  • should i take a tetanus shot?

  • You are a big asshole!

  • No one here believes that fucked up shit is in vaccines given to the people already being mowed down by the U.S, military? Is almost everyone saying that "the american gov wouldn't do that"? Dude. We know the stupid desperate monkey suited dorks will do ANYthing to suck a higher-ups dick...including cover ups.

Everything they hand out is mostly truth spiked with just enough lie to get it twisted. Think vaccines don't reflect that?

I'm not so sure they don't.

  • @demi339 - Thanks, I used to think I had a STD for a long time. And thankfully there was no positive on the test I took. Which I was afraid to take for well over two years. I now drive myself crazy with who I can and can't date, because everyone has slept with everyone these days. :( I don't want to get anything I can spread. Because I've kind of been there already.

  • Celebrate Life Magazine, back in December of 2009, showed how this Cenk Uygur is completely full of it.

  • @DozerfleetProd Defending batshit Bachman?

  • @Spaghettimonster777 Better than defending NAMBLA, which yearns for the day that 11-year-old boys get pumped full of untested vaccines and parents get locked up for so much as not liking it.

  • Wow the young turks are dumb. Why don't they do a little research before attacking Bachmann. I by no means agree with Bachmann's policies but she's right about vaccines and Gardasil. All the media has to do is look at the CDC's own records!! It's right there showing over 100 girls have died from in, and over 40,000 are now permanently disabled due to the vaccine. Why does the media refuse to do their job?

  • @midtra52 could you send me the link to that information please?

  • @phdan123 Go to pubmed and search any vaccine study, read the study, look at what they called the "placebo" it wasn't a placebo. Go to thinktwice dot c o m and look at the studies showing vaccine damage. Google VAERS and look at the injuries in the database for each vaccine. Look at any study attempting to sell a vaccine and check the duration, it's rarely done for more than a month yet the seller will claim a vaccine works for life. Just read any vaccine study really.

  • @midtra52 So correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't VAERS associated with the cdc? because the CDC seems to discredit whatever VAERS puts forth

  • @phdan123 Yeah the CDC and the HHS originally setup VAERS so that when peopled asked "why are you ignoring all these vaccine injuries?" the CDC could say "oh but see we track them.. sort of". But now the CDC likes to say they aren't in charge of VAERS and the Health Department tends to do the same thing. But right on the VAERS homepage it says it's cosponsored by the CDC and the FDA (both very corrupt organizations).

  • @midtra52 I'm going to play the devil's advocate here, and ask have you ever considered VAERS might be a bit alarmist?

  • @phdan123 Alarmist how? They even say themselves that only 1% to 10% of vaccine injuries are reported. So if anything it's the complete opposite of alarmist. Aside from VAERS the questions to ask is why are vaccine manufacturers granted legal immunity in the U.S., and why do health departments refuse to collect and report data on vaccine injuries. No other industry in the world has legal immunity though. That's the scary thing.

  • @midtra52 Very true, any industry having immunity is troubling. I guess it all comes down to the willingness of the health care profession to launch a greater investigation into this system. As a layman, I have a bit of trouble understanding the data put forth. Seeing as most people are like me, I would definitely say that wider research by big institutions into vaccines is necessary. Until that happens, I'm going to take my chances.

  • @midtra52 For years, the abortion industry had legal immunity. It took a while to reverse that.

  • Was HPV the catalyst for Bachmann's retardation?

  • vagina

  • People need to get out of the dark ages abstinence programs do not work well they work if people stick to them but they don`t. The HPV vaccine will help prevent women from dying why is that a bad thing?

  • @Sammygirl1231

It's a good thing but it's just being used as a political weapon because Rick Perry "mandated" that everyone take it. Freedom of Choice contradicts his executive order so this is Michelle Bachmann once again trying to create political weapons out of otherwise serious issues.

  • Go to the website judicialwatch ending in org slash gardasil

Find out how the FDA/CDC covered up some 20 documents on side effects of Gardasil.

There has never been any long term studies on this vaccine. Cervical Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide where there is poor health and sanitary conditions.

  • Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has received new documents from the (FDA) under the t (FOIA), detailing reports of adverse reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), Gardasil. 26 new deaths reported between September 1, 2010 and September 15, 2011 as well as incidents of seizures, paralysis, blindness, pancreatitis, speech problems, short term memory loss and Guillain-Barré Syndrome.

