  • AI in Crysis is just to high

The easiest difficulty in crysis equals to the veteran difficulty in MW2

And i can't even use any other powers except the Increasing Armor

  • You would think the nanosuit would allow increased intelligence too. *Maximum Intelligence.* "So we just move all these tanks around this rock and blow them away!!" "Well thought son..."

  • PRO

  • 5:58 - 6:00 PRETTY COOL

  • THE FUCKING KOREANS THAT SPEAK IN THE GAME CANT SAY SHIT THEIR ACCENT IS LIKE SAYING DUUUUUAAAAAWWEEEE INSTEAD OF DIE! IN ENGLISH>

  • @joe117pwn really!?

  • i usually prefer the predator approach ....cloak then pick em of 1 by 1 ...or just nade em all if they're clumped up in a hut

  • very nice video....and running very well

  • I have a question.

At the moment I have an Nvidia 9800gt 1GB DDR3 card, would it be better for me to upgrade my mother board and run x2 of these cards. Or getting a Dx11 DDR5 card?

    Many thanks for any help.

  • When I run Crysis in DX9 I can use Very high settings why's this? :\

  • this is a game very easy to pass (: I passed in 4 hours in hard mode

  • i finished crysis warhead on normal, hard, and delta ! :D

  • @mumbomum How about no anyways; just lol you're a retard anyway

  • @mumbomum And game developers say that they don't care much for the PC market because everyone steals their product. ...hrm.

  • lol

  • I cant believe that on very high graphics settings with DX10 this game has better graphics than many of the games from this year. I cant wait for crysis 2, its gonna be amazing.

  • @MillardFillm0re it's only the environtment graphics thought not like weapons and chracters though but yes crysis 2 :D

  • @MillardFillm0re it's better than every game this year o_O

unless you can point out a game that looks better than crysis :O I know there are some close calls but they don't show off outdoor scenery.. I know just cause 2 comes close but even that looks worse than crysis

truly amazing, is what crysis is.

  • @super6plx battle field bad company 2 definitely trumps crysis by a small amount.

  • @MillardFillm0re are you kidding? it definitely does not! :O

the only game I have ever seen that comes close is ArmA 2, the visuals (especially when looking up in the sky at a helicopter or something) are amazing

but, even that doesn't beat crysis.

  • @MillardFillm0re ---I changed my mind, when it comes to close quarters combat with dust and non-vegetation (areas with no grass or trees etc like the new desert map similar to the original oasis map) it does definitely beat crysis... however it still does not have the open all-round realism adaptable to any scenery.. there are only a set amount of landscapes that it pulls off

  • it isnt play on PC, is it

  • lol i have 4G ram But grapics card ok and prosseers kinda crap so i can only play it on low Grapics in still looks good ON LOW relly relly good to se it on high thank for the video RELLY LOOKING GOOD

  • you do that graphic card use?

  • i was thinking the same thing.

  • Comment removed

  • wait do your graphics come from the motherboard like the nforce im confused:s

  • to the real players of crysis when u aim with a scope go to sthrengh mode and hold shift when u shoot hes hloding his breath

  • may I just say

I have checked resource usage while playing, none of them go above 50%, except the ram quantity, of which about 2.4 is used

leaving performance monitor on then playing for a while at <30 fps then going back and checking, cpu was below 50%, ram "hard faults" was low - everything. Except I can't check the gpu, oddly ppl with an 8600GT get better fps than me. I blame my motherboard ;) google p5n-t deluxe review

  • do u kno if my computer will work on very high it has 6Gb of ram @ 2.4Ghz and nvidia geforce 9500GS with quad core?

  • It wont handle it on Very High. But you will probably handle it with most everything on High and No Anti Ailiesing. IDK though you would half to test and see.

  • Actualy the 9500 will handle it with everything on High settings. Not very High. With a good video resolution. No anti ailiesing. Preatty good card.

  • why dnt u just try u dumb assss

  • @mumbomum some people aren't as ignorant as you, so they like to find out if it will even run on their system before they buy it.

  • graphics card wont do for very high

  • last time I checked it takes closer to twenty shots to kill people on Delta, not two... this guy is definitely not playing on "Delta"

  • it's called "headshot".

  • 2:23... he never even hit their head. clearly shooting at his gut and took about two shots.

