  • This interview was conducted in a strange manner...

  • thanks for the post top woman top actrice .....

  • absolutely love herr :)

  • @salvatorearcilesi she is still beautiful I think

  • whoa,,,Angela was in the Manchurian Candidate movie? Watched it long ago, will watch it again when it returns this time especially to see Angela..the story, the acting, and everything else will be different watching it when one is older

  • @CulturePeaceForever - Manchunian Candidate? I didnt know she was from Manchester?!

  • I just saw a really old picture of her. She looked exactly like a blond Christina Ricci!

  • She looks very much like my aunt...

  • i love her

  • Her accent used to be much stronger. I think her break in American television and living in America has made her sound less British. Interesting.

  • Angela's mother was Irish and Angela had a home here for many years, and maybe still has. She also filmed Murder, She Wrote here several times.

  • I've just viewed all 7 of these - so appreciative to hear her, get her take on the industry and on her own career. DELIGHTFUL. Thank you so, so much. For the last ten years I've tried off and on to get a particular script of mine to her, but to no avail. Can't reach her. Now that I'm getting an agent, I'll try again. Listening to her here is inspiring. THANKS.

  • WHAT AN EXTRA ORDINARY LADY !

''I DRANK TEA, A HELL OF ALOT !"

    OH, SHE'S ENGLISH!

    LOL

    BLESS YOU FOR POSTING !

  • scarlet pimpernel came oout in 1934 and the 2nd movie came out in 1937

  • for me only piper laurie compares to her (the hustler) manchurian candidate: those two performances are the high water marks of american cinema> You can put those two roles up against anybody anywhere anyhow any month any year.

  • i love murder she wrote, still watching it every now and then (on BBC1).

@MarcheseCadmio88 hmmm i actually hear a tiny little american accent in her...according to wiki she moved to the state during her early life..may be that's why

  • Perhaps I'm wrong, but I noticed in her voice a UK accent rather than American...

  • @MarcheseCadmio88 She's from London. In Murder, She Wrote I think her character Jessica Fletcher is american. But she was born in England, Angela Lansbury.

  • What a lovely lady. She's a great actress - best known for the wonderful murder, she wrote.

  • She has such a wonderful and beautiful smile. And her voice is so pretty. My favourite actress.

  • Ah, that classic Angela Lansbury laugh at 18:57. So endearing, this lady!!

  • oh, can i just have Angela Lansbury read me a bedtime story , please!!!!!!

  • Her voice is BRILLIANT! She`s amazing and a wonderful person! I love her so much! Thank you for everything Angela.

  • i know . no words.

  • il mio telefilm preferito adesso mi sto comprando i dvd ... sei gande angela !!!!!!!

  • hi Jessica.

i'm so glad to see u.

    i love Murder ,she wrote.

  • Murder, she wrote is the best tv show ever!

  • lost her accent!!!.....Absolutely not!....

  • N° 1!!!

  • I'm distantly related to Angela believe it or not.

  • Yes, and I live near Victoria Station where Miss Lansbury passed by at 25:45 in August 1940.

    .

    Cheers

    from,

    del-boy.

  • @austin19911

What is she like in real life?

  • She's wonderful.

  • go Angela go!! I love Murder,she wrote :)))

  • she lost the british accent completely

a little bit of a pity

  • I love this woman!!!

I can say that I am grown with her XD

  • These archive interviews are invaluable. What a great gift to have them here in their uncut, detailed glory. It makes me long for the days when interviewers like Cavett and Snyder gave great time to their guests.

  • Angela is so inspirational. i have loved her since i was seven years old and i am fifteen now. She is a lovely lady xxxxxx

  • I know what you mean. I became a huge fan of hers when I was just 4 years old. I watched "Murder, She Wrote" everytime it played (Matlock as well). She is the reason I want to be a writer. (Because of her character on Murder, She Wrote). She is the reason I love mysteries. I'm 22 now.

  • me too! I've loved her since I was like 4 and now I'm 16 and it's so sad that no one around our age has no clue on who she is! I always have to be like "Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast" and they don't even realize that she is a legend!

  • CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • luv murder she wrote, they make 262 episodes

  • What an absolutely delightful woman! I have always loved Angela as an actress but she comes across as simply elegant, and lovely!

  • ME TOO!!!!

  • Women love her.

  • So do a lot of men. Angela Lansbury is pretty awesome. I've been a fan since I started watching Murder She Wrote.

  • I'm one of those men.

  • She is the best!!I look up to her!In Stephen Sondheim's musical Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, she was magnificant!

  • I find her amazing...and she does it all sing, act, etc....and here's a little secert, when i was a kid i would watch Murder She Wrote and I actully had a little crush on her...I can't believe I just told that...lol

  • She is such a Lady! Such a legend...and my hero!

  • She is so classy and wonderful!

  • Could someone do french subtitles please?

  • i love her in murder, she wrote

  • i dun get what the last bit is

    before she says "right"

  • habbogigi -

"I must pause here for a change of tapes."

    I think.

  • I LOVE THIS LADY

  • Does anyone know in what part of this interview she talks about Sweeny Todd The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street?

  • She´s fab and I could listen to her talk for hours.