  • @DarcySGrill

I really like youtube. It can be really educational. But it is not a reliable source by itself. both of the videos you source ultimately return to conspiracy websites. Making me doubt the veracity of their claims.

  • @DarcySGrill

Secondly, Science is not an argument from authority. the quality of the science that shows us that vaccines are safe do not depend on whether or not the individual is moral or not. This story angers me, but It has no relevance here. If a guy who worked at general electric did the things this woman did, i'd be mad. But i wouldn't start arguing that my fridge was trying to kill me because of it

  • I don`t like the vaccine. it should be given as a choice along with education of risks involved. there have been fatalities possibly due to the vaccine. even 1 death is enough for me to say no. what`s the point of vaccination if you`re dead?

  • @MsSevenstation the point of vaccines is to rid the world of the disease. If you die from the vaccine, that means the chances of me getting the disease are lowered. So if you die from the vaccine, I'd say that's better than both of us having polio.

Now back in reality, vaccines aren't dangerous, please read up on the facts instead of listening to old wives tales.

  • michele bachmann is a cumbucket

  • All the teabag repubs (not ALL republicans, just the insane, far right, gun-toting, bible-thumping, anti science, anti environment, anti middle and lower class types) should just move to Somalia and see first-hand how their vision of government would play out. I know they are a very long shot from actually being elected, but it's scary to think about what our future holds if one of these crazies is elected, or if Senate and House numbers shift further right. Use your heads, vote Obama.

  • I'm 28 years old. I was just diagnosed with cervical cancer. This vaccine would have been a miracle had it been available for me. For her to say this makes me crazy.

  • The HPV vaccine can be very dangerous for a small subset of women. That risk is still there, you dumb shits.

  • @MaicoMoon As is for ANY vaccine, "dumb shit".

  • It's a shame that all people can breed so easily.

  • 20,000 report adverse reactions to Guardasil alone. Source, CDC.

  • that lyin' ass bitch

  • There are over a hundred different hpvs that infect people . Most clear up on their own with time. its a lie that a wart in your crotch gives you cancer any more than a plantar wart gives you foot cancer. Thank God I didnt get finger cancer from that wart I had once! Sorry Cenk, but this time your the dumbass. learn the difference between an innoculation and a vaccination.

  • where I live, we get HPV vaccines in grade 9 at school unless the parents don't want their daughter to get it

  • And come on, what's with this big push from big pharma to inject kids with yet another vaccine? There is always a hidden agenda, cervical cancer is not a leading cause of death for women and if anything I learned from TYT is that the establishment should always be questioned for their reasoning. I hate to say it and it's true that Bachmann is a loon but Cenk goes astray in saying there is no fact that vaccines hurt people...plenty of autism cases get settled due to vaccination side effects.

  • Watched this interesting documentary recently...did you know that polio vaccine was originally grown in monkey kidneys? That's a fact, and several of the people who worked on the african polio program from decades ago confirmed those monkeys were never tested for other diseases, and it seems very likely at this point that the ppl responsible for that project actually injected the aids virus, taken from infected monkeys, in countless children which is why the aids pandemic blossomed so quickly...

  • Yeah this is leaning towards a TYT fail here...what's the point of hitting Bachmann at this point, she is not low enough in the polls?? Children are given way too many vaccines these days, big pharma settles dozens if not hundreds of cases each year for having caused various levels of autism, look at the swine flu pandemic fiasco where the WHO and big pharma colluded to force countries to stockpile their shit with pandemic lies...

  • @theyoungturks Wait a minute back when this story 1st hit Cenk and Ana pointed out the the drug was to new and untested and was being given 6 grade girl in order to go to school. And drug maker is a friend of Rick Perry. Cenk look up your own vids this is a TUT fail

  • Polio vaccine is not totally safe but compared to the ravages of the actual disease is much, much safer than the disease. The main risk according the the CDC is an allergic reaction with Anaphylaxisis and that risk is very low. The other risks are pretty mild and are things like redness at the injection site fussiness and fever.

How could Michele Bachman even question the HPV vaccine? I question the wisdom of those that voted her into her office.

  • Bachmann is an antivaxer.

  • SO satan just gave me a vaccine when he did piss on me ?

  • Yeah, those rubella, measles, mumps, pertussis, polio, and smallpox vaccines have been just awful for humanity.

Bachmann must feel naked now that she's no longer able to wear her tinfoil hat for fear that she's caught on camera sporting it.