  • the one at 2:20 is even more clear... never even got close to the head

  • there are 3 ways to tell whether or not the player in question is playing delta:

    1. no cross-hair

    2. Korean voice

    3. if you pay attention to his health, you may notice that he came close to dying numerous times

  • the graphic dont look so good how i think (yeah i know 2007) but graphic dont impress me, games like killzone 2 and uncharted 2 makes me say OMG

  • well crysis is ALOT better looking than kz2 and uncharted 2

  • sorry kid im not impressed, poor scar ammo conservation and weak stealth skills, you should be able to do that on delta without being spotted or alerting anyone.

  • for some reason i can't get textures to very high with the dx9 hack. could i get some advice?

yet on low i get 30 fps and on very high about 28 , AA 16x makes about 3-5 fps difference on every resolution - windowed or not

im working on your tweaks now, thanks

don't know what to do about my specific sli situation though :(

  • you have vsync on which stops screen tearing but puts a limit to your fps.. that is why the framerates are so alike

  • no, i certainly don't have vsync on.

btw, I tried with an xfx 4890 black edition and still got the same frame rate, theres some odd bottleneck in my machine :(

  • well it could be your cpu because the first crysis doesnt have very good support for quad core and your ghz is pretty low.. you should try overclocking it to 3.0 ghz and then try how it goes (or higher if you can manage)

  • Overclocking doesn't help you main performance, If your CPU's not handling the game Buy a better one. Overclocking wont help you much.

  • lol did you check out my profile and looked this up? also.. if ur cpu is bottlenecking you then overclocking can help a great deal since games rely mostly on the cpu's speed above anything else... so yes it WILL help you if you overclock your cpu.. you didnt even try to make sense did you?

  • the performance or capacity of an entire system is limited by your factory settings, If you overclock you only open up room for more power, There's not an incredible increase of power only a larger bottle so it doesn't bottleneck and eventually crash your game or slows it down with a few fps, It will not help as much as getting a better CPU. And I ask you this, How long have you been working with computers for you to question a better and simplified advice? Overclocking might be hard for some.

  • its not man.. a 2.4 ghz stock cpu overclocked to 3.2 ghz will be JUST as good as a 3.2 ghz stock cpu and overclocking is not that hard especially with more modern cpu's

  • not really, the cache is important for some tasks.

Essentially if both cpus are core 2 and you clock one up to the same speed as the other's stock and both have the same cache... performance would be about the same.

But whatever, in 99% of cases the gpu is the bottleneck.

For me its my retarded motherboard, if I put my same stuff in a dfi lanparty board and used only 1 gpu it would be considerably better

  • yeah i know about the cache but higher ghz is more important than a bigger cache

  • Depends how big the difference is in both the cache and the core clock (GHz).

A 3.0GHz processor with a 6mb cache would most likely be quite a lot faster than a 3.4GHz processor with a 2mb cache. It's the same story with hard drives. Bigger cache - Better speed.

And as far as bang for buck goes, a bigger cache is usually cheaper than a higher clock speed. But of course, this varies from processor to processor.

  • not true lol.

but anyway, 2.4GHz on a c2 is enough for just about any game on full settings.

the cpu wasnt the issue... I have since tried it at 3.2 and 3.4 with no changes to fps.

  • 2.4 on a c2 for any game? ok let me send you a copy of GTA4 let's see...hmm

  • Whatever, 2.4 would be enough if I had a 295GTX.

Plus, it aint 2.4 anymore, it's 3.2 OC.

The issue is my motherboard, I notice that if I move the mouse around a lot my network packets are held back till I stop using the mouse, some other nForce motherboards have similar odd problems.

  • You said 2.4 Ghz on a "C2" Which I think you were referring to a CORE 2 DUO which fails miserably at GTA since there's awful alot of rendering in the highest mode...

  • You keep commenting on my posts but havnt read the ones back when I started the whole conversation. It is a q6600, not a c2 duo. plus "rendering" is not done by the cpu - fair enough the cpu has to prepare draw calls and do other calculations do decide what to render and where to render it, along with AI and many other things, that is still nothing for it to handle; in a properly ported game. The fact is gta4 requires over 1GB of video memory - or so it seems. Without that; cpu is not an issue

  • Bozebo: but anyway, 2.4GHz on a c2 is enough for just about any game on full settings.

  • and?

  • Your wrong.....

  • about?

  • ok but that is not enough for any game man.. you should leave it at 3.0 ghz for the future..

  • Ok people!

Quit asking the questions, if you pass the following specs, you CAN run it!

Intel Core2 (duo or quad core, either is fine)

    2.4 + GHz

AMD? (Sorry I use Intel ever since)

2 GB ram (Crysis alone itself can run less/over 1GB, rest is windows programs)

Needs atleast 60-160GB HDD (7200rpm recommended)

GeForce series 8/ATi series 2000 (recommend 2600 and higher)

    128-bit to 256-bit

Core clock needs to be over 500, shaders should approximately over 1000.

