He is telling you a fib i the video. He states that "you need MyQsl, to run Sam & ShoutCast". That's not entirely true. You need it only for Sam, not for ShoutCast. I use Winamp, with my ShoutCast and don't need MyQsl, at all. Also, in the config file you may want to set the "Maxusers" to lower than 33, depending on your bandwith. You can get ShoutCast at: shoutcast [dot] com/broadcast-tools

I have a issue error's when installing the SAM broadcaster these are:

Error> Error creating tables.

Error> You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 9(Error on line 8)

then later on at

Error> Error inserting data.

Error> Table 'samdb.category' doesn't exist(Error on line 0)

i've installed everything exactly as the vid. but when I run SHOUTcast it comes with errors like, No ban file found(sc_serv.ban) and No rip file found(sc_serv.rip). and then error opening source socket it says the port is already used..

use winamp! its free than SAM and much much easier! then use listen2myradio. com to broadcast out to the public! itz free and easy!

@FawxNewbz Depending on what kind of host your using you can stream for an infinite amount of time. But that really depends on who hosts it. Free hosts might disconnect you after a while.

Hi, I did my ports and stuff, but it comes up with SAM:

"St...ErrorDisconnected (10054)"

Then it changes to:

"St...ErrorInvalid server password"

Can you please help thanks.

@newalexman1212 Well, I guess the server password is wrong then, try checking that first. If that doesn't help, make sure you are using the right encoders, some servers only support a specific encoder.

Be sure to have administrator access to the computer when doing "net start mysql".

As for the error, I have no idea what the problem could be...

when i type "net start mysql" in the command prompt a system error comes up saying access denied. How do i fix this?

@TheAsa122 Easy to fix, Run notepad or wordpad in administrator mode, then it should work.
