@rebel119wrestler Another person got no clue how the law works. An emergency vehicle with exception of police is requesting right of way. That is right they are requesting it. If they are involved in accident they usually are found at fault. So yes I would win the lawsuit and no I would go to jail, sorry. A police officer is demanding right of way only because he/she can actually ticket you. So no emergency vehicle would not move out of the way on purpose as that would be an accident.

Regarding red light, if someone other then register owner is driving the vehicle you can use it wasn't me driving and ticket dismissed. You're not required to tell the court/cops who is driving the vehicle. Also with red light camera they have picture of the driver, an ambulance/fire truck only got your tag. Regarding accident, being that emergency vehicle is requesting right of way, in accident they usually found at fault...

@ylen13 actually theres where your wrong, most accidents involving emergency vehicle is usually the other persons fualt cus they fail to yeld and the person driving the emergency vehicles are usually pretty good drivers cus have special training and if you do hit an emergency vehicle then the blame will be on you for failing to yeld to an emergency vehicle, like i said before, go ask a police officer and they will tell you the same thing

I been in this type of accident, i had green light and emergency ambulance was found at fault for failure to clear intersection before proceeding(i hit it. So it makes no difference if they are very good driver or not they are required to make sure intersection is clear before proceeding.

If they do and accident happens they are at fault. It's just the way it works. I am in the insurance industry and know how the law works.

@ylen13 The reason they are found at fault is they are required to clear an intersection before entering. It makes no difference that they are going code 3 lights and siren, they are still required to pass an intersection, driving down the street carefully. Ask any officer if you think i am wrong.

Ich habe solche Sirnen live erlebt. Sie sind um ein x-faches lauter als unsere und viel viel besser wahrnehmbar. Und dazu noch die Lichteranlage und alles wäre perfekt:)
