Agreed, but there's only so much you can do in an afternoon. I never needed a good jib, just thought it'd be fun to build one without spending much time & money. BTW, part of the jumpyness lies in the translation from orignal video to youtube. Something funky happened there. Original vid is somewhat more stable.
A tip - you need to add some counter weight to the handles, that way you avoid the jekiness that comes from using your arms as counte weight - result:smooth/fluid camer motion.
yeah totally, they only run $15000 but im sure if you had a remote head and everyththing on there you could make all that back in very short time. good job though

Yeah, a little too much movement to make it usable...almost there.
You could put this on a paintedsheep dolly for some cool shots.
Just search for paintedsheep dolly on youtube.

lol......horrible......you got the idea...but your jib is Waaaay too jumpy. I built one for about 200$ that rivals 1000 $ jibs. Its all in design m8.