  • If humans succumb to another rising disease in coming years, i hope Michelle Bachmann bravely declines getting vaccinated. That way she proves it doesn't work when she dies.

  • Free speech is great, but some ppl should have their mouths and the sounds that come out of them registered as a leathal weapons! You know alot of dumb-ass parents are going to keep their daughters from getting this life saving vaccine. The lucky ones may just get HPV and a possible Hysterectomy! The others will get HPV that will develope into cervical cancer, then death! All because of Bachmann's twisted words! These kids are inocent and don't have to die a horrible death from HPV!

  • @ginko27 I'm pretty sure those kids can get the vaccine at a later point. So the people you are talking avout dying over her words has to 1. Not taken the vaccine before she got infected with HPV. Around one in a hundred sexually active people has HPV. Condoms would defend against HPV. 2. This person would have to develop cancer on account of it. 3. She'd have to die from it.

I'm pretty much comfortable in allowing free speech instead of limiting it because of those 2 innocent people.

  • @TheCarambah Condoms are effective against HPV to a point, but to a rape victim or someone who had a condom break having the vaccine is one less worry. Also, cervical cancer as a result of HPV kills more ppl in the USA than AIDS. Worldwide AIDS still devistates developing countries though, but HPV records arent kept so it unclear how many deaths worldwide result from HPV? My point is that HPV deaths are totaly preventable now ONLY if you get your child vaccinated before sex! Words can kill too!

  • @ginko27 You missed my main point. Yes, that might happen. They would have to 1. Not take the vaccine. 2. Be raped. 3. The rapist must have HPV and infect her. 4. She must get cancer later on. The amount of people you are talking about is so astonoshingly low, that you should rather involve yourself in an anti drinking and driving campaign. However, Bachmann has probably not said anything about drinking and driving. Let's face it, most people on here only care because Bachmann said something.

  • Vaccines are so wonderful that most people in here would put a gun to a persons head and force them to take it in the arm!

  • la lalala lalala la la

she just a lyin' ass bitch

  • Bachmann has issued a statement in which she reveals that she herself had the vaccine and thus can testify that it makes you a retard -as well as causing migraines.

  • "No evidence to that effect"....Really Cenk?

I'm very disappointed in TYT for this one. The Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) cites 18,000 Gardasil-related adverse events, including at least 65 deaths. Is this the TYT compromise to truth for working under the shadow of Al Gore? Sorry everyone, there is no such thing as honest news, you have to fend for yourselves. Good Luck to you all.

  • @boywndr52

As of September 15, 2011, approximately 40 million doses of Gardasil® were distributed in the U.S

    18,000/40,000,000 *100 = 0.045% adverse effect rate

    65/40,000,000 = 1.7 * 10^-4 % mortality rate

We measure things by comparing them, How does this compare to other vaccines?

  • @dlhitch2007 I'm not sure what conclusion you expect me to believe from your display of numbers. I'll just present a hypothetical scenario and you can crunch the numbers for your amusement. If 18,000 Mcdonalds cheeseburgers were officially recognized as the cause of serious adverse effects, let alone the cause of 65 deaths of American citizens, they would simply be shut down...Period.

Now you can go find out how many Mcdonalds cheeseburgers have been sold and tell me the percentages.

  • @boywndr52

Analogy fail. Cheeseburgers provide no medical benefit. HPV vaccine prevents a disease that puts women at high risk for cervical cancer. Compare it to other vaccines rather than cheeseburgers if you want to convince me that it's unsafe.

  • @dlhitch2007 understanding of point fail. There's nothing more i can do for you. Happy travels.

  • @dlhitch2007 Hmm... One suspicious death and baby formula pulled from the shelves pending an investigation. Why does this not apply to vaccines?

And while a bit staircase arguing here, your point about what provides medical benefits vs not.... think about it, something that is supposed to cure you ends up killing you should be under much more scrutiny.

  • @boywndr52 Here's the bottom line. A republican says something, and Cenk must come up with a negative spin on it. It's how he makes a living. TYT caters to the most retarded of the liberal left. It's a fact. Unless the fact checking team over at Huffington Post finds errors, Cenk Uygur sure as hell isn't going to.

  • @TheCarambah I suppose I must be one of those retarded people you speak of. But I do not wish to argue about it. Cenk has a knack for breaking down fallacious logic within the whole spectrum of political discussion rivaled only by folks like Jon Stewart, Ron Paul, and Noam Chomsky, which is quite admirable. I'm sorry your view is corralled within the public relations wresltemania spectacle. You're not going to find any truth in there, but you'll get a great show, which is by design.

