puppy looks so cute and big. I always like big dogs even though that are black n white.

Q: are these dogs good for humidity tropical climates or has to be cold and warm climates only?

This alabai has long history and it last from Epos Manas the great Kyrgyz Warior, the other name for this breed is Volkodav, dont mix this breed with Caucasian shepard, qualities of this breed is different from any other breed.

Dog was raised created for Russian army as a guard dog. Thought it is now the most popular breed of dog in Russia. Alabai is a natural specie of dog. It used my farmers to protect livestock like goats and other grazing animals. They are also used in dog fights in central Asian areas. Thought this practice is no way similar to the viscous pit bull or Doberman fights in the west. Its a activity between farmers and the dogs enjoy the completion.

i own a central asian ovcharka . newfowlands are a compete different dog. central asians are fantastic with children . they are a one person dog , but are great in families . i think by far the best dog i have ever owned .

now that looks like a dog thats on a raw diet, my GSD stopped losing so much hair, and gained 5 lbs when i switched him from dry food, but your alabai is gorgeous, 220 lbs... usually any dog over 180 lbs doesnt look so good, but your alabai is very well proportion, youre an owner that deserves a medal, especially for not being an idiot like many other owners that just because they have a large dog they attempt to make them fight.

Newfoundlands are called the babysitter dog pulling out of trouble or blocking a child from danger. They were originally bred for saving people from the water so love water by Catholic seminarians. They are the gentlest, most gentle dogs ever. The Ovcharka is bred to protect farm-animals from bear and wolfs and is despite its cute appearance very dangerous. Not like pitbull dangerous, more like wild wolf dangerous. Its the only breed of dogs i know of that isnt compatible with humans. I hope you guys know wtf you are doing..

This is a guard dog. Maybe the best guard dog out there. Not a family dog.

I know experianced dog people who have made that mistake of thinking its a dog that can be sociolized easy like other breeds. One guy i know went to hospital for 1 week for that mistake.

ah hes not that big. the biggest dog i have actually seen is an Alaskan Malamute that use to come in my work he weighed 100 lbs at 7 months old and is by far bigger then that dog. he was even bigger then the Great Danes that came in.

Actually, Doberman ears and tails are cropped for their own protection as well as function.The original breeder used them as protection for tax collecting in hostile places. Harder to grab onto cropped ears and docked tails,never for fighting or looks.

Caucasians were bred in Caucasus and it originates IN Caucasus.

There's lots of info on Caucasians on Russian websites, as Russia is the main country where the Caucasian was taken to from Caucasus and is used in Russian military since the late 19th century (when Russian colonized Caucasus). 

In civilian uses, it's mainly used as a fighting dog or a guard dog, but its original purpose in Caucasus was a a "volkodav", or "wolf crusher".
