  • pactard knows nothing about boxing

  • @anglekan

now I know u r black and racist!!

no one at that weight including Floyd can not break through clotty's surviving mode defense better that what PAC just did!!

  • I think clotty had a better chance with Floyd .

there is a reason why Floyd pick and choose his opponent and avoid migaul cotto or clotty and only fight fighters his computable with.

I know Floyd can not take cotto's punches

and I know Floyd can not break through clotty's surviving mode defense!

  • I actually think that Clottey provided a pretty good template for someone like Floyd to beat Pacman. If you look at the fight closely, pacman hardly got a clean punch in. And Clottey, with the few punches he landed, did damage to pacman. Pacman can get hit. With someone with the defense of Floyd and the quickness of Floyd, he cud really look at this fight and learn a great deal from it. Clottey didn't get hit much, despite manny's high work rate. In this fite pac looked less than invincible.

  • @brendos444 Pacquiao did have a hard time landing shots on clottey and pacquiao was getting caught by upper cuts. But pacquiao's workrate forced clottey to stay defensive the whole fight which made it easy for pacquiao to win most of the rounds. Mayweather is very accurate with his punches but he is also very conservative with his punches. It would be a good fight between floyd and pacquiao. Pacquiao's aggressive style versus floyds defensive style.

  • @pwa30 Dude, I think mayweather pacman will look like whitaker chavez. I know pac is faster than chavez, but i still think guys like floyd can negate the speed and pressure by boxing and moving, using their defensive skills, pot shotting when they want to. Don't forget floyds the bigger guy. If he's countering pac with the same regularity that marquez countered pac, then i think he gets pac out of there in the late rounds. Clottey damaged pac with hardly any offense. floyd will hit him easier.

  • @brendos444 Floyd does not have impressive punching power at welterweight. Miguel Cotto punches a lot harder than Mayweather does and pacquiao took cotto's best punches and did not get hurt too much. Floyds defense and speed will give pacquiao problems. We know floyd has good defense but can floyd take pacquiao's hardest punches. Floyd has been fighting fighters that fade in the late rounds. Pacquiao will not fade and will be very aggressive for the entire fight.

  • @pwa30 I think it's not quite right that floyd does not have big punching power at welterweight. and lets remember that pac is the smaller guy. Lets also remember that floyd is much faster than cotto and margarito and clottey. If he times pac right, it will do a lot of damage. And if he counters him a lot, i think he will take manny out in the late rounds. Pac will only continue to be aggressive if he hasn't taken much punishment. I think he might take punishment against floyd

  • Also, pac has been fighting guys that are damaged goods of late. Cotto was never the same after margarito. same with margarito after shane. Why have they not gotten the trilogy on with JMM? Pac does have troubles with counter-punchers. I think floyd is a far superior counter puncher than JMM, plus he doesn't get hit. I used to think manny wud overwhelm floyd, but now I think diff. The Clottey fight is one reason. So too the way floyd shut out JMM. I don't think manny cud do that to JMM even now

  • @brendos444 Pacquiao would destroy Marquez at welterweight. The reasons why are that pacquiao has a strong right hand punch now which is something pacquiao did not have when he fought Marquez. Plus pacquiao maintained his speed at welterweight and marquez is obviously slower at welterweight since marquez best weight division is lightweight. Pacquiao's improved fighting style, and superior speed would be too much for marquez and marquez is getting old now too.

  • @pwa30 That's your opinion and it doesn't necessarily play out the way u say. Of course manny would insist on fighting at 147 because it suits him rather than at a catch weight of 140, which would be the fair weight. In any case, we KNOW that money handled JMM. We also KNOW that pac got two helluva fights against JMM. He lost the second fite imo. Manny doesn't like counterpunchers. And Floyd is the best at that. JMM is getting old I agree.

  • @brendos444 I wouldn't like JMM to fight pac now just because he is too old. He already has a moral victory over pac in that he won more rounds over the two fights than manny. He shouldn't risk that, despite his urge to set the record straight, and earn millions! Fighters can get old in one fight, as they say. JMM has already proved he's just as good a fighter as manny is. Manny has been successful moving up. It still remains that JMM handled him ok. Manny's power kept him in those fights

  • @brendos444 Marquez showed pacquiao his weakness, being open for counters. Freddy Roach learned a lot from pacquiao's fights with Marquez and corrected some of pacquiao's flaws. Marquez has proven that he is a great fighter and he has nothing else to prove. Marquez is one of the best Mexican fighters I have ever seen with his awesome close range fighting. Mayweather was so smart that he did not allow Marquez into close range and kept Marquez at a distance where he was vulnerable.