  • Just to add on to these words of wisdom, you need at least AMD Athlon XP to run it (I hate Intel :(

  • Thanks for your tips in TweakGuides!

  • ok will this run crysis high: Cpu intel core 2 duo @ 3.00

    4GB ddr2/800

    nivida 9500gt 1GB

OS: windows vista home premium 64bit service pack 1

  • with some tweaking I think you could get that rig to run crysis on high at a smooth playable framerate

  • would this run crysis good? [My specs] 1 gb 9900 vid card 4GB of gamer ram a tri core at 3.03 GHz 500 GB HDD 7200 rpm surround sound Game mouse Lycosa keyboard xFire custom speed wiring and a awesome pc mechanic to blance it out :D and if so on what quality?
  • no such thing has a 9900 unless you mean ATI, but the ATI 9900 sucks, tri cores are pathetic, better getting a higher clock duel core like a E8400

  • Your settings should be -Shadows at medium +higher -Water at medium +higher -Physics at High -Shaders at very high (you don't want a shitty looking gun do you?) -Objects at very high (unless high if you don't care about boxes/sandbags lol) -Particles at high or medium -Postprocessing medium +higher The rest is on your own for your entertaining needs. Have fun, anyone lower than these specs, try 1 setting lower with what I've said. -user of a 260GTX
  • Will Crysis run on this---Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66GHz, 2GB DDR2, 250GB SATA II HDD, DVDRW Dual Layer, NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT, Gigabit LAN, G31M3-F, Windows XP Professional

  • ye u should be cool on medium setting (1024x768) ..will still look pretty good

  • lol yes... you have a better setup than this guy, although hes tweaked his

  • You should be fine, but if you want Very High you'll have to do some tweaking.

  • i have the same computer, which i did a review on playing crysis

check it out in my videos

  • This game has amazing graphics, but ya, I hate when you run programs like FRAPS, it just likes to kill your game.

  • to access very high graphic in crysis you most download program for dx9 to unlock stuff for dx10

  • Man playing on delta is soo much more fun ^^

  • ohh pleazzzzzzzzzzzzze help me man... how the hell can i get the graphics on very high???

  • He DID post a link to his Tweak guide which tells you how to access the Very High setting in XP on DX9c.

  • or you can just google crysis very high patch, download the cvr's and overwrite your old ones, then change graphics to High, and it will use your custom ones which enable Very High

  • Apparental, on delta difficulty, KPAs speak korean in combat. That is cool!

  • Also on delta combat not only does the KPA speak korean, there is no scope or grenade warnings either, so you constantly have to be on the move and know your surroundings, also its good to have a escape route when your sniping. Cuz Delta difficulty is no joke, its hard.

  • the game is hard overall but not impossible, if you can play easy you can play medium, if you can play hard then you can play delta

in other words it needs to be easier on easy and harder on harder...

  • @filmsandcameras its a cheat

  • lol y dun u play hide and seek with em?

    turn invisisble then BAM!

  • I had a 8600GT and got 30fps average on High/1024x768.

  • yeh right lmao

  • Oh, really? There is something wrong with that? Let me tell you first, my good sir:

-My PC as well as completely optimized by TGTC

-My 8600GT was extremely overclocked, and my AMD Athlon 6000+ was running overclocked to 3.2GHZ

-Crysis was also tweaked with the appropiate settings, the ones that don't reduce graphical quality at all.

-Remember this is HIGH, not Very High and 1024x768.

  • because you just dont. not at 30fps anywayz.

on a quad core system with 4 gb of ram a 8800gt would struggle at that res and settings.

And Yes i DO have an 8600gt i can only really run it at low or i get under 20fps.

  • I have an ASUS 8800GT with my E2200 at 2.7ghz, and 1024x768 on DX9 High is a joke for an 8800GT. 1440x900 "Cheap" Very High is where I get 30fps with the 8800GT>

You failed to attack several points:

*The 8600GT was heavily overclocked, 800/950

*4GB RAM gains like 1FPS, but it reduces stuttering and loading times

*The OS was tweaked just for gaming

*Crysis barely has proper support for dual-core, so quad-core, bah.

The 8800GT can handle 1024x768 like a joke.

  • 800/950? im assuming u mean Core/Memory?

  • To address the other points.

My Windows 2003 is Tweaked Beyond Gaming. im using 13 Processes and the Whole OS is using less than 40mb ram.

Crysis has better support for Quad Core than dual core.

