The reason why microsoft won't make an xbox portable is because they couldn't make it without copying the psp. The psp is just too awesome. And Sony thought of everything before microsoft. Same with the ps3. PS3 FTW!!!

I really like what you did here.

I would make a few changes, as to where to place the fans (on the sides, 80mm) And i would have used Sanwa parts. But like i said, really awesome mod!

@Zhantop You can`t make a 2 player mame style control panel smaller than that, or you will be bumping elbows with your friends when you play.

That`s about as portable as you can get with arcade controls.

i disagree. i take it you have never tried to move a full size arcade. with this unit you get a full size arcade experience plus mobility. and i built the unit like a tank, so if i sold it to a pub they could beat the crap out of it and it could take it.

i designed it in a 3D program to get my measurements correct. its built from items i got at the hardware store and online. particle board, black laminate, wood glue, x-arcade xbox to arcade adapter kit, used xbox, (2) 80mm cooling fans, custom made aluminum mounting plate, hockey pucks ...
