  • hmmmm Remakes are usualy awful! but this is one of the rare good remakes!

  • no wonder they dont get adopted.. they didnt clean very well!!

  • I love this song.

  • aaaaaaahhhhhhhh! stuck in head!

  • ze kunnen zooo mooi zingen!!!!

  • kk so... i watched this movie so much as a kid the tape broke. i also watch modern family religiously. im blown away that little molly in this movie is the grown up, prissy teenage school slut haley on modern family!!

  • damn, i never even knew there was a remake. wowwww

  • the only trick the directors missed in this paticular number was the lack of people in the scene. the 1982 film had a whole army of girls, which gave the movie more depth. But apart from that the 1999 film is a very good representation of the best version...the stage show.

  • the little girl who is supossed 2 be cute is creepy! the one in the older one is so much cuter. all of the children in this has major talent!

  • Orginal version= Always better.

  • @thefkgmjcummins much better :D

  • aw, poor orphans having to clean their room and make the beds... wait.

  • @andystar89 No, its not that. ITs that they dont have any parents, or anything in the entire world. So, yeah. If you'r saying that orphans have it easy, then you are extremely mislead. :\

  • i think the 1982 fans and 1999 fans need to agree to disagree, there more important things to worry about than argueing over two films!!

but just to be clear im a 1999 fan 100% lol but yer lets end it at that :]

  • i hate the 1999 one i like the older one

  • why doesn't Annie have her curly hair?

  • I love this movie the best the original is ok but i like the newer version better :)

  • this movie is an insult they no effort in it

  • i love this one because they case her over the beds

  • How is the featured video Party in The USA?!?!?!?

  • I love is version more, but this particular scene is better in the 1982 version...

  • This version ROCKS!!!

  • 1982 VERSION IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUUUUUUCCCCCHHHH BEEEETTTERRR IF U DONT BELIEVE ME DO CHECK FOR UR SELF

  • @futebalmakedonia i checked this ones better. :]

  • They're yelling because they're PISSSED

  • God I remember dancing to this as a kid in a play we had "written" (I use the term loosely lol) *hides head with shame*

  • Damn all this years I though jayz owned this song

  • @jogwolf Wow, that's terrible.

  • very good

    from puppy1

  • Who could like this piece of crap!

  • My all time favorite Annie EVER. I love it SO much!

  • lovee this!! <3 hahaha

  • the older one is sucky... this version's where it's at.

  • @rabbitfur What?.........

  • @rabbitfur WOW! Really? The older one is better, it has way more dancing in it. The first one they are doing flips, and doing awsome dancing. This one there just scribing a floor for a hour and not doing anything cool.IM BORED BY IT. How is this better than the older one? You should watch the first one and try to understand. I know you were born at the time but I was too. THIS ONE IS SUPER STUIP.

  • I like the original one, just for the acting...cool dances

  • Oh my goodness I don't like this version at all! It is really bad.....The 1982 version is so much better!

  • the 1999 version is relatively boring compared to the 1982 one, haha. I know it's like beating a dead horse..but i HAD to add my two cents. And the kids here don't look like orphans...they look more like toned down normal kids. In the other one, you can clearly see how dirty and mistreated they were supposed to look

  • @Pokeball26 I know right

  • i hate the 1999 one i like th eorginal

  • Annie and the orphans are so mean to the "Santa Clause we neeever see." I think her name is Molly but she's so cute and small

  • This film seems more realistic... Because in the older film the orphans laughed to much when they sang.. And they dud more dancing in the older version.. But that's my opinnoin newer version is better

  • @petfan1202 its a musical, which means dancing and its not suppose to be very realistic. They are making light of the situation in the first one, which is what was intended

  • i think 1999 version is way better but its only my opinion any1 else agree???

  • There are some things I love about this version and the older version. They all have that little thing that makes them stand out from the rest and if you mash up all those great things from both movies, you get the BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!

  • the cute little one with the big eyes is haely from modern family

  • I find it funny that people want to get thumbs up by preferring old things over new adaptations.

  • Kathy bates is awesome

  • isn't annie famous for her bright red curly hair?

  • hands down, this movie is better than the 1982 version :)

  • I like the one with Mr. Evil.

  • @Godwashere09 mr evil wtf

  • Lalaine!

  • the other one was better it was more better and more girls

  • I can't believe Sarah Hyland (Molly) is in Modern Family now.

  • The 1982 version is wayyy better, and has more action!

  • They rlly have no excuse for annie's hair cus in the 80s version the little girl who played her had black straight hair and she wore a wig the whole time

  • Comment removed

  • Well I grew up with the 1999 Annie movie, so I prefer this. I was born in 1991 BTW.

  • isnt it "hard enough life" ....?

  • @CableCordFun nope it's hard knock life

  • i love this movie and have never seen the 1982 version but i watched this on the 1982 version and the moves were AMAZING

  • i like the 1999 version better

  • The one from 1982 sounded like the girls were angrier and more defiant, and they had better range and athletic ability. And no offense, but I like the old Annie and Molly better.

  • @BeastBoysLover14 totally agree

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan About Annie and Molly? Or about all of it?

