  • hatteras is the place to be in NC for surfers and wrightsville gets pretty good too good enough that CJ hobgood gave up a session at teheapoo to surf hatteras during hurricane season

  • you guys are definitely lucky to be alive. Rip currents are not a joking matter. As a trained life guard i know that surfers are very idiodic. I have spent four years lifeguarding at the local public pool and i would never go in the ocean with those conditions. I only surf when the waves are under three feet. I would not risk damaging my liquid shredder in those massive waves. As i said before you are lucky to be alive.

  • you my friend are a pussy.. sounds good to me , when its nice size just stay on the beach.

  • anyone who thinks this guy is serious is retarded. I think he's funny!

  • I do know something about surfing and being safe is my number job when you do anything in the ocean and during a hurricane is just plain stupid. Rip Currents kill more people in the ocean. They are silent killer and Cape Hatteras at the point and near the jetty is the worse areas on the island. Cool video.

  • rip currents dont kill people, people kill people

  • Are you guys crazy with all the rip currents that happen on that beach especially during a hurricane or nor'eater you are very lucky to be alive. Rip Currents and the rough seas could kill you in seconds and you need to have more repect for your lives and for the very powerful forces of the ocean.

  • jebradbury75, you are retarded and don't know anything about surfing. alot of surfers try and get caught in rips on purpose to get out to the waves easier. also, a rip current can't kill you in seconds especially if you're strapped to a 6 foot long flotation device. and there is not a single surfer in the world that doesn't respect the power of the ocean so shut it.

  • I love all these videos! My sister, from Idaho and i were down there last year, 2007. I took movies of everything we did... but the camera with the tape in it was stolen! Would love to see some videos of the Mustangs on here. I loved it down there and plan on bringing my hubby down soon if we can find a place to stay we can afford.

  • im going here for vacation!

  • 1:20 to 1:35 is a sick ride bro

  • Wow, I've never seen waves like that at Cape Hatteras before... it looks like a different beach during a storm! I miss it so much.

  • sick sick sick, i love hurricane season -n- were the tunes by Valient Thorr...

  • you have my respect.. you surf really good in big swells

  • The following Sunday wasn't as big but blowing hard from the NE. S-Turns was going off....I can't imagine how the Light looked.

  • o man u dident get the one crazy barrel. good stuff though

  • Nice swells boys and nice riding !! Some big, gnarly waves !!! Thanks for sharing

  • pretty sweet

  • thats some really heavy east coast surf.

  • yeah. both days were crazy. i finally found out the atlantic ocean isn't always a LAKE. but sunday we tried to take out a two man kayak and got destroyed. and the water wasn't that cold either which was good. my 3:2 was fine.

  • I live about 2 hours away from there.

  • yeah bro!! was that saturday??? i went out, had to jump off the pier just to get out. broke 1 board. luckily it was my beater. heres to hatteras.

  • This was taken Sunday, but both days were mental.

  • Dude....What a ride...Reminds me of when Hurricane Olivia..or was it Ophelia?...Anyways, it was a hurricane that started with an O, and it was near Rhode Island. I think it was in 2005. It was the day before my birthday, and I was thanking God that he was blessing me with that kind of surf. *drools from awesome wave memories*

Anyways, this is some crazy stuff you've got in this video. I wish I could surf that well.

  • OMG WOW!! that storm wasnt bad at all. nice skills u got

  • Holy SHIT! What a ride! These guys must have been screaming all the way through those waves!

  • yeah i live down there. the waves were pretty gnarly! this one guy just started to paddle out and a wave toppled him and broke his board in half. lets just say he was not stoked at all!
