  • in Discovery Extreme Survival Pack, the episode Escape from the Amazon, describes how to make an A-Frame shelter without these tools. WITHOUT THEM. check it out.

  • How dare you diss Tom Hanks. He survived four years on an imaginary island talking to a volleyball and I tip my hat to him.

  • If you want to learn techniques like this and others, go camping with all the comforts and try things while you're out there. That way you get experience and learn in a no pressure situation. Don't just go out with a pocket kit and try crap you see on survival shows, that's a surefire way to get hurt or worse. Common sense saves lives.

  • you are good:]

  • wow Ive never found a plastic sheet in the woods before he was lucky HELLO!! SURVIVAL YOU WOULDNT HAVE A PLASTIC FUCKING SHEET MAKE A SHELTER OUT OF WOOD BRANCHES AND LEAVES LIKE BEAR GRYLLS awesome English BORN SURVIVOR

  • @MrXXMW2LOVERXx Is that the same bear that got busted sleeping in 4 star hotels with room service at night during the shooting of his show?.Then he would climb back into his "survival" shelter in the morning and start filming like he slept there all night. Bear is a fake. Research him. FAKE!

  • @MrXXMW2LOVERXxThis guys an Air Force S.E.R.E. Instructor. Bear does so many very stupid things during his show. If he dies, thats one thing. But the sad thing is, retards like you try to copy the things he does and could end up hurt or dead. Watch all of the stupid things he does during the show. In a real life or death survival situation you would never take so many chances. (Jumping off water falls, drinking water from elephant crap, running down hills, etc) One thing goes wrong and its over.

  • @567hook true but ive done things like him for yrs know!! honest no injuries apart from broke my foot

  • is that knife a sog north west ranger?

  • wrap your poles, doesnt if you have two poles or fifty poles... lol

  • Even if you brought rope using it on your A-frame shelter may not be the best idea. it's best to conserve all you can in a survival situation. The rope could be saved for other things

  • and where do you get all that plastic in the wood?

  • Plenty green branches, grass and mud! No need for plastic. And they call it survival school?

  • i hate this plastic bag shit that he does

  • No do one with no string please.

  • While packing rope in your kit is an excellent idea, it is possible to build an emergency shelter without it. Of course, I would rather have the rope than not.

  • alright but he came prepared for getting lost

  • bear grylls is better

  • i would like to take that guy in the bush without no tools at all and see if he can make a shelter with out plastick tarps or anything like that....i would be laughing my ass off ...i can make shelter with out no tools and no plastick tarps ...what a fuckin idiots....i will be a new teacher to show how a survival instead of him

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for the vid. I've got a scout camp where you have to build your own shelters, so this will be helpful !!! /-\ Go 1st Petitcodiac Scouts!

  • i rather sleep in my goretex suite in a little ball under a spruice tree

  • for people who defend him in having plastic: if he is prepared enough to have plastic, rope, a machete, medical supplies, etc. he is likely to at least bring a compass, or maybe even a gps, so those people aren't the ones who are going to need to be in a real survival situation. a survival situation takes place when you are messing around in the woods unprepared, then get lost, or hurt, or attacked or some shit. being prepared= living. unprepared= surviving.

  • quadpod?????????

  • fuck the training is to expensive 100 - 500 dollars wtf

  • can you make a video of how to make a shelter, but not use that plastic? use like, branches and leaves and stuff.

  • @15HeavyMetalHead333 search "debris hut". there are a lot of good vids out there for it

  • his butt was in the way

  • WHAT THE FUCK PLASTIC?? why not bring a tent ... lol

  • you wasted a lot of line

  • tzzzzzzzzzzz

  • people complaining about not having rope etc in a real survival situation, you've gotta be fucking stupid to go into some woods or somewhere else desolate, for a long period of time, without proper gear and equipment,

i.e....''hey lets take a long trip through some woods with no one around for miles''

''okay, i dont need tools though, imf fuckin' inspector gadget''.......

  • @xGH0STS THANK YOU. if you're going into the deep woods you should have a minimal of gear, at least some medical supplies, rope, light source, etc.

  • @BobbySoFamous No problem, keep your videos coming btw!

very informative, no idea when this sort of knowledge could help

  • @xGH0STS In a few videos they use roots as a rope

  • @xGH0STS I think people want to know how to survive without carrying around the local sports store. Hey, there are some solutions to the problem. Ghostsquatter1 and Ghostkamo.

  • @xGH0STS Rope/string is not a common item brought by campers, hikers, etc.

  • @xGH0STS thats true but what if u driving along and your car falls in a lake or some thing and all your things r in it and you have leave it you no what i mean

  • absolute shit!

    1. id be freezing cold, were is the insulation

    2. were the f**k am i going to find a plastic sheet that big in remote woods

    3. were did the rope come from! its not like i plan to survive, the whole point of survival is to learn the art of only using NATURAL resources

  • @peaker16 It's true that he made it a bit too simple to be considered survival. Instead of plastic sheet you can use birch bark (sounds cool too!), great for gathering water and making shelter. Of course if you have this kind of trees and you really are in a life-death situation (shaving trees for fun is not cool).