  • I wonder why the Roots played "Lying ass bitch" to introduce Bachman

  • Can't we all just agree that we hate big pharma but that we need vaccines?

  • Without vaccines humanity would be fucked.

  • @DerrenBrown100 Without 98% of government, humanity would flourish.

  • @DerrenBrown100 without vaccines, the average lifespan for a person would be 35...same as back in the old west.

  • If any "ravaging" of girls is going to be done--- Michele Bachmann wants to be the only one doing it!!!

  • @jon32407

So 2012 is the end of the world.

  • @NotImportant1984

"the argument I make is that this was unnatural in the extreme"

What point are you trying to make? Most of what humans do is unnatural. But as humans we have an instinct to live and to help others, not to wait around doing nothing. Are you advocating that we all live in hermit caves and wipe our asses with leaves? You sound like a contrarian.

  • I don't have an issue with vaccines in general, but I do have issues with this one. I don't think it's really passed muster to be considered "safe." Added to that, Perry forcing it upon 12 year old girls really rankles me. Even a psycho anti-vaxer should have the right to say no to vaccines -I would get my kid vaccinated (with the usual round MMR, etc.), but I don't want the government forcing me to do so.

  • @Bardlettt

It's necessary to vaccinate everyone in a population, otherwise the effect is diminished. And anyone who sends their kids to school without vaccinations is putting them and the other kids at risk. If you don't want them forced, don't send them to school.

  • @dudev No, it's only necessary to vaccinate most* of the population. The small percentage of loonies who think vaccines are Satan's piss will be covered by herd immunity. If your kid is vaccinated...well, you don't have to worry -it's the unvaccinated kid that's going to take the brunt force of a virus. Freedom maintained, it's up to the dumb fucks if they want their kid to have polio.

  • @Bardlettt

The few who don't get vaccinated keep the disease alive and well and ever evolving. So it does affect the larger population in the long term. And the kids aren't the dumb ones, their parents are. Why should children have to suffer for their parents stupidity?

  • In Drugs we Trust, and In Nature we Destroy!

  • ROFL URINE OF SATAN!! Would they take it if it was the urine of Mohammad?? LOL

  • hmmm, Satan Urine cures cancer.... I'd take that golden shower.

  • Cenk, some people died as a result of the vaccine that Perry pushed. While I don't particularly like Michelle Bachmann, and maybe I would haven't used the word "ravages", to some extent she's right.

Regardless, these vaccines were forced on the girls. They had no ability to say no. This is wrong. We don't need government to tell us what we can and can't put into our bodies, or to force us to put things into our bodies. Almost everything government says about food and health is wrong.

  • @egervari That's not correct. You could opt out of the vaccine if you wanted to.

  • @GoSuMonSteR Wonderful, so if you don't opt out, you're still forced to take it. How about you don't take it unless you opt in/consent? Isn't that the right approach for anything in life? Why the heck do you have to go through all the hassle of opting out of something that is obviously bad for you?

Even if they wanted to take it, I'm sure they didn't want to die or get hurt as a result of taking the damn thing. This is a violation of individual rights no matter how you look at it.

  • @egervari People die from lots of things. The fact is, vaccines have saved millions of lives; tons of children would be getting sick if it weren't for vaccines; so to say that vaccines are "bad for you" and was forced on people is really disingenuous.

  • @GoSuMonSteR I doesn't matter if vaccines are the best invention the world has ever seen, it's wrong for government to force you to take it. We have rights to life, liberty and property - and these rights are acknowledged by our founding documents. The fact is, forced vaccinations - hell, forced ANYTHING - violates our rights. This is a fact.

I am not against vaccines on the private market. If people want them, they can choose to buy them and doctors can be responsible for the consequences.

  • @GoSuMonSteR The problem is that if government gives you a vaccine, and it either hurts you or kills you, regardless of how many people it might have helped, what happens? Are you really going to sue the government? How well does that ever work out? The government throws out or rigs every case that points out what a bunch of thugs they are.

  • @GoSuMonSteR A real-free market system, the vaccines would be better tested before they are distributed. If someone got sick or died due to a vaccine, the company would be responsible. We don't have a free market system though, so big pharma often gets off the hook for the wrongs it does, and it gets subsidized by the very government you're trying to suggest is "on the side of the people". They aren't.

