  • "Patriotism in its simplest, clearest, and most indubitable signification is nothing else but a means of obtaining for the rulers their ambitions and covetous desires, and for the ruled the abdication of human dignity, reason, and conscience, and a slavish enthralment to those in power. And as such it is recommended wherever it is preached." Leo Tolstoy

  • @arseniyonline1234555 great quote. yes, patriotism also alienates peoples from eachother...nation from nation, which is symbolic of discrimination on all levels down to siblings and neighbors from each other. however, such a stigma makes way also for some interesting dynamics. thus, the idealization of and striving for any stainless human dynamic will inevitably backfire, and it's good that it will!

  • sounds like the narrator is alexander scourby he acted in the wanted dead or alive episode the hostage
