If that's actually a real Fender the bass player is playing, this can't be 1962, since block markers didn't appear on Fender basses until 1966. It looks like he's taken the neck from a 1966 or later Fender Jazz Bass and put in on a Fender Precision body of indeterminate age. That neck/body combination was common back then.

As far as technique goes, I can't say but really, the way she moved or "something" DID remind me of Hendrix. This is a show for rhythm and blues from the mid-sixties in Dallas, Texas with a white host. I can't remember the name but I have seen other performances from it and I think it is on dvd. I saw it at the Texas Music History Museum in Hillsboro, Texas. Really cool show, considering that Gatemouth Brown was the band leader.