That's what is so wrong about this - they force people to take them, and tax you for it.

  • @egervari lol Then a "free-market" system would have no way of working, because for EVERY medication out there, there's a small % of people who will die from it. That's a fact. Lawsuits would fill up the court system and literally take forever. If you don't want to vaccinate your child then homeschool him or her.

  • @GoSuMonSteR Free market system will have no way of working? Says who? And are you seriously defending the soft-fascist/socialist system we have now? It's working like crap. It is absolutely NOT defensible anymore. We need something that has been proven to actually work in the brief periods in our history where we mostly had a free-market system. In order for this to work, we need to have proper property rights, which we don't have right now.

  • @egervari Show me anywhere in the world where your so called free-market capitalism is at work. There's no such thing; it's an oxymoron.

  • @GoSuMonSteR It is currently not at work because corrupt banks, corporations, war profiteers, etc. would not profit under such a system. The reason it doesn't exist is not because it's a bad system - it's actually the opposite. The dictators and oligarchies around the world would never profit in such a system.

Don't bash a system because it's not being employed by anyone. Instead, maybe ask, "why isn't it?"

For your info, America was the first to experiment in free-market capitalism.

  • @egervari LOL it's not being used because there's no such thing as a free-market. It always ends up the same, disaster. America was not exactly an experiment in free-market capitalism, more like free-labor capitalism. Don't blame the rich, blame yourself for letting the rich do whatever they want.

  • @GoSuMonSteR As with medications, there are risks, but these risks need to be communicated and known in advance, and the person needs to CONSENT. This is what is not happening today with the vaccines. They just force you to take it, and if you die or get sick, it's: "well, sucks to be you."

I'm sorry, but government is supposed to protect our rights, not violate them. This is the exact opposite function of what government is supposed to do.

  • @GoSuMonSteR As for the courts being backed up, where is the evidence of this line of thinking? You know, if the government wasn't involved in 98% of the stuff it currently does, they would have a lot more resources to do the functions they ought to be doing, like protecting our rights, running the courts and defending the nation.

  • @egervari you seem to know what your talking about, do you mind if I ask where the information, relating to the deaths caused by the vaccine, came from?

  • @paddyl888 There are many sources, including reuters and others. It's been discussed on lewrockell's website (google it) and many other liberty-minded websites. Dr. Paul has dicussed it as well.

  • @egervari I had a search for your sources but couldn't find any info linking the vaccine to any deaths, perhaps if you post your sources you can help. However I did do a basic pubmed search for the vaccine and found a few reveiws of the vaccines (cervarix [GSK] and Gardasil [Merk & Co]) which indicated that they had a very high safety profile with the only side-effects being a reaction around the injection site. It seems that issues surrounding this debate isn't medical but political philosophy.

  • Vaccines have been used to depopulate those poor countries, watch ZBVqblu_GuQ for a good summary.

  • Cenk said it himself; That particular type of cancer has not been an issue for years, IT IS TREATABLE. The vaccine is not necessary and has not been proven effective anyways. It should not be paid for by government. The HPV vaccine has caused much more problems than it is preventing. LOOK IT UP; it kills and cripples!

  • Mandatory vaccines to the extent they are is bullshit.

Offer an HPV vaccine, don't mandate it.

I'm with Ron Paul on this one. There's business in overmedicating babies.

  • It's obvious that vaccines can have adverse and sometimes serious side effects. That shouldn't be ridiculous to anyone since it has chemicals such as mercury (which we know to be dangerously harmful to the human body). I think it should be anyones choice whether to risk the vaccine(s). And don't say there isn't a risk. Any risk is a risk.

  • Urine of Satan? I'm glad those fucking Paki retards are getting polio. It means future terrorist shitbags won't survive to adulthood.

  • I don't care what stupid cunts think about anything and most of the people I know feel the same way, so why does the media keep reporting the dumb stuff this stupid cunt says?

  • Bachman ist extremely ugly. She looks like a demon.

  • @haveahorst And you look like what?

  • @NotImportant1984

It's also arrogant to decide who lives and who dies. Are you advocating withholding vaccines from people? And good farming techniques, clean water, and sanitation have increased the world's population far more than any medical treatments. Would you advocate withholding those from people, too? Are you going to volunteer to be one who goes without?

  • I apologize on behave of my homestate of Iowa that Bachmann was ever born...