  • Open Crysis in Windowed Mode and Open Task Manager.

A game that really utilizes Dual-Core technology will be using 100% on both cores (I.E Mass Effect)

Also - my Windows XP SP3 was 60MB ram and 12 processes with a Windows folder size of 200MB and a registry size of 24MB

Anyways, tweaking that heavily gains like 1fps - seriously.

What's your GPU overclock? I gained 15fps from overclocking the 8600GT.

  • Crysis dosent use 100% from ANY processor anyway....

You still didnt answer my question, Your GPU overclock was that Core/Memory?

  • Yes, Core/Memory, Shaders were linked. Since you split it into two comments I didn't see that one.

Also, if a game is really 100% optimized for dual-core it will use 100% of both cores.

"Crysis dosent use 100% from ANY processor anyway...."

^ I need screens with a single core.

  • it will run on a single core but will lag when environments are being destroyed :)

  • I too have an 8600 and I run it on high on most settings but on shaders its medium lag only when invis scoping and up close battles and that lag is minimal at best.

  • :(

video it and have fraps running and then i will be happy.

  • He is *NOT* using x2AA.

EdgeAA on 2 is *much* difference, more of like a blur, but not as bad as some mother ones that are just a blur.

He is not using a 8600GT

  • crysis+aa sux lol :P

    Nice vid!

  • nope if you use it right :P

  • Some people don't know about the Sniper Scope x_x

  • why texture streaming disabled?

  • Very nice video. However this video made me think a little. Im running my Crysis at very high, with the Nvidia Geforce 9800 gx2 Zotac, and 650 w. 3.2 ghz and 4 gb ram. The graphics card is the best atm in the shops. However Im running crysis at an average of 15 FPS, and Im truely not satisfied after by big spends. I AM running Vista basic, which I just found out to have a bad multimedia system, such as for games and stuff. Should I get Vista ultimate? Please reply... thanks :)

  • Actually, the Nvidia 280 is the best graphics card atm.

  • That was an excellent video. I checked out some of the guides on your site as well. I've learned some very important things about subtle to not-so-subtle tweaking that can max out performance. Impressive website. I just bought the guide and reading it "cover to cover." Keep up the great work.

  • taking damage in max strength mode= fucking noob at the game.

  • Yeah, and the video is not to show skill.

  • before letting viewers watch this, he has to explain its in delta difficulty.

i think he was trying to portray his non-existent skills

  • yeye crysis looks good on low too so it doesn't really matter that much

  • Crysis looks horirble on low...

  • Is that why he's getting better fps? What does he have to hide on this issue?

  • Obviously his is more optimized than your setup for this game.

  • Crysis is terrible on 1GB of RAM. I just got done switching to a new case and mobo and one of my 1GB sticks wasn't inserted completely... It was playable and my FPS was generally where it's supposed to be, but the game paused about every 3 seconds or every time I tried to take a shot. And it wasn't just regular hitching, the lag was horrible. Popped my second stick back in and BAM, silky smooth :) I have yet to notice any like differences between 2GB and 4GB though.

  • BS? Fail?

With 1024x768 resolution, 2AA, all Settings on High, I'm running an average 25 fps. Without 2AA, an average 35 fps, which is quite playable. I should also note this is post Crytek Downloadable Patch 1.1 and 1.2.

Don't underestimate the 8600 GT. At 100 USD, its one of the best values out there.

  • wat was ur fps on this before fraps lowered it ??

  • Just a tip for sneaking into the town on this part of the level, try following the cliff on your left all the way from the RADAR station down the hill until just before you get to the waterfall. A couple meters up the hill from the river, there are some rock ledges. Jump up those ledges and you can cross the river just in front of the falls high above the river. From there, continue following the path down the hill and you're in. There is also a very nice sniping position up there as well.

  • That is one the right, if it was on the left you would be underwater.

  • Yeah. You know what I mean. Slight typo. ;)

  • Yeah I know what you mean. Crysis should be all about tactics and stealth. Why waste ammo in a firefight when you can sneak to a hidden position and squeeze off a few silenced rounds? lol. I went through the entire game with my SCAR and never really ran out of ammo. One shot, one kill, FTW :P

  • Bloody hell :D I play games alot, and I've competed many on the highest difficulty, but Crysis is one I can't seem to master :D I can't switch between modes at optimum times, I can't see a truck coming and immediately whip out my gun and kill the driver. In all honesty I think its one of the hardest games to actually learn like a 6th sense. Are you saying you CAN do all that stuff? Because if so, for the love of God tell me how :D Crysis ftw! :D

  • wow nice shooting, got this game but problem is i lagg a bit :( Got all requirements and all are better than what they want but it is my graphics card ;( only geforce 8600

  • Might need more RAM. You can buy another separate 2 GB RAM module for under 35 USD online. I've got an 8600 GT and Crysis runs beautifully on all High with 2xAA. 4 GB RAM can really improve your game.

