Nice cherokee man. I got a 1989 jeep cherokee laredo but it isnt getting any fire. Im going to try changing the plugs, plug wires, and im going to check the coil...and a few other things...but suggestions would be great. Thanks.
@mmtwist123 try checking ur number one crank sensor it has a plug towards the rear of ur fuel rail but the sensor should be in the top left side of ur bell housing if it goes bad or is shorted out u will not get any fire at all. the sensor sends a signal to the computer when ur engine starts turning over to begin firing. i went thru this on my 93 model. hopefully it helps.

Could be many Things. Since it goes away quickly and if it runs fine, you'll be ok. Lube up your belts,pullys,and when you change the oil make suire you use 5w-30.
My 94 did that. It could be one of 3 things I think... The bolts on your starter could be loose (if it makes a grinding noise when you turn the key) It could also be a lose exhaust or some lose/warn engine mounts. I have had all three of these problems.
That looks like the same exact jeep i have i have a 91 jeep cherokee limited i just took it muddin the other day i hit a mut pit at 50 miles an hour its extremely fun highly recomend it

ten jeep jest na gazie. jezdzilem nim w o wiele ciezszych warunkach i naprawde skatowalem kilka razy samochod i jezeli gaz jest dobrej jakosci to nie ma roznicy w jezdzie! pieknie idzie. a spalanie na gazie wychodzi cenowo tyle co spalanie diesla w Patrolu :)
