  • That (can't call it "music") noise is just a distraction that has nothing to do with firefighting. Sounds ;like the crackhead crap we here in the NYC ghettos all the time. The like should be "Your brain is broken"

  • Nice knock-down.

  • Great video & def skip out on the music next time!!

  • What the hell is with this crap music it doesn't all to the videos at all!!

  • What omg they did a 360 no way haha... Just messin... nice attack Houston Fire some of the best in Texas. Made that look a little too easy haha... Be safe Brother's.

  • Would be much better video by skipping the music & letting us hear the fire fighters communicate w each other.

  • Why do the coolest firefighting videos have the shittiest music?

    Stay Safe

  • Its finally nice to see a fire attack done right, and in our department we have both FF/EMT and FF/CEP

  • Nice quick knock on that fire guys!! Made it look easy! Keep up the good work and stay safe!!

  • why firefighters on the roof?

  • I agree that this is one of the best examples of solid Engine Company Ops. I have shown this to our guys on a number of occasions. No hectic, scattered running around, just calm, cohesive and well though out attack. Big changes in smoke conditions on side A after the Truck opened up. Solid. All in under 5 minutes. Nice Engine. Is that a Ferrara? Great stuff brothers.

  • This is absolutely the BEST fire attack video I think I've ever seen.

  • that house was about 50% involved by fire when they arrived on scene. in less than a minute they had the fire knocked down just super heated gases still in the atmosphere. prompt vertical ventilation finished off the rest of the problem. Damn good job very impressive. and to the guy talking about water damage most of that water was turning into steam i bet they used under 1000 gallons.

  • I use this video for training on how to do it right.

  • what was the cause of this fire?

  • the house is on fire! do you really think water damage is a concern right now?

  • The venturi nozzles sucks!!! They use too much water. Fog nozzles use less which in turn creates less water damage and less of a live load in the structure. Awsome job gettin the job done though.

  • 5 stars!! very nice quick, agressive knock down, and getting quick ventalation

  • that was one of the best knock downs i have ever seen great job medic!!!!!!

  • Why do people have to ruin these awesome videos by placing annoying music over the sound? I prefer to hear the actual sound that goes with the video... not some guy screaming words to a song.

  • At the 1:21 mark you see a FF come into the frame. He has a big...something on his helmet. Anybody know what that is? Just curious.

    ~Deuce

  • looks like a helmet camera or a flashlight.

  • This is, without a doubt, my favoritest : ) video.

  • Nice knock down.

  • WillaVance, keep in mind this is probably one of the largest homes(approx. 1,000sqft) in the 5th ward. They're all Crack houses. The easiest house fires in the US are like this, even the weekest Volly department can make this look good.

  • yeah, and they got the engine dirty too...

  • i will admit.....VERY SMOOTH....awesome knock down...i love watching a scene get cleaned like clock work.....unfortunately the nature of the beast, volunteer depts(like mine) dont run quite this smooth....great job hfd

  • firefighters who fight fires like this everyday make it look easy and fire fighters who do not, usually screw it up. Paramedics need to stay in the Band-Aid Buggy.

  • WillaVance....the firefighter on the line is a paramedic. We like to refer to ourselves as "Advanced Firefighters". Houston has rotation stations with crosstrained personnel. Old school is out!

  • @vpostell one hell of a lineman at that!

  • @vpostell nice work id love to get a patch or shirt stay safe brother

  • hfd firefighters get paramedic training and even full time paramedics are trained in some firefighting

  • @WillaVance, dont knock down FF/CEP its becoming the new standard, but I guess starting at the age of 50 something you probably wouldnt be able to get though CEP training anyhow. My suggestion dont comment on things you know nothing about.

  • wow u suck

  • Now don't go getting a big head. You might not fit through the door. lol

  • No, it wasn't a practice burn. Just seemed that way cause it went so smooth. Having a Paramedic on the Nozzle probably helped out ALOT! :)

  • Was this a practice burn?

  • where was this? That house looks familiar

  • Well the front of the Engine says "Fifth Ward", and the Fifth Ward is on the Northeast side of Downtown Houston. So my guess is somewere over there...

  • When your tired of needles and bandages and the nozzle is getting old, you should work a truck...

  • Good looking rig can't be more than a year or two old. Great attack from the rear. Noticed the christmas decoration on the grill...nice touch. We're not allowed to do that. City's afraid it might offend somebody.

  • Hey allsteer40, that is yours truly, getting some nozzle time. Not too bad for a paramedic, huh??? :)

  • Medic make good nozzle jockies.

  • That was faster attack than the other videos posted here. Good job.

  • Good stuff, its not often you get to see something from start to finish like that.
