This movie is a wonderful time capsule of a wonderful era in pop music. In the US, this DVD is available as "Go Go Mania." Unfortunately, it isn't in widescreen format. The girl at 1:36 is the same one that appears at the end of the "Mary's Prayer" video, by Danny Wilson.
remember 1964 very well miss the am stations playing the hits back then loved when during nighttime hours could listen to stations hundreds of miles away the beatles were the most amazing band ever and lennon/mc cartney as songwriters are the greatest thanks for all the music from very talented artists from the uk
@CrankCase08 If you mean the intro/outro guitar part on 'Little Children' t then they achieved that with a piano and guitar playing in unison (a favourite trick of 60's record producers but in particular George Martin).
I love this movie! Why oh why oh why hasn't a company like Rhino re-released this classic on DVD?! I have a bootleg DVD copy and everyone I've ever shown this film to has absolutely loved it.
Way back then I remember there were 2 different movies that were purely performances of one British group after another. I've always wanted to view those again, but I've never remembered the names of the movies. I don't know if this is one of them, but it is certainly similar. If I watch enough of these clips I might discover it is one of them! Thanks, a lot, nyrainbow2!
It would have been a great time for a guy who even remotely looked like one of the Beatles to get into the panties of one of those young women in the audience. (Of course now all of those young women, in their later teens, not the 11 year olds, would be say in their 60's). Why was I born as late as 1963?
I wonder if there is a book like "What Ever Happened To..." that covers all the early British Invasion groups. I'd love to know what happened to all of them.
I dunno, kev, at the time (I was there) the Beatles were Gods. Look at the audience. I doubt you could say to any of them "This band is over-rated," and get outa there in one piece...
Very true. I was just a 6 yr old and my sister 16. Now she's in her 60s and me in my 50s. I recall going to the cinema in '64 to see A Hard Day's Night. The atmosphere was much like this - screaming all around. Great memories!!!!
@spunkiedied What was it about my post that made you think I'm a rapper? I was just feeling wistful about all the cute girls I knew back then who are probably grandmas now.
Bull. The Beatles are without a doubt greatest band to ever play Rock n' Roll. They're not over-rated. Everyone loves them because they were so damn good.
nyrainbow2 good video's suprised the Hollies not on 1-8 She Loves You the Beatles harmony not good. The Hollies and Graham Nash were super at harmony better than fab 4 but Lennon and McCartney good song writters
I saw this when i was a kid on amc and since then haven't heard about it in forever, i forgot the name of it and couldnt figure out what it was called.
And here it is! Pop Gear! Thank so much for posting this, it brings back memories :)
I was hoping to see the Original Opening + Closing Credits , to see how They differed from the American Prints of This Film (released in the U.S. as "Go-Go Mania")
The film of the Beatles is from 1963. Too bad they could not have gotten a "current" item for the film.

I know that it's not, but the guy in the tan/brown jacket at 1:54 really reminds me of Roger Daltrey.

The saddest part of the Beatles live performance is reminding oneself that all the cute girls in the audience are in their mid- to late 60s now.
