  • In reality this would cost a lot of time and money. Not to mention planning. Rooms/electric sockets don't just happen to be one wall away.

  • Why they don't use wireless cameras?

  • What an untidy install ! My OCD was twitching bad !

  • Thats the difference between a certified Security Installer and a home owner. A security installer would conceal the wires in the wall and not drill through the hardwood floor. Not too mention you would get a warranty and guaranteed that it was done correctly. If lives will depend on a product then it is best to have it professionally installed.

  • Or just move to Canada. Just be sure to lock every door during the Stanley Cup Finals if you live in Vancouver or Montreal

  • SHITTTTT BUY ONLY PELCO

  • This video was fine until the end where you attempted to be sensational. Don't try that again old man, unless you work a little on your acting.

  • you would want to keepthe wires up high so somone wouldnt be able to cut them.

  • Hey its Tony Montana!!!

  • bought my cam at harbor freight for 39.00 -hooked it up to a 5.00 13'' color tv from the thrift-had all kinds a fun till the outdoor wire connection coupler got weathered, well worth it

  • cut the cable. no cctv. lol

  • @hyylo You'd still record whoever is disabling the camera. And oh would they be in trouble.

  • @hyylo on my dvr, it activates a siren when the cable is cut

  • It is so funny to me Americans can just drill holes everywhere in their house. A hole through the floor? No problem it's just wood anyway!

Maybe that's a problem you need to fix first. Use bricks instead of wood.

  • I'd like to know around how much does it cost??

  • Ok, for all who don't know, you can just set a PASSWORD for the internet viewing of the cameras. There, now he can sleep in peace and not worry about some creeper staring at him while he is in the pool not working, Just put the cables somewhere else, buddy.

  • Personally i'd prefer the cable to go directly into the wall, not run down the wall first. where they can cut em so easily. That's just me =]

  • @SatoTM3 yeah, thats the propper way to do it

  • Lousy wiring job

  • Damn I wish I could get in bed with him.

  • Think about this, if he can view his cameras over the internet so can anybody!

  • What a fool, his own camera bit him in the ass. Security cameras are from SATAN! If you are foolish enough to trade privacy for security you will lose both and deserve niether.

  • @zacthebold Nice plagiarism.

  • @rocaho001 I don't think it's required to provide citations in youtube comments.

  • @zacthebold well it sounds like something I read in a history book. Cameras are from Satan? So if I catch someone keying my car or burglarizing my home that's the work of Satan? LOL the original quote is about trading off liberty with security, then not deserving both. We're in the 21st century now. Recording your own property is actually a pretty good idea. Plus that quote didn't even have anything to do with low scale security, it was more of an "as a nation" type thing. Larger scale. Yep yep.

  • @rocaho001 Yeah it's a Benjamin Franklin quote. The satan bit was a joke OF COURSE. I object to this more because of the internet connection which ties it into the larger scale. If it is on the internet it is not secure or you are trusting a third party. Did you know that google has a huge database that records our searches and browsing history? On a different note when you were young did you have abusive parents? Know anyone who did? Imagine the power this could give psychopath parents.

  • @zacthebold Aaaaaa I see where you're coming from. In that case, you are right. This could result in hell with psychotic parents. But also I was looking at setting up a security system with pi cameras working solely on wifi. The issue is you have to go to a this site aaaand use their software to view your cams from the web. I don't trust user agreements. There is no guarantee that someone isn't watching. Patriot act and such. Plus you know that by law a cop could put a gps tracker on your car?

  • @rocaho001 It doesn't surprise me... If you want a home security system that doesn't compromise your privacy get one that is WIRED and not connected to the internet. Wireless cams can be watched by anyone with the right equipment. Realize that you are playing with fire and respect your children's privacy.

  • @zacthebold oh man I'm in my early 20s. No kids. For a while I'll keep it that way

  • Oh No! HIS CELL!!

  • I am getting ready to install a 9 channel DVR that came with 6 cameras. I purchased another 2 dome type cameras as well. I have been really researching and studying installation. I will use pvc conduits in certain areas to protect the cable from vandals. I will hang them as high as possible 9' or better and tuck the wiring underneath the bracket. I will not be able to go through the basement since my house is on a concrete slab. I will have to go through the attic to introduce my cables.

  • But he ran the cables down the outside of his walls!

I thought this was a "Home SECURITY" video! lol!

  • OK I will just cut the wire>
