I remember this. I was there. We bragged about rebuilding it in 3 days. I was very sad for what happened a few years later. (not there for that) None the less - I love TAMU - but no tradition is worth dying for. Gig 'Em Ags
that happened my freshman year... it was so rainy that week or 2 and it slumped... but they built it back so fast.. and everybody had a tshirt saying "aggies get it up faster twice".... i cant understand how they don't have bonfire like we used to.... they dont know what they are missing....sad.
my cousin Chris Breen was in died that night. he was awesome... the funny thing was almost all of our family still goes to a little aggie bonfire in central texas every year
Some day the bonfire will come back to campus. There is too much that was good about it, too much history, culture and identity. We can engineer a safer design and build the hell outta bonfire agian...just be patient until the right leader comes along and sets the course for us.
Great video. I remember that year. Everyone pitched in to get the bonfire built after it fell. Its nice to see some old footage. It seems like such a long time ago now. A great moment in time.
Never forget the burning desire to B.T.H.O. tu. No matter going to the SEC or come what may.

@lamardarren Yeah, because no European Stadium has ever collapsed from retarded Eurotrash jumping on the third level.

I very well remember that. I was there when it made the snapping noise, and I was there to rebuild it.

Noone died in 1994! It fell because we received 16" of rain in a 24hr period. I wish we could build the hell outta them that big again. :-(
