Amazing. Eventhough the key is lowered by half a tone he was still reaching those pretty high notes such as the last note of the second verse. Amazing.
Dan's voice has seemed to have gotten better with time. Unlike Brian Johnson. I like Brian, but his voice is getting worse and worse. Compare the Back in Black album to a modern album. He's losing his top end. I respect him for at least still giving it a shot though. Saw Nazareth in 1997 in Canton, Ohio. Awesome!!
@ekrwy2 i think Brian was at his peak in his band Geordie and during Back in Black, he then got progresivly worse with all the wear on his voice but i think during the Black Ice tour he sounded a lot better than during stiff upper lip
For the ones that doesnt know well nazareth...take a look at the show "Live in Texas 82"you'll see vocals like you never saw beieve me...Dan is still great anyway but in the early 80's and 70s is really scary...the power of his voice
Dan is waaay better than the singer that is in Manny's Narareth if we can call his band like this.Dan is 65 ... the singer of Manny's version of Nazareth is a young guy...but took a beaten by Dan look at their version of changing times...the singer is praying for the song ends as soon as possibly .The guy Just cant handle it.LOLL
@donlogan11 Plus 1 to you! That Irish guitar kicks my ASS! Every Time! This is the first time I have seen them live and they're OLD.And.Still.Kicking.My.Ass. Awesome!!!
one question? when he goes to play the bagpipes the bass player is singing something and saluting? what is he singing what song or phrase? thanks!!! need the info! btw this is one of the best songs ever produced!
great stuff, just one thing missing an extra guitarist to finish off the second part of changin times to the full, why not get the great manny charlton back and let the good times roll.
Jesus, these guys have been playing for more than 40 years!!They must have played about 3.000 gigs!!Imagine singing Love Hurts practically in every show, every tour??Damn
This is who AC/DC should have went with, he and Bon Scott have that God given voice that comes efforless to them. Brian Johnson is good but he has to work so hard to get that voice to come out of him and Dan is like Bon, just so amazingly easy to open his mouth and it just spills out over his lips, thats why he can easly sing ballads as well and he still sounds so soulful and un-strained. I love there style
It's well known that Guns-N-Roses patterned their sound after Nazareth...They could have NOT picked a better mentor. As bad-ass as this sounds (after almost 40 fucking years), listen to the studio versions of these songs, plus "Whiskey Drinkin' Woman"...Insta-party...Insta-pussy!

Nazerath, one underated band. Isn`t it ironic that if you are bit more than a casual music listener you find that the best bands are a bit under the radar. You have to dig to find gold. Fuck the top 40! Check out Jorn Lande for todays underatted music. Radio sucks!
Thank you NAZARETH for all your support unreal what you did for that Family way to go 100% you ROCK Thank you Lee Loved the Pizza box u know what I mean Sean Brown @ProtruckR
My friend watched this and had never heard Dan's voice and was like "Wow that guy's voice isn't the greatest!" and I said "Well you better go listen to their albums because that's Dan's charm!! Nobody can match his voice!!" She shut up...
I love Changin' Times. One of the best snazsongs ever! I am desperately looking for the album version with the long instrumental part that really makes you roll on the highway! Thanks for posting.
Two of the best guitar riffs in hard rock, at least in my book... amen!!