  • the ram doesnt really help that much from 2 gb to 4 gb unless u wanna play crysis under the 64-bit code

  • lol ram doesnt do much.. its all on the card. 4gig is for 64bits.. caught in a lie huh..

  • you know a very easy way to kill a KPA nanosuit person when they're alone?

    1. Put them to sleep with the tactic atatchment.

    2. Go up to them using a strong weapon (eg. minigun, scar, SMG, guass or shotgun.

    3. Shoot them until they die!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice. The SCAR and the SMG aren't that powerful. The gauss takes 1 shot in the weenee.

  • Yup, thats just a tip to kill KPA nanosuit soldiers.

  • There's also another way to kill KPA nanosuits.

1.Switch to cloak mode and stand next to the nanosuit.

2.Wait until he switch to strength or cloak mode.

3.If you have the gauss, shoot him in the head. When in armor mode,it takes two Gauss shots.

  • Nice Head Shot

  • what res?

  • read the description... it says 1280x1024

  • sry..:P,, nice vid

  • guys, i still didnt understand the thingy with the strengh mode, when i am at strengh mode and i use a WEPEON to kill, it shots become stronger or soem thing ( it drains my energy O: )

  • no but recoil is reduced, and you shake less while zoomed in on a target

  • at 8:13 what did he do to his shotgun

  • he switched the fire mode

  • to what ?

  • to less powerful shots but more accurte ones

  • thanks a lot

  • no problem

  • hey i dont get it where in the world can u find ammo for SCAR? if everyone uses that FLY or whatever it is, can u tell me where can i find ammo for scar plz

  • so far the only place I've found SCAR ammo is under Aztec in the very begining. lol and maybe where Jester is killed too.

  • SHIIIIT!!! The water is just falling out of my moth cause I wished I could play Crysis in that quality!!! BUHUHUHUHU! That would be SOOOOO cool....

But I'm just gone have to wait untill November when It comes to ps3

  • that was a nice shot at 1:02!!!

  • Love how the enemies speak Korean in the harder difficulties. They should have that option on the lower difficulties as i think it is unlikely that North Korean troops would be communicating in English, unless they want to be shot by their political officer. Got to hand it to 'em North Koreans, they just dont know when to quit, still when they discover Tivo, then communism wont be long for this world.

  • Put &fmt=18 at the end of this video's URL, it makes it look 3x better

  • Hmm, good graphics but you didn't seem to use much of your nanosuit powers at the start, good video though.....

  • damn man you got a nice ass computer. i can only keep mine on medium and have the game play at a steady frame rate or not just complete fuck up my computer

  • my game is killing me!!

  • There were too many people for me on this level :P, and the tanks were annoying to kill

  • this like watching porn

  • So good it is creepy.

Can you use a game pad for the PC version? If so, can xbox 360 controller for windows work for this game?

  • yes they work just fine.. idk why you would want it seeing as the keyboard and mouse is far superior

  • cant beat a mouse for FPS, though the joystick is best for movement. I'd draw the line at third person "wall hugger" games like Gears of War where you have more time to take shots, in a run and gun FPS, fast and precise aiming is vital.

  • How do you change the AF level in Cryis? When I look in the options menus I only see the AA setting. Where is AF?

  • I think the commands are:

    d3d9_TextureFilter anisotropic

    r_texmaxanisotropy=# here

Press ` and put it in, theres no AF by default, OR you can force it through nvidia or ATI control panels

  • Nvm, setting d3d9_texturefilter to anisotropic will make quality worse!

  • Oh ok thanks.

  • Would you mind copying + pasting your autoexec or system.cfg file? I've made many that I try, but I'm curious as to see what yours is

  • the graphics are truly amazing, even wind effects are in use. somewhy my computer doesnt let me to use very high settings. maybe it knows that my computer dies if i do it, because even medium graphichs makes the game unplayable.

  • damn it! how can you run the game this smoothly on cheap very high with those specs?!

I'm basically running it on the Monolith from 2001:Odyssey in Space, and even then, it experienced some problems in crowded battle scenes...

maybe I should kill my 3d desktop, my desktop water effects, and other things before starting to play...

  • rippin off a zero punctuation joke eh?

killing your desktop processes won't do anythin
