cherubaby Yeah bit when Jesus said the church -- he was not specially refering to the catholic church ( which didnt even exist when Jesus was alive)

  • @badpanda84 Well DUH! ... the Church didn't come into existence until Pentecost - so of course Jesus wasn't ALIVE then!

  • @Cherubaby Be careful with your choice of words because Jesus was in existance already before Pentacost.

  • @valstar1000 I wasn't talking about Jesus. I was talking about the CHURCH. The Church was born at Pentecost.
