@FishingwithKT - come on now tristan! you should know the answer to this! regardless of what the running riggers say...... heavy leads are where its at! - I use 4.5 in still waters during spring and fall, in the dead heat of summer, its floats all the way!
Thanks for a great video.I am formerly from South Africa been in Canada for 3 years,and still learning how things work What bait did you use and what time of year do you fish for carp.
i fished the St. Lawrence on the US side at Burham point state park. over a weekend in early august got 3 all over 20lbs. and i cant wait until next year. :)
My best morning on this stretch of the river produced 14 carp in 4 hours. The biggest was 28-lbs, no real monsters, but with a fantastic average weight pushing 20-lbs.
@Carpzilla42 thats great. my best day produced 32 fish in like 7 hours. 28 lbs is good for me. the carp dont get to big where i live unlike the st. lawrence my pb is only 20. 20 lbs for an average is amazing i would take that any day!!! :)
impact rep? conveniently placed bags of baits! regardless, cool

Great Video! Just wondering what ounce lead you use. Cheers.

@FishingwithKT
I usually run 4.5oz leads there due to the current. Sometime that's not even enough and you can feel the lead skipping along the bottom.

Try corn and boilies. Carp fishing is best from mid-May to the end of June, but I fish for them right through until November.
