I've worked up so many concepts for weapon systems, I can't remember them all. To be honest though, the way patents work is more of a ponzy scheme than it is true credit. Many people can have the same idea... in the same era or a different one, so I have to disagree that these have anything in common with Gatlin's original patent. They far exceed it.

Actually multibarrelled guns had existed for at least 300 years before Gatling. But those had to be manually loaded 1 barrel at a time, which meant that a 32 barrel gun could fire 32 shots in a very short time, and then the gunners would reload it for an hour or so, unless they had pre-loaded "clips" of loaded -barrels- to fix into the gun carriage.
