  • Cool vid

  • is it still standing?

  • This is east of Ashland at 41st Street. It is engine 53's old quarters and was built in 1919. CFD stopped using the station in 1964. The reason there is nothing around it is because it was in the middle of the old Stock Yards which is obviously not there anymore. It's main purpose was to protect the yards and there were never any residential homes surrounding it.

  • @walleyeking23 Thank you very much for the extra information!

  • i need to know how to get there

  • Damn, if that's not in a gang riddled crime infested neighborhood and its not too deteriorated, then that would make for one hell of a house or bar.

  • Any inside shots?

  • Nope. Outside only.

  • @isplotchy Ahh dam. Id love to see what the inside looks like

  • This must be the far Southside. Many of the areas are gone including the homes that once surrounded that old firehouse.

  • what road is it on?

  • Packers St.

  • do u know the adress??

  • No buildings around to protect, no wonder why it's been closed.

  • where is this exactly

  • pretty cool!

  • Is this old engine 53's house on packers st. ?

  • Yes, I believe it is! Thanks a lot. I was driving around scouting for locations yesterday in the stockyards neighborhood, and I didn't write down the street it was on. I am pretty certain you are correct.
