Just downloaded Monkey Island 1 and 2 special edition with steam website.....all the memories flooding back with the class gameplay and music...not to mention a good pirate yarn or two..i might actually finish them this time too..lol At least i don't have to rely on an emulater like scummvm or dosbox which was a pain to use for the uninitiated in computer land....only cost 14 euros altogether to d/load too...not bad..it'll keep me out of the pub anyways, where i'll save a lot more

The thing I liked from the game most was the "last fight" against lechuck. The thing I hated most was to realise the map was worthless, since you were bombed there :(

I downloaded CamStudio and recorded a part of monkey island, but when I go to wtch it theres no sound! please help!

I haven't used it in ages but there's a bit where you can control what sound is being recorded. Make sure it's set to 'record sound from speakers'. Also find cursor options and turn the cursor off because the mistake I made was leaving it on.

I was using it on my laptop so that might be the reason why, cause when I changed the sound config th said something like "connection faliled".

horrible midi sounds. Amiga version or later rereleases with cd audio are the only acceptable alternative (or at least original pc version played on a pro soundcard)

Yep, I knew that from days after I posted, I actually got a video of Monkey Island 1 and 2 on Amiga (I don't play Amiga, I play this version) and seeing I knew how to get it, in fact, I knew where it was, but I didn't know exactly where it was. Guybrush wasnt in another dimension, he was under LeChuck's spell - he tells Guybrush this in Monkey Island 3, then turns him into a child AGAIN to stop him from saving Elaine.

I remember playing this a couple of years ago and I as the credits was rolling, I was just creeped out of confusion.

What happens is only that guybrush is sent to another dimension by lechuck, although it is quite odd why he tells guybrush that they are brothers.
