  • It might be different with the exhaust going through the outdrive

  • patd2345

I have not had one problem with putting it in drive with it up. done it many times

  • Wee little 302. Haha, j/k sounds great! How well does that keep up with the 350s? We've got the 350, and it's good for atleast 53MPH in the 20' Horizon

  • @cobrawannabe 47mph in my four winns 190 horizon LE with the v8 5.o HO, thats with a 3 blade aluminum prop (14 1/4 x 21) can get up to about 50 with a 4 blade stainless

  • The outdrive up reving wount hurt it you can put i in drive with it up also.. do it all the time Dumbshits

  • Not really buddy. You still got the Gimbal Bearing and U-Joints spinning, doesn't matter wether it's in drive or not. Actually, you really won't do much more damage putting it in gear. Only adds a (VERY SMALL) load to the components.

  • Ouch! not good

  • some people jsut dont know anyhting about boats, you SHOULD to have the lower unit all the way the water will drain out better too, try and put it in gear with it in the trailer position, the thing will shread into many pecies

  • it should be fine if the trailer was the correct size

  • Uh, I can only imagine what that gimble bearing looks like after revving that motor with the drive in the trailer position.