  • @BeastBoysLover14 well i guess mostley annie , she should have red curly hair

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan Well, yeah. That's pretty much her defining feature. Somebody made a movie of one of my favourite books (I've only seen a little of the movie), and they completely changed the characters features, as well as some of the facts in the book.

  • @BeastBoysLover14 oh. i mean , I am just saying this isnt the best annie ever made.

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan I know. I just tend to reference stuff when I'm trying to make a point. I'm weird that way.

  • @BeastBoysLover14 lol same!

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan Really? None of my friends do that.

  • ha ha! well ok then

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan You know, you don't have to yell =/

  • @BandNerd2813 sorry

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan hey if u wanna blame someone blame the producers because they didnt have the people change their looks the people did great!! be nice!!!!

  • @whitehorsez13 well thay should have!

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan its because were used to the original one :)

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan looked like themselves? what?whats wrong with this one? they deffinately look like themselves..im pretty sure no one on earth CANT look like THEMSELVES xD this version is better

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan well of course youd like the other one your a justin beiber fan!

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan Your name is "The biggest Justin Bieber Fan"....I really don't think your opinion of anything having to do with music is credible. Like, at all.

  • @hutchigc shut up, crotch. I have all the right in the world.

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan You have the right to an opinion, most certainly... it's just that your opinion itself is moronic. I never denied you your right to sound like an inbred mouth-breather, just your credibility as any kind of musical critic, as you are the self admitted "biggest fan" of the worst thing to happen to music or popular culture since the Ethel Merman disco album. Now go do your homework, it's your bedtime soon.

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan JUSTIN BIEBE=GAY

  • @mariobrosvswariobros ummmm..... y r u here??

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan i am in the play and never herd the songs

  • @mariobrosvswariobros thats weird, but ok.

  • @mariobrosvswariobros Can everyone please stop arguing over the Beaver?? I wasn't aware that he was in my video!

  • @mariobrosvswariobros Sorry, I can't see your reply... It's just blank.

  • @BandNerd2813 I thik mariobrosvswariobros says Justin Bieber is gay because that guy's name is thebiggestjustinbfan...

  • @mariobrosvswariobros o lol and i said justin beaver isnt in hear peeps just like his music ( how they do i have no idea) I HATE his Music

  • @BandNerd2813 what beaver?

  • @mariobrosvswariobros WIEE DOESS HEE CUM UP DAMM IHATE THAT EVERYTHING HASS TO BE ABOUT HIM LET THE BOY BEE

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan im pretty sure they look likethemselves, no one who has ever existed could NOT look likethemselves you know? OH AND JUSTIN BIEBER IS FOR GAY LITTLE GIRLS

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan

    wow y so mean?

everyone is entitled to their opinion, including the other people who watch this video :/

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan How can a character looklike themselves? I asumme you look like yourself. I look like myself too.

  • @thebiggestjustinbfan look like themselves!? that makes NO sense!

  • the original annie is waaaaay better!

  • There all orphans...hee.

  • I love how this version of the song follows Broadway the best!!!

  • I like the 1985 version better

But I like this one too

  • and Annie's doing actual cleaning along with the rest of them in this one.

  • I like this one better. They seemed too.. well, happy in the other one, and they were really stilted sounding. How did Annie, as an orphan, get a perm in the other one? o.o

  • @insanityvideoskid it wasnt a perm thats her natural hair lol

  • @ThroughTheValleyy Nobody's hair stands up like that on its own. That was piled super high.

  • @insanityvideoskid actually, i do know ppl whos hair does stand up like that. when yu have extremely curly hair and yu cut it that short it does to that.

  • Ahhh~ My cousin was so adorable in this movie o.o She played as Pepper, the sassy orphan [; Love ya Rissy!<3 Haha well i like this version a lot better. No, not just because my cousin's in it but it's more realistic and idk, it just seems better to me o.o

  • @crazygurl419 Is it because the orphans aren't just white? Because they seem to be differnet orphans.

  • @ShadowDJ94 Idk.. but i do hate racist people. We're all made differently, and others should just accept that

  • @crazygurl419 THANK YOU! plus what's so different? Pigment? Oh yeah, and if someone had red eyes, would they be racists against them for their eyes?

  • @ShadowDJ94 Some idiots will be.. But not much people like us can do. its a terrible thing, and everybody who gets picked on because of the way they're made deserves to be treated just like everyone else. Guess people have nothing better to do with their lives than make others feel miserable o.o Jerks..

  • @crazygurl419 True.

  • I like the 1982 version a lot more....

  • This version is more faithful to the play from what I understand.

  • this version's off beat imo

  • @zackhanscom Well...they are kids. So I think they're trying to make it more, you know, realisitc. I mean, would kids be prepared for a song? They seem to be doing this for fun in this version

  • who plays the little black girl?

  • I like this version. 1982 was definitely more impressive, but this is more realistic.

The only thing about this version is all the girls sound the same. I love their attitude though :D

I'm caught between the "Santa Claus We Never See" part - Molly in 82 was cuter, and I liked how 82 Annie sounded, but the Annie here is more like "Wha? Wth are you talking about? Why are you stopping?" which I love :D

  • I like the 1982 version better. This one sounds more angry.

