I wonder how Xtrema ceramic cookware would handle this cooking method. It's supposed to be able to handle heat that will melt an aluminum pan. In fact one youtube video show them melting an aluminum pan in an Xtrema ceramic pan. But I am interested since I thought it would be nice to do all my cooking with the sun thru a fresnel lens.

this is the answer to high electric rates. what we need is banks of these lenses aimed at high efficiency soler cells all around the world but its being done already, but id put a rig like that in my yard, free power thanks mother nature lol.
no what we need is these lenses being aimed at high efficiency Stirling engines that produce electricity when they are needed and HHO gas when not in use.
now thats an idea you could hook one of those sterling engines to a generator and if you have ebough power you can get a powerful enough Genny you could pump out some serious juice. the problem is at night when theres no sun you would need some type of high power storage system sort of like a battery but for AC. maybe this coupled with geothermal.

Put it on a pressure cooker pot and you will have steam turbine power generator. Water to vapor expands 1800x in mass, could power an automobile.

You should pee on it

Create a mirror system so the pan heats up from the bottom, then you can cook something, ,

Will adding another lens double the temperature?
jeromeT1020 1 year ago
adding a second lens will make the ray larger and affect a wider area of the skillet.

You can't aim a fresnel at a solar cell, it would shatter/melt in about 2 seconds
dama0023 2 years ago 7
@dama0023 You don't have to put the solar cell in the focus point. the further away from the focus the less likely you will damage the solar cell

Good way to shatter a cast iron stove into pieces and REALLY hurt yourself.