  • If your dumb enough to listen to Michele Bachmann, you deserve cervical cancer

  • I think Michele Bachmann is coocoo for cocoa puffs, but it does say on the Gardasil website that some of the side effects are seizures & headaches. (Granted, not the mental retardation that she was claiming before.) But go on the website & you will see that those side effects are listed on the website.

  • @meganmooresvideos You liar. It doesn't say on the website that gardasil has any side effects. Cenk Uygur has already statet there is absolutely no evidence to that effect. What Uygur says is the law on the internet, because he's smart, republicans are evil and the TYT crowd have high IQs because they watch TYT.

  • @TheCarambah Is this supposed to be saracasm? Because there is a link on the website that talks about the side effects.

  • @meganmooresvideos If Cenk Uygur says that there are no evidence to that effect, that pretty much means that the website you are referring to is wrong.

  • @meganmooresvideos i had\having a "fight" with the carambah aswell, who ever this he or she is mentally retarded just letting you know that people are seeing the replys and agreeing with you :)

  • @meganmooresvideos oh my gosh im seeing the replys with the carambah and hes obviously mentally retarded i had a fight with him and just letting you know i agree with you :)

  • @superkdluver oh really, is that why she got 0 thumbs up?

  • @Raelsatu Yes, big pharmaceutical companies do make a lot of money and spend a lot of it on marketing. But vaccines are very cheap. That's why charities and other NGO's can go vaccinating lots of people in 3rd world countries. There's far more money in drugs for things like arthritis, heart disease, cancer, etc because people take them every day for many years. Don't include vaccines in your otherwise mostly justified anti-big-pharma sentiments.

  • I love how you guys talk so much about these Republican candidates. Educates me about American politics and entertains me at the same time. :)

  • @ashleycarnadie If you think their agenda is to educate you, you are mistaken. They haven't talked at all about Jon Huntsman, because Huntsman could be a serious threat to Obama. If you like TYT so much, you can just rather go to Huffington post, because that's whereTYT steal 95% of their stories.

  • im so tired of these anti-science retards

  • @theaceofspades39 then youre living in the worng country

  • I have to agree with "Batshit" Bachmann on this one my cousin has a friend that got cancer after taking the vaccine

  • @hoganfan200 Sorry to hear that, but are you really sure that your cousins friend didn't just get cancer that had nothing whatsoever to do with the vaccine? I don't think so many doctors across the world would recommend a vaccine that would do something so dangerous.

  • @lynottlives "I don't think so many doctors across the world would recommend a vaccine that would do something so dangerous."

Have you ever heard about Thalidomide?

  • @TheCarambah Or Rezulin or Vioxx or Actos. But that's beside the point. There's few causal links or corollary evidence to support Bachmann's premise.

  • @upabittoolate The fact is that the vaccine is so new to the market it's hard to know what the long term effects could be. And the premise is in fact that the people should be allowed to determine themselves if they want this vaccine, instead of forcing it on 11 year old girls. Bachmann is not calling for a ban on it.

  • @TheCarambah The slippery slope argument won't work simply beause logical fallacies aren't acceptable when we have some actual data. There's actually little corollary evidence between long-term effects & the vaccine; at least not on a large scale. There's plenty of people with ASA allergies but no 1 is trying to ding on aspirin the way Bachmann is doing when she doubles down on her talking points. Geez, would you at least read an abstract (they're available) before you publish comments?

  • @upabittoolate The funny thing is that I didn't even make any slippery slope argument to you as you accuse me of. Also, I doubt you read many scientific papers on the subject. The point that is important is the right of choice. Although it's cute reading your Oswald Bates schtick.

  • @TheCarambah You obviously don't know what a sliuppery slope argument is. Critical thinking fail. As stated, there's plenty of data. Waht makes you look even dumber is that we're ONLINE. I've actually read quite a bit of data on the subject; it's part of my job to know. Spare me the "right to choice" shit. I don't want to pay higher premiums for smokers, you don't want to pay higher taxes for welfare moms. ARe you really this dim?

  • @upabittoolate No, I am pretty certain you don't know what a slippery slope argument is, since you say I made one. Yes, there is plenty of data. Enough data for TYT to actually know that saying "No evidence to that effect" is false.

I don't know who you have been debating about this, but it seems you already had a long discussion inside your own head, before you started posting me. No, I don't want to pay higher premiums and taxes, but since I already am I might as well live in a free society.

