After her 1987 album 'I Stand Alone" she withdrew complete from the spotlight living a very secluded life rarely seen in public. In 2004 after 17 years in seclusion she broke her silence and recorded an album "My Colouring Book" Everyone is happy that she came back into the spotlight.
Agentha was togehter with Björn Ulveus, a fine Swedish man as good as any woman could hope to find, and she left him on a whim.
Agnetha was always as selfish and whimsy as any other woman. ABBA made music for the ages, but if you think that Agnetha and Frida were saints you are deluded. Neither of them would look twice at you.
The biggest reason ABBA split up was because the women wanted more. Björn & Benny continue to work together.
@VitzTheLocutor I find it hard to believe Agnetha left Bjorn "on a whim" when she was married to him for years. If she "wanted more", maybe she wanted a life that wasn't only glam and glitz and constant travel (I heard she has a fear of flying too). You are pretty hard on her. I think Bjorn, (and don't get me wrong because I'm a huge fan of ALL of them), but he and Benny are workaholics and are still going at it under full steam until this day. That might be too much for a lot of people.
@VitzTheLocutor . Well first of all we don't know what Frida and Agnetha were getting paid while doing the grueling tours and recording schedules of Abba. So if they wanted more, I can't say I blame them. Interesting enough, Benny and Bjorn dumped them and continued their "homo" business marriage. They still work together till this day and mostly write music for production purposes. Nothing beats friends. Friends are better than lovers in my opinion

I am as big an Aggie fan as anyone, but please do not compare Aggie with Frida, they complemented one another in voice and appearence, anyone who has seen the I Do, I Do video in the meadow must believe that, Aggie had the more stronger, dynamic voice, Frida the more friendlier, mellower voice, Aggie the better bottom, Frida the better legs, and when Frida's hair was fluffed out in tresses, as in the Super Trouper offical video, her hair was the equal of Aggie's long blonde mane. Agnetha has aged very gracefully and beside having an angel's voice, I like the fact that she is a very shy person who cares a lot about children and animals. In one of her interview she stated that she hates to see either one of those two hurts (Children and animal). She seems like a very private person and I also like that. Most individuals once achieving celebrity status usually like to continue and stay in the spot light until they're too old to go out anymore such as Liz Taylor.
It seems to me that the haunted, frightened little girl in ABBA has finally become a happy, confident and still beautiful woman. It's good to see; I hope for Agnetha's sake that my impressions are correct.

When ABBA came out with Waterloo I was only 13 years old and Agnetha was in her late teens or early 20's. Now I'm 47 and she's almost 60. We all get old. But we can do it with grace like I hope I am and like Agnetha obviously has. Here's hoping she has a long and happy life.

Okay, on the bankruptcy story. A freelance reporter did some supposed research and a few years ago wrote a story that even got into our US "magazines". It was likely sold first to European tabloids first, as ABBA was not as popular in the USA. I read it one day in the doctor's office. It said how Ms. Faltskog was gyped out of a lot of money due to royalties and such and that her taxable income was about equal to $107,000.00 per year; it said that her expenses were eating up all of her savings.

@EddieAlda In her early days before ABBA she wanted the publicity but after ABBA risen to fame she became the most shy infront of the media and it took it's toll on her. After her 1987 album 'I Stand Alone" she withdrew complete from the spotlight living a very secluded life rarely seen in public. In 2004 after 17 years in seclusion she broke her silence and recorded an album "My Colouring Book" Everyone is happy that she came back into the spotlight.

Agentha was togehter with Björn Ulveus, a fine Swedish man as good as any woman could hope to find, and she left him on a whim.
Agnetha was always as selfish and whimsy as any other woman. ABBA made music for the ages, but if you think that Agnetha and Frida were saints you are deluded. Neither of them would look twice at you.
The biggest reason ABBA split up was because the women wanted more. Björn & Benny continue to work together.

@VitzTheLocutor I find it hard to believe Agnetha left Bjorn "on a whim" when she was married to him for years. If she "wanted more", maybe she wanted a life that wasn't only glam and glitz and constant travel (I heard she has a fear of flying too). You are pretty hard on her. I think Bjorn, (and don't get me wrong because I'm a huge fan of ALL of them), but he and Benny are workaholics and are still going at it under full steam until this day. That might be too much for a lot of people.

@VitzTheLocutor . Well first of all we don't know what Frida and Agnetha were getting paid while doing the grueling tours and recording schedules of Abba. So if they wanted more, I can't say I blame them. Interesting enough, Benny and Bjorn dumped them and continued their "homo" business marriage. They still work together till this day and mostly write music for production purposes. Nothing beats friends. Friends are better than lovers in my opinion

Has anyone received a black and white autographed postcard of Agnetha in the last few years. If so, has anyone had one of these signed postcards professionally authenticated. Because I've received one recently, and I've seen a number of people on the internet, have recieved the same thing, and I'm unsure if it is authentic, original and hand signed by Agnetha herself.

I am as big an Aggie fan as anyone, but please do not compare Aggie with Frida, they complemented one another in voice and appearence, anyone who has seen the I Do, I Do video in the meadow must believe that, Aggie had the more stronger, dynamic voice, Frida the more friendlier, mellower voice, Aggie the better bottom, Frida the better legs, and when Frida's hair was fluffed out in tresses, as in the Super Trouper offical video, her hair was the equal of Aggie's long blonde mane. VIVA BOTH!!!

She also still has the same sweet eyes and smile, that just shows she was always a true sweetheart. When you get older you wear your character on your face.

Agnetha has aged very gracefully and beside having an angel's voice, I like the fact that she is a very shy person who cares a lot about children and animals. In one of her interview she stated that she hates to see either one of those two hurts (Children and animal). She seems like a very private person and I also like that. Most individuals once achieving celebrity status usually like to continue and stay in the spot light until they're too old to go out anymore such as Liz Taylor.

Agnetha was given a beautiful voice. We are so blessed that she chose to share it with the world at great sacrifice to herself. She was foremost a wife and mother. She sings like an angel. No conceit, only passion for each song. She has that magnificient gift of making us feel like she is just one of us. Thanks for the music ABBA,for sharing it with us. When ABBA came out with Waterloo I was only 13 years old and Agnetha was in her late teens or early 20's. Now I'm 47 and she's almost 60. We all get old. But we can do it with grace like I hope I am and like Agnetha obviously has. Here's hoping she has a long and happy life.

Okay, on the bankruptcy story. A freelance reporter did some supposed research and a few years ago wrote a story that even got into our US "magazines". It was likely sold first to European tabloids first, as ABBA was not as popular in the USA. I read it one day in the doctor's office. It said how Ms. Faltskog was gyped out of a lot of money due to royalties and such and that her taxable income was about equal to $107,000.00 per year; it said that her expenses were eating up all of her savings.