  • @brendos444 Check out my video called, Pacquiao, Marquez, Mayweather Styles make fights video. It goes into detail about all 3 fighters and their strengths and weaknesses.

  • @pwa30 Hey man!!! My assessment of Manny's vulnerabilities vs Clottey turned out to be exactly right!! Pac did not destroy Marquez and, if anything, Marquez won the fight. I'd be very interested in hearing your post fight analysis for Pacman Marquez 3. Even if you had manny winning, his cloak of invincibility has been removed. i saw his vulnerabilities in the Clottey fight and said JMM and Floyd wud give Pac hell. And so far it looks pretty good. Floyd will demolish pac, stopping him in Rd 10

  • I watched a boring fight were Clottey stood there like a kid trying to learn to shadow box for the first time. I watched as pacroid hit him with everything he had and still couldnt dent clottey and I watched as clottey hit pacroid with punches that BUSTED pacroids face!

  • I was worried about the hundreds of body shots got by Clottey. Maybe we are not hearing it yet, but I´m quite sure the body shots fired by Pacquiao will do some damage in Clotteys kidney/liver. Hope not he´s a good boxer, he is just lacking of confidence. He needs to work with that. Look very well the 1st. round, Pacquiao caught him & he almost lost his balance. He realizes how quick & powerful Pacquiao is, so I guess Clottey chooses not to be KO and prefers loosing standing at the end.

  • It looked like Clottey was hopingt to take out Pacquiao with one of the punches he threw but it didnt work so he had no other plan but keep hoping one of those puches will drop the guy.

  • your absolutely fight. Because if clottey showed up and fight real toe to toe he will be knock out for sure, thats why clottey just make a tight defense. and a survival mode.

  • lol VERY true! That manny, he's so damn fast, and all the fighters say he hits so hard! Mayweather will just do what he always does if ever they meet.... run away the whole fight....

  • Good post fight analysis, pwa30

  • a typical welterweights 40 punches per round and manny ws averaging 100 plus wow!!

  • Pacquiao mentioned that he wanted to fight Mosley if Mosley win that fight against Mayweather.

  • woooohhh that will be a nice move!!! GO pacman!!!!

  • There is a difference with Mayweather vs Marquez and Pacquiao vs Mosley.

Marquez was not at his natural weight, while Mayweather was on his natural weight at that time, Plus the bigger guy.

  • marquez is too slow .. and hard time to counter he was fast on 130 .. when he battle pacman .. to bad he just can't reach that level too ..

  • Sounds more like snoop dog! LMFAO

  • niigaaa sounds like a pedefil

  • LOL you must have had an experience with one!

  • Clottey will think twice next time he wants to in the ring dancin like thAt!

    Free weezy!

  • @MenTakeBubbleBaths would have, could have, if only, blah blah blah. but it didn't go that way, right? clottey came to fight but he just couldn't deal with the speed like everyone else that pacman fought in the welter division. that's why he couldn't let his hands go because he was afraid to get hit. even his manager said "let's take a risk"; meaning that he could get hit hard if he lets his hand go. conspiracy theory time again.

  • that was too boring fight!clottey done nothing in 12rounds.from the beginning to ends clottey just being busy to covered/protecting his head.clottey and floyd have in common.they are boring fighters.PERIOD!!!!

  • Clottey yes But Mayweather displays skills!!

  • well if it was a yes show man .. look at the face of manny .. i prepared the fight on Floyd jr and OScAR .. is the yes man show .. not this one ..

  • yeah i remember that on hbo interview ... but he just been dominated on punches .. lol .. at least he is the only guy who fought manny that his face is clean .. :)

  • Clottey admits this is his 1st LOSE ... all the 3 losses is nothing .... well Josh do something damage .. why he did not throw a lot of punches cause he will be out of gas and let his defense fell a part .. and that's what manny wants .. sometimes he go on josh head to head and saying come on pull a trigger .. he take a risk to see a open but josh take a 10 punch or 30 punch every single round ..

