I think it would behoove YouTube to feature new people (both new, and random people) because it might gain them popularity which would feed into their ad-revenue. But as with anything, this is a business and YouTube is really only going to promote those people who directly make them money. As far as "first come, first serve" I think it's a valid idea -- they had to build up their subscriber base the old way (ie. with content), and most did it before they could monetize it.
I agree as well like shanedawson he posted a interactive video and make all of them in different categories so it had some of his interactive things like part 2 right part 2 wrong and each one of these went even unlisted they all started and it showed up 2 of each one of his videos in each category it was annoying and about the imagine the views difference I get around 50-100 and for minecraft views from 100+ minecraft mod tutorials like 1k+ and then only 91 Subscribers on main channel modernas
I agree, the same people every week on the front page, that are living large. I do a weekly vlog on politics and recently got over a 1,000 views on a video, but I'll never end up on the front page, no matter how hard I try.