  • @TrebinJenkis i'd be pissed too if i were in their place. Besides, wasn't the 1982 version nominated for razzies like worst picture?

  • love dis movie my favorite i like the disney version better

  • the two versions of Annie are intirely different, i like the 1982 version of a its a hard knocked life better though. the little girls who say "santa clause we never see" are always rly cute!

  • u stay up to this dump shines like the top of the chrysler building

  • This version is better....I use to love watching this when I was very young!

  • some made a so bad remix with aduilts i HATE him half of these views are me

  • @MEAMRIKKI ahaahahahaha that made laugh

  • i went to the premire in London. I was an ophan - now working at the BBC.

  • there's bird crap on the top of crysler building

  • i think people are going like o.c.d. on the whole "it's not the same as the first" thing. The writers of the films had different veiws of how the moive should be. It's not going to be a copy of the first one because that would be boring. Some people need to know that different things can be fun if you try them. I thought we all learned that in perschool.....

  • love this i like this movie better than the other one

  • Personally, on a realism scale, this version is more practical; they're mad at Ms. Hannigan for making them work and work and get nothing in return.

The 1982 version was wonderfully choreographed and was pretty cool... but how many orphans actually do flips and clean at the same time? Wouldn't they have been adopted and been made into internet stars? Well, whatever, they didn't even have internet back in 1982 anyway.

I like this version more, but the 1982 version is VEEERRRRY impressive.

  • i like both movies but i gotta admit in the 1982 hard knock life was a lot more idk fun and also in this one they r like screaming

  • I liked both movies.

But I have to admit; the 1982 version was more actiony , like the orphan girls did frontflips and backflips which I liked.

But the acting was better in this one.

I can't decide, they are both awesome!

  • i love dis version of da movie for 1999 da 1982 1 kinda suck BIG TIME! dis 1 iz way cuterrrrr!

  • this scene was funner (and i mean funner not funnIER) in the original

  • What does Hard Knock Life mean

  • i was wondering the same thing

  • i like this version of this song 1999 better than the 1982 one this one goes WELL WITH the KIDS FEELIN A HARD KNOCK LIFE..in the 1982 one they r doing cartwheels and flips n singing like they r having FUN..right here it shows it like it is...kinda mad fustrated n having a hard knock life..

  • i like the 1982 one better

but for easy street i have to say i like the disney version better even though tim curry carol burnett and bernadette peters are amazing

  • i think that this movie was better, i watched the 1982 version i thought it fit, but the acting kinda stunk. in this movie, there were diffrent races being treated diffrentley when at the time it didnt go that way. i love both movies bu ti love this Annie ALOT so my vote is 1999 version.

  • the first version of annie looks much better and Its a hard knock life scene in the 1982 movie was all the better it was amazing

  • I was 2 and I loved it (:

In 2000 me and my best friend got wet rags and did a reinactment of this song(:

  • This version came out when I was 4, and I loved it, but this one just seems a lot angrier compared to the '82 movie. Plus, TIM CURRY. 82 wins by a slim margin.

  • the sterotype annie has red tight curls but in this movie its not like the first movie. the first movie is better its better singing and dancing and they are havin more fun in the 1982 film :) x red headed annie 4evaaa x

  • The 1982 version is better. They do more dancing and other acrobatics. Also, Molly doesn't keep mimicking the mean things Miss Hannigan says through her part like the 1982 version. Feels lacking.

  • Not really.

  • i actually like this one better....

  • Oh come on now!

  • The Annie in this version can sing a little better I believe.

  • i wanna see this movie not the 198? this was better to me can someone put this on here

  • im singing it in schoooooool

  • where can i watch this version of the film?

  • its sounds the same to the 1982...

  • The 1982 version is soooooo much better.....

  • I love this movie :)))) i think i need to watch it now haha

  • tell me if u find out where pllleaassee : )

  • just look up Annie 1999 version part 1 on youtube, it should come up!

  • lol i no iv got it now lol

  • i personally like the 1982 version better

  • i dont like the 1982 one this one is better

  • Is it just me or do these girls sing on playback? It's just that I can't hear any difference in the arrangement of the song. And it's very unlikly that two different versions of a song sounds just the same.

  • there no where near the same!

  • ive seen both versions a billion times.

  • I love Annie so much :)

Definitely one of my favourite musicals.. I think both versions are fantastic, but this is the one I watched religiously growing up, so it has a soft spot in my heart.. Alicia Morton is wonderful.

  • There is better dancing in the '82 version

  • the 1982 version is much better. These guys were doing frig all cleaning!! lol

  • i prefer the 1982 one, coz although this is realistic, miss hannigan acts more like a drunk on the '82 one, and yeah, on the '82 one they act happy becoz miss H has just left them and so they aren't under her eagle eye any more when they're singing the song. Molly is supposed to be small and cute and although '99 molly has a cuter voice, she looks older than '82molly.

  • i like this becuase its not old its more modern and sounds modern but the 1982 was fun there were so many kids though it was hard to concentrate on main characters. the songs in both of them sound good thou :)