  • Clottey fought scared and was worried too much. Didn't believe in himself and Pac fought as aggressive as always. If Clottey didn't show too much respect towards Pac, he would of been knocked out. Forget May, i'd rather see a Mosley vs Pac, more exciting, cos they'll go toe to toe until the end.

  • pacquiao also let clottey hit him but clottey always on defense he hid not want to take the risk

  • i agree that its similar to the floyd vs marquez fight in which its a very one sided fight...the big difference in reverse is that pacquiao, a smaller fighter in welterweight beating up a bigger close to middleweight fighter. correction though...marquez is a great great fighter.

  • You were partly correct about elite vs very good fighters. But you missed a big difference between Floyd vs Marquez and Pacquiao vs Clottey. Mayweather came in overweight vs Marquez while Paquiao was the smaller man vs Clottey. Mayweather outclassed a smaller man in Marquez while Pacquiao outclassed a much bigger and tougher man in Clottey. If Marquez were to fight Clottey, I don't see Marquez surviving that fight. So in comparison Pacquiao fought and won a tougher competition than Floyd.

  • I think Clottey showed he was tough against Pacquiao and he didn't run away like Big Cotto Did, I have more respect for Clottey now

  • nigga doesnt even blink mayne..

  • clottey change his plan to depend all the way to 12th round because he tasted the punch of pacquiao in the 1st round (watch the fight carefully) just like what happend to dela joya he was surprise by the speed of pacquiao. so he can do nothing. He cant do exchange punches w/ pacquiao.

  • yeah .. all the fighter said he is fast freaking fast .. we guys don't know that cause we are not in the ring ... all the fighter that pacman fought see him only in the tape but when they fight him .. they all shock ... and stun ... on Marquez 2nd fight pacman is a little bit slow .. even the 1st round bell pacman is too slow look at the weight in .. pacman body is so thin ..

  • the thing is though. Clottey will now be remembered as a nobody in pacquiaos legacy.

ODLH - Dominated and retired him

Hatton - Massive KO in 2 rounds

Cotto - Dominated and destroyed him, made run backwards for half the fight.

Clottey - ...what did he do?

No one is going to remember him, not even for his losses, Which is a shame, because if he had a different attitude, he could have won!

I am a pacfan, my family bought the PPV and thats what i got from my analisys.

  • hahha the COAch of CLOTTEY is begging for him come on .. we go home lose .. take a risk .. but clottey big breath on the corner and not listen carefully ... the body punch hurt him a little .. u see a lot of cold water throwing on him inside his balls hahaha ..

  • @zendo09 loooool his balls!

  • You missed one important thing!

Pacquiao said before the fight that he learn a new technique that he was going to use in the fight!

THE DOUBLE PUNCH! so unbeatable and so unbelievable, what a technique! What an innovation to boxing.

  • your right but pacman said its called DOUBLE HOOK, it is releasing a left and right hook at the same time, its a good punch but the referee warned pacman about that punch cause its very dangerous lol

  • hahaah ... damm that's POMPYANG we called it ... it's only on a movie seen action u will that .. but manny do it on the ring and he laughs .. ...

  • your analysis is what the commentators thought and probably what almost everyone thought. The one thing that surprised me was when Pacquao said that he would work the body before the fight, so he gave away some of his strategy beforehand. Roach predicted that this would go the distance and he was right. Most annoying moment was when Jim Rome kept saying BANG BANG BANG BANG.

  • Yeah, the bang bang bang was annoying. I also remember Jim and Emmauel Stewart arguing too.

  • Clottey looks so much bigger than Manny. It look kinda strange that he ywas on a survival mode from the first round because Manny is so small ..lol..

    Anyway good analysis!

  • im very disapointed in clottey he never wanted to exchange and when he did throw i was actualy cherring i wanted him to exchange... *sigh*

  • clottey just wasnt hungry enough... he didnt wanna take any chances..... he was lookin good though when he would punch....

  • Very good comments. I do think Clottey was ruluctant to exchange with Manny coz everytime he opened up, he got hit in face. I agree, if you want the title, you gotta take it from the man, but Clottey decided he just want to save himself from getting koed in front of 52,000 people.

  • Ur right on the money mhen....

  • The best post fight comment so far.
