Should have the same performance. Choose which looks better for you or has better features. I would choose X50 - since has better display multiple bands option (Expert Meter).

@RDtestaaa Haha i just chose rx65 blue because i got a better deal on it. But after that i found out x50 has better i/o pulse dection -.- Oh well i'm sure the rx65 will do fine lol. Thanks for the help.

i was coming home from work the other day and my 9500ix pick up two cop cars from 1 mile away on a road with a long bend in it. maybe it work so well was be cause two cops cars were both running KA but it was still plenty of warning for me to slow down .

i wonder why 8500 x50 did so bad knowing this and the 9500i are both by escort, arent they supposed to have the same range but different features? or the range is also different between the models. but why the range gab was so big between the two in first place at this experiment!

I don't know, MY X50 mounted high center on windshield absolutely smokes all your detector's in this test.Saved my ass too many times to count and i drive Maybe I got a FREAK I drive a very stealhy dark colored small sport compact i've out braked instant on K ,KA,and yes laser many times and when i say save i mean 20+over PSL P.S. I drive with 2 feet ready 2 pounce Constant on from somtimes over a mile NO KIDDIN IT"S MY BEST FRIEND DON"T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT

Hey I just got a bel v995 and it hasn't picked up any cops on the highway. I went by a good 3 cops on the highway sitting in the median and it didn't even beep once. All bands were on and it was set to highway mode. Also, is it better to mount a detector high or low on the windshield? Thanks.

Maybe they didn't use radar? Maybe used it in Instant On mode? Maybe had lidar? Too many factors to predict...

Yeah I guess. I just assumed since I passed so many that it just wasn't working. Cuz I know the bel 995 has good detection range. Anyway, I was just curious.

Bro...... Mount it as high as you can on your windshield under your rear view mirror. Yes the hanging cord is annoying but the reception improvement is incredible believe it or not.

X50 EURO? Definitely. After first drives with that new for all of us model I can see huge performance improvement. Details soon...

S7 platform was better - no doubt! But it was both more expensive to produce and more defective, and we all know that accountants rule the world, so...

Anyway, look how RX65e differs on K from V995. After all these are exactly the same units - they have only different casing and software. Why performance is so variuos?

And by the way - we did one run with Pro78 C and in circumstances of this test it was slightly worse than X50...