  • @TheCarambah Project much? YOU said there's not enough evidence. The long discussion is being had by the person behind your keyboard. Nevertheless, I don't wanna pay for someone's cancer if I know there's preventitive medicine that's not only cheaper in the long term but it also keeps people healthy. I don't catch colds but I have to get vaccinated; that's the job. Spare me the nonsense about "choice". Choose a Whooper over a Big Mac. Don't try playing with women's health.

  • @upabittoolate There's enough evidence to say that the vaccines may have side effects. Merck's website even says so. You don't want to pay this and that, I can understand that. I can somewhat relate. However, I can not condone the government forcing people to inject an unwanted substance into their body. If they want the substance, let them have it free of charge. However mandatory vaccinations, no way in hell.

It's a moral discussion, since the economic aspect of this is nearly non-existent.

  • Also - So a dim whit ding bat who wants to be president is an anti-vaxer? Huh, who would have thought that a total moron most likely lacking in the DNA department and doesn't understand evolution so she says it's wrong dumb-ass would be an anti-vaxer. I never knew that a religitard idiot, who thinks that the world is 6000 years old and that the Flintstones was a documentary wouldn't have a goot shot at being the leader of the US. FUCKING AMAZING!

  • Anti-vaxers are some weird kind of retarded. I got massively sick from my last flu vaccine, but it's the only time I have even run a fever from a vaccine, and that only makes me 0.001% of people who got sick. 99.991% of people avoid disease because of vaccines! What a bitch is Bachmann.

  • @hevyAccel Are you sure it was from a vaccine? I'm pretty sure modern vaccines don't contain any active bacteria or viruses so I don't see how you could get an infection from one. You probably caught it from one of the people around you.

  • @Miranox2 Probably true.I've made vaxes for the past couple years. But you are probably right on this. Can't guess though. Not even after a couple years of doing it in real actual life. Weird how real life makes things that are true not seem so real.

  • @Miranox2 They do

  • @hevyAccel You seem to be confused. People that use the term 'anti-vaxxer' to label anyone advocating vaccine safety/efficacy are "some weird kind of retarded". Go to deathbyvaccine(dot)com, and you'll find that while we administer 3x the number of vaccines [before age 5] as countries such as Japan and Iceland; infant mortality & autism rates are far higher. The ignorant people are those that think it's a good idea to vaccinate for EVERYTHING; and even worse, enact forced inoculation.

  • @Raelsatu You do understand that becoming actually, factually retarded, is MUCH more likely by ignoring an actual infection, right? I just want to make sure. No offense intended.

  • @TheCarambah in the near future there will be a breathing tax for peasants and rich people will have the freshest air stored in cans. oh, and Al gore will be the king of America. could happen. :p

  • There is a difference between thinking a vaccine is made from Satan's urine, and pointing out that there have been allot of girls have become ill after having taken the HPV. Now the hysteria around it is getting extreme, and I am not saying we should not have a HPV vaccine, however with so many people saying they have gotten ill from it, perhaps one should do some more testing before putting it to widespread use.

  • @Venefica82 usually it's all anecdotes by people who don't understand the correlation/causation fallacy.

  • @BillKiernan Perhaps however when a problem starts right after the vaccine and many others experience the same that is a pretty big induction that it can be related. Also you have CFS which many claim started shortly after vaccination and which is usually not addressed at all by the drug companies since CFS is not recognized by many as a real illness. Now I am not saying that this vaccine is a horrible idea, and the chance of getting a negative effect is pretty small, however I think it is...

  • @Venefica82 have you ever heard of phase 0- V Clinical trials? what you are talking about is Phase IV trails...

  • @BillKiernan wrong to just dismiss people's concerns. You say people do not understand correlation, well when a healthy person go to get a vaccine, get sick from it and then start to get chronic headaches or even full blown CFS then it is not a fallacy of reason to suspect the vaccine. Now I think it is a shame that this debate seam to be made up of those that are completely dismissing any danger with the vaccine on one end and those that demonises it on the other. The vaccine saves lives...

  • @BillKiernan and it is not part of some big conspiracy, however at the same time I think that the potential side effects of the drug should be looked more into so that people can be informed about the benefits and dangers of the vaccine. There is a golden middle path in this debate and I think it is a shame so few people see that. CFS is pretty bad, but the illness the vaccine protects against is deadly so the vaccine is a good thing, but I think it needs more research.
