In my home i listen music with some cheap big headphones, but the bass and sound quality is very good. The sound is clean and bass is so sweet, can't put this into words. For me it just sounds very good. But in car i don't have such good bass /sound quality. Is it possible to get better quality by installing subwoofer? I never listen music at 100% volume, i just need a better sound quality. Any general tips what should i try?
My car is coupe btw. 2 spk in dashboard, 2 in doors and 2 in back
We do no aftermarket installation, only repair of factory installed car stereo systems. I'd suggest visiting several of your local installation shops to pick their brain. You will quickly find out who knows their stuff and who is just looking to make a sale...
i already had 4 speakers hooked up in my blazer two 6x9's and 2 4x6's and my front doors still had room for some 6.5 inch speakers and i go to put them in and no sound i do not understand everything else works fine
If speakers were working, then installing the new speakers there is no sound. Check to be sure the speakers are hooked up and that the connections are not shorted by touching any metal in the door.
the metal on the cage of the speakers is pretty tough, you should put a buffer still though, a piece of cloth or styrofoam should work. Avoid letting it touch the cone or the magnet though.
i got no bass in my 97 toyota camry stock speakers i did before i switched the cdplayer again i had 1 cd player we switched it for an ipod cd player and after tht we didnt get bass on it we did with the regular cd player y u think?
thanks so much your info really helped......i had just bought some really expensive speakers and had hooked up them up wrong ....your video really helped
@GuitarKid905 No actually you don't...if you have the stock speakers that came with the car then they are already powered and you only need an amp for the sub haha dont listen to that dumb fuck. I know this is ten months late, but I hope you didn't buy an expensive deck with multiple pre-outs for amps you dont need
shouldnt need to test polarity in most cases, The wire solder points or the coil wire ends them selves should be color coded, If they are not in alot of cases the positive magnet wire soldern joint to the connector would have been marked with a red dye pen to indicate the wire polarity for manufacturer testing.

carlos530123 1 year ago
@carlos530123 Aftermarket installation... You can do what ever you want, however you will need a cross-over too.

Yes,

@GuitarKid905 If you have a nice after-market stereo then it might come with a high-pass filter so your door speakers dont play bass.

This is true. However, there have been times when I have seen it wrong. Testing the polarity is a good way to be sure.