  • WRONG WAY OF DOING IT. if it rains, the water will come down along the long piece of wood and enter into your shelter. the long piece of wood must be long enough to reach the A thing, and the place where your legs would be at. in survival situation you can use the trees around to break the wood into little pieces, some root (long pieces under the ground) to tie up the A thing, and the vegetation + pieces of wood for what in this video is the plastic thing

  • i made mine by laying the smaller poles either side to the long pole then tied them all together, lifted it up,then u have what he has by 2:23

  • ....Plastic and rope? How is that survival survival is being stranded in a rugged land scape without food wood water nonthing just the clothes on your back THATS REAL survival not having plastic and rope just nonthing and i agree with UserIsAnFBIAgent you can't take a rope out of your ass and to me you can't learn survival until you really survive out in the wilderness with nonthing if i were you i would use the leafs and what nature has to offer!

  • It starts so well, with the frame, nd then he pulls out a sheet of f@@kin plastic!!!!!!!!!! What??????? if you are in the wild where the hell are you gunna get a sheet of plastic from?????? what a bunch of arse. O.J. from the U.K.

  • AS LAME AS THIS SOUNDS, WATCH SURVIVORMAN AND LEARN!! lol. ooOOOoo hes on TV so its fake. not really. its more of a documentary on how to survive. these schools on youtube suck balls

  • wow. plastic? This weekend Me and a friend are going to make a REAL survivor video. not this stupid crap. All im taking with me is a multitool and a coat. same with my friend. NOTHING else. Use things like vines from plants to rope things together. make a bed underneath of you instead of the dirt because that sucks out all the heat from your body, us branches instead of stupid plastic you moron. oh well. watch for my vid here in about 3 weeks or so!

  • i wish youtube had real survival vids like if yur left with nothing... y would you have plastic?

  • trash, tons of forests and creeks have garbage in them, usualy plastic.

  • @adamocond being like Macgyver...

  • @adamocond that would be nice. you probably would not have this much plastic in a survival kit but a solar blanket and garbage bags should be in one (if it is a circumstance that you know you'll be in the woods and you have a survival kit)

  • @adamocond bear grills or ray mars

  • Yeah, I agree with UaTheGreat & mountainman1996.

Where the hell did you pull all that rope from, Your Ass? Because I know god damn well, that there wasn't no freakin rope or yarn out in the woods. Another video on youtube that shows people building lame survival shelter.

And that's why I would NEVER go to a god damn shchool like that, or anything like it. As a matter of a fact, from what I've seen on YouTube, all these schools SUCK. I could do better by a long shot, and then some.

  • speaking from EXPIRIENCE: in a real survival situation, youre more than likely not gonna have plastic, or rope, possibly not even a knife

  • @mountainman1996 I tend to agree that this guy made it too complicated and set up. In real survival, you need quick, easy solutions with what is at hand.

  • in most circumstances you would or should have a survival pack wich these items should be included in. but you are right that there should be videos on primitive survival (as if you were stranded in a plane crash with little man-made tools.)

  • what i wana know is what do you do with no plastic. I mean if your guna bring plastic then you might aswell just bring a tent?

  • @AllyKaht I cut out the part where he talks about there being all sorts of garbage in the woods. If you're in any sort of woods where there's been people, there's probably some sort of garbage or human materials around. If not, use something similar (bark, leaves, whatever). You can make it a habit to bring a garbage bag or two with you whenever you go on a wilderness trek as a safety precaution, they have a lot of uses

  • @BobbySoFamous WOODS? What about if your freakin plane crashes, and your stranded on an island that has no garbage, lol. Then what will you do? Tell ya what I'd do, I'd delete the video, and start over. This time leave the kitchen sink and the rope home.

  • @BobbySoFamous Yeah, you seem SO dependent on garbage. Clearly, not all woods have garbage. This vid is garbage.

  • @AllyKaht takes up

    less space

  • @AllyKaht garbage bags or at least a solar blanket should be in your pack. many survival guides such as les strouds reccomend bringing these.

  • for that shelter i think it would of been better to make a tripod lashing cuz it keeps everything tighter and more together and also about using a tarp u dont necessarily need to find a tarp or trash just find leafy branches and put them on the side

  • ok nice shelter but if your lost what are the odds of having a tarp ife ypu go hiking and get lost the nothing i build real shelters that are in worst situation i could outbild this guy anyday

  • @codyy123ify at another point in the seminar he discusses that there is garbage everywhere that you can use in a survival situation, even the woodsiest woods will have the occasional garbage bag etc

  • Homeboy gotta blue flag on! Don't he know we BLOODS over here in this neck of tha woods...

Don't let me catch that ass buildin' no see thru tepee again...suuuuwwoooooo!!!

  • im glad all those fat ugly people went to a survival camp, otherwise they would be the first to die during the zombie apocalypse.

  • BobbySoSurvival

    lol

  • Great way to keep dry; but not trying to get off the subject and yes little things like this do bother me that i just need to say; well i don't know if the person who got in front of your camera was a friend or relative of yours or not but i think it was very rude of them to do that when they see you were trying to film this. I'm sorry but i had to say this.

  • sixth!!

  • Now,how do you build a hangglider,to get out of the woods?

  • you don't, you walk and use survival knowledge to stay alive.

    shut your mouth.
