  • Very new at painting, found your series of landscape/trees inspirational. I know nothing about painting but it seems to contain some realism with abstract. I like how you stay with an approach and expand on it. Very cool.

  • @storagedog33 Thanks for your comments. You're right- I mix realism with abstract to get both the senses and the mind involved. All the best with your painting!

  • I think they are called SOS pads.. lol

  • @princenaz23 Aha! Yes, thanks for reminding me.

  • would have been handy to actually SEE the painting. I'm pretty familiar with what glassware looks like...

  • @tuzigoot48 You're right. I need to add a shot of the finished piece. The image may be published in a book and I have to hold off displaying it until they've decided.

  • i like your tequnice. im going to try it out :D

  • I'd keep the bozo out of your next video.....He's not as funny as He thinks he is. Otherwise good info.

  • Hehehe i spy jason :D I love this grungey technique,I bet this painting looked a treat when it was finished, you paint really lovely.wishing you both well :)

  • @spiralisedcat Yep, that's Jason :) The painting was done, Rob, but I didn't feel satisfied so I've started re-working it again. Thanks for the well wishes.

  • thanks for the idea! um but i dont understand... is that water on the bottom?

  • @myARTjournal

At this point it's an under painting and it got more layers over top. I did do another painting and just left the black to represent water. The look is more for symbolism than realism. My landscapes have abstract and more realistic elements side by side to stimulate both the senses and the realm of ideas. Without context, that's hard to see. Thanks for the feedback. I'll try to find a way to give a context with new videos.

  • Your painting looks amazing and I thought this was interesting and educational. I paint some myself though I hardly have time anymore. Maybe I'll be able to incorporate some of this into something someday. Thank you.

  • @jatrichojas

Thanks for the kind comments. There's only so much time, isn't there? Your music would be enough to satisfy you creatively, I imagine. I used to play flute, but don't have the desire to do it now that I'm painting.

  • booooriiinnngggg
