Very nice adaptation. I am an English professor who uses this Hemingway story as an example of subtext in dialogue, and I think you've found a creative way of telling the story and balancing the anachronisms of the period with a modern sensibility. The female actor is particularly good in conveying her subtext. Good job!

this is good stuff!- I like your choices.. I think it needed a little more empty space though with less dialogue perhaps? It just seems like there was more time in the script maybe more empty awkward silences

Im Gegensatz zu typisch deutschen Filmemachern, die dieses oder ähnliche Themen wahrscheinlich mittels laienhaften „Naturalismus der dann das „Problem unübersehbar darstellen müsste und dieses wie immer mit dem typisch deutschen Problem-Sendungsbewusstsein, der hier seit den 80ern eingesetzt wird, "umsetzen" würden!!

Auch die Schauspieler sind hervorragend, die man für solche kleinen Projekte mit ihrer Professionalität auch nur in Hollywood findet..

Die bewusste Kameraführung mit den Nahaufnahmen, die den Zuschauer für die Stimmung sensibilisiert und sie im Dialog und in der Stimmung mitnimmt, ist hervorragend um sie im Sinne von Hamingway „zwischen den Zeilen" lesen zu lassen! .........

Diese Kurzgeschichte von Hemingway ist nicht gerade einfache „Kost und zeigt wie man diesen Stoff mit ästhetischem und professionellem Anspruch, trotzdem sensibel und bravourös umsetzen kann

ohne dabei den Stil von Hamingway auch - Das bewusste weg lassen- zu ignorieren, sondern einsetzen kann.

Selbst die trockene Hitze an diesem Tag, die Hemingway auch in dieser Kurzgeschichte beschreibt, ist zu fühlen!

Der hergestellte Spannungsbogen ist bemerkenswert und hervorragend hergestellt!
