@JordoBep Still really expensive though. The base 15 inch is still way too much at $1800. With the old lackluster resolution, no USB 3, and only 512 mb graphics memory. Im going to stick with my iMac a little while longer lol.

These specs on a new macbook pro costs: 2449$. My PC has a 4.3GHz i5(mac is 2.5, closest to 2.8GHz on the new 15 inch.), 8GB of 1600MHz RAM (mac has 6GB 1333) 7200RPM 1TB HD (Mac has a 750MB 5400RPM) My PC cost: 2250$ and keep in mind that i live in norway, where shit is more expensive.

@ADTR513 Both the models have a SuperDrive (DVD Player) and the same FaceTime HD camera, so I highly suggest you go with the 13" version, unless you really need the processing power of the quad core :). Save the cash ;)

An iMac would be good for home use, I would never purchase one myself, it's a little more powerful than the Macbook Pro, however, the Macbook Pro does NOT fall that short of the iMac, and it also is portable, so if you need to take it places, Macbook Pro, if you want it SAT at home on a desk, iMac.

All in all its just a more performance oriented machine. The macbook pro, is just an aluminum version of the macbook with a little higher price tag to pay for the aluminum unibody (not to say that theres anything wrong with mac book)

@TheCosplayProfessor 15'' is the best to go man. it's the perfect size for productivity with work or school and for entertainment. when i do get one, i'll be so ready to take on my day. if you can, i would try to wait a little longer on buying one because of the upcoming mac os x lion in 2011. it's very likely that when lion comes out, we can expect the next gen macbook pro. hopefully we can expect lion and a new macbook pro by summer 2011 where apple can take advantage of back-to-school season.
