It sucks however that Mr. Michael Bay (and those involved) felt Welker's voice wasn't quite "suitable" for Megatron's design for the "films"...so they went with Hugo Weaving (who's an awesome actor in his own right). They did atleast use him for the Transformer video games.

Gary and David are great too, it's really hard to say who's better because all 4 of them have their own style...example, Kaye's Megatron is FAR more devious, scheming, evil and darker sounding then Welker's which sounds more mad, crazy. Gary's Primal sounds like a decendent of Cullen's

Really? I always thought that David Kaye's Megatron was more along the lines of an intelligent, cunning, and ambitious mastermind than evil and darker. David Kaye's Megatron was more like a military leader or a corrupt politician or an evil dictator. Corey Burton's Megatron is the one that sounds more devious, evil, and darker. Corey Burton's Megatron is sinister, brutal, ruthless, and a nearly unstoppable tyrant.

I mean if you look at the older shows, it was always 50/50 or Optimus wins often...the BW/BM saga, Kaye's Megatron would win or give Primal a harder time at least IMO BTW, when I say devious, I mean voice wise. Kaye's Megatron easily had the deepest, darkest voice out of all megatron's.

I've been a Transformers fan since the very beginning, and still just as proud of a fan today. It's as if the entire Transformers Universe has come full circle. No one, and I mean no one, can portray Optimus Prime the way Mr. Cullen has. The very same can be said for Mr. Welker as it relates to Megatron. They make you believe in each respective character, and what they each stand for.

I like how Frank Welker is giving Megatron a slightly more realistic feel to the voice whilst at the same time being slightly alike to his G1 voice.

I think it's right that Frank tones down his legendary Megatron voice, his older, more whiny voice was hilarious, but by now I don't think Frank's vocal chords could take doing it on a regular basis - plus, it makes his screams all the better when they come. :D

@thaloudest Welker was in Revange of the Fallen, he played Soundwave and did some grunts for the helicopter in the forest fight and Devastator. He also was asked to play Megaton in the first flim but the voice he was going to use was too soft, and asking him to use another would of gone against haveing him in the film.

Yeah, no kidding. It's always nice to hear Frank as Megatron and it's good to see him coming back to voice Megatron for this. It's also very likely that he'll be coming back to reprise voicing Soundwave for TF3 since it's been confirmed that he'll be coming back. Speaking of David Kaye and Corey Burton, here's hoping that Corey Burton will be brought in to voice Shockwave for TF3 (who has been confirmed by the way) and that David Kaye will be given a role for TF3. He's earned it.
